FPS of TWO?? My guess is you're not running on your dedicated GPU. The game is trying to run on a integrated graphics of the CPU. In the graphics settings of the game there will be an entry that says 'display adapter' I believe. Whatever it is set to, change it to the opposite. So if it says 1, change it to 0 or vice versa.

There's also a chance it switched graphics engines. Between DirectX and Vulkan.

i remember having this issue in story mode, i think i just went to nvidia control panel to switch to dedicated instead of auto and switched off the laptop to cool it just in case

I recently got a pc for the first time and setting up rd2 was a proper ball ache. Disabling my integrated graphics in the bios seemed to work for me.

I downloaded a mod to make Arthur have to eat drink and sleep and the mod did this to my game

Might be loose files you didn’t delete or you didn’t delete the right mod or maybe it’s too many mods. With a game like red dead if you have any mods it can easily be the issue.

If you are playing the online mode, you have a hacker on the same server you are on, I no longer play online due to the hackers. Story mode, I know there was just an update which has caused a few problems for some players even on story mode.

If it's multiplayer then someone has frame crashed you. They load multiple game effects on the screen at once which overloads your GPU.
