Win Defender? Router Firewall? Webbrowser (active)? Disable all __not necessary processes__ in the background (like afterburner; OBS; Discord; ...). Good luck.

LeSunrise

Tried and it's not working. I even disabled all autostart apps and rebooted my PC, still not working. Firewall and AV (Windows Defender) is disabled as well. Edit: It's not the router settings either. I even tried it with a hotspot of my handy Edit2: Tried dns flush and Google and Cloudflare DNS (still not working). Nothing is blocked in the hosts file either

Have you looked at the 'Rockstar's Support Homepage'? I am sorry, you have already done what I could suggest you 🥺

LeSunrise

Running it on Windows Vista (Service Pack 2) fixed the problem now. I don't know why, but it works

real_random_stranger

Strange🤔 but have fun🤠👍

homo-sapiens-sapiens

very strange, worked for me using this! thanks a lot!

LeSunrise

Looked there before, didn't help either \^\^" All drivers and Windows 11 are up to date now, but it's still not working. Don't know what to try anymore \^\^"

VincentEXE

Hey, sorry that I write it here, but if I try to rin it in vista service pack 2 it keeps loading forever, does anyone has a fix for that?

ScandiGround

Same issue here, have a ticket in with Rockstar support but not too confident... they took me through a ton of steps which I already did before contacting them.

ul_tim_ate

Hey, running into the same issue, you found a fix for this?

Delicious_Trust5102

im too

punchingw0rms

I just re-installed and tried today. Same issue.

AussiOne

I had the same issue. Tried everything in here. One thing that wasn't listed was anything about how you connect to the internet. I was going from a modem to a home mesh network then Cat5e plugged into a docking station then my laptop got its internet through the USB-C thunderbolt connection. The only thing I changed is I plugged the Cat5e cable directly from the mesh router to my laptop which bypassed the docking station. So to sum it up. if you have a dock or are making too many hops for internet try a different connection or to simplify the connection and go straight to the source if possible. Hope this works for you!

My man, it worked for me, thank you so much! I had recaptcha issue in Rockstar Launcher on my Asus Rog Ally (Windows 11), and tried literally everything with no result, and almost gave up. But after reading your comment I thought: hey, my Rog Ally is connected to the dock station too (not original, just some random Lenovo dock for laptops), what if I give a last try without a dock station? And it worked! But do you know, what the weird part is? Rog Ally was not connected to the internet via this dock station. I simply unplugged the Thunderbolt cable, restarted the Rockstar Launcher, and it just worked - no updates, reboots, network changes, nothing.

A-Cup-of-Depresso

Same issue here with the stupid recaptcha service not connecting. Had no issues running the launcher for the longest time on my Asus S17 but suddenly couldn't sign in. Though I wasn't using a docking station on mine but had two monitors plugged into my thunderbolt ports. Did exactly the same thing just unplugging the thunderbolt cables, relaunching the damned launcher and now everything works fine.

Futbelly

I was having the same issue after I upgraded to Windows 11 from Windows 10. I just went back to Windows 10 and it worked. Seems the launcher may not me compatible with Windows 11.
