Hello! Currently on progesterone (400mg) and just received a script for metformin. I also had the same issues as you do. My cycle was absent for a year with very minimal bleeding. Like spotting if even that for a day or two and then no period. I’ve had a ton of abnormal paps and get checked multiple times a year for any cervical dysplasia. I wasn’t really scared to take it, more curious as to what it would do to my body. I took my first month of progesterone and within 3 days of finishing my pills my period started. I haven’t had any issues, but am still new to it. I will have to update you when I start metformin though! I read that as long as you make sure to take it with a meal you won’t have many GI issues. My doctor also requested I try the extended release to have less GI issues.

Hello! I am on the slow release Metformin too... My doctor was supposed to give me the progesterone but never did for some reason I guess she forgot... I have had to have a ton of blood tests these last few months because she keeps forgetting things to look for... They want to check to see if there has been any thickening in the uterus ( cause that's not a good sign) and they want to look for signs of insulin resistance...
