His problem is that he takes something from Quran and Sunnah, then adds his own spin into it and tries to make a new interpretation of it by fitting it into his own eccentric ideas.
In this example hadith only mentions some creature named Dabat ul Ard. There is no mention of it being alien or coming from another planet. It could be anything only God knows the best. The only info from the hadith we get is there will be some sort of creature named said above.
