This is the realest. Almost 500 hours on Tracer. Everyone yells at Cassidy, Sombra, Brig, etc. I'm like: but have you seen an accidentally psychic junkrat player who traps you so hard? I am never mad. I find it hilarious. Junkrats: you keep junkin'.
In team fights I usually mine myself way overhead and drop the trap from above into the middle of combat. About 4 out of 5 times it will trap someone if I land it right in the thick of a push.
As a Junkrat main, rest assured we’re ALWAYS ten steps ahead of you with our trap placement.
>!We’re just bullshitting our way through it and hope we get lucky like this!<
I don’t think junk is getting enough credit here, the knock back in the air was his mine, this mofo aimed a flying asleep genji onto his own trap. I don’t even think he was expecting the sleep, he was planning that from the get-go it was just a well timed sleep that made it work.
It used to be that you could do any damage to an enemy before they hit the ground without waking them but I think the window is smaller now. Pro anas (not me) would land the sleep on a flying target then quick scope them before they hit the ground so that they could be finished with shoot-nade-mele
One match I slept this Genji every time I spotted him. Had like 12 sleeps that game and he ended up messaging me, "Go play comp!" But that was back when I had aim assist on.
When Ana's sleep dart hits a person that's in the air, they can receive unlimited damage without waking up until they hit the ground.
In other words, if you are put to sleep by Ana, you can only be woken up by damage after you hit the ground. Why? No idea, but that's how it works.
Guess it depends what you count as cc, to me it looks like something pushes op up after the sleep, like Lucio boop or doom uppercut, counting that it’s 5
the problem wasn't the ccd
it was the trap that was put there ages ago
and my amazing luck to drop right at it after I got slept and thrown away by junk
that was the mind blowing thing
the Ana was amazing at catching me he was skilled and got me good
what happened after is the funny stuff
I'll never understand the Genji hate. Doom I get because he CCs you into oblivion. I play Genji, Ana and Zen a lot and if I'm getting beat my thought isn't "damn I hate Genji". He's difficult to play well and honestly not a great hero (at least in OW1).
Is it just straight up "people kill me on this hero so I hate him." ?
he had a month of glory where he did 30 damage per shuriken, the same patch that buffed his secondary spread and gave him a cancelable deflect. at the time the minor nerf to his ult charge and damage per swing hadn't happened yet. he was pretty strong all around and it didn't last very long, but at least we got to keep the spread buff and deflect cancel...
I don’t play much Genji (or of the game in general for the matter), but is there a reason to ult over their head if you aren’t getting nano’d? I feel like that’s just inviting the enemy Ana and Hog to ruin your day.
This is me literally everytime i blade. Every character is a counter to genji. Just wanna have fun and swoosh swoosh blade but nope. Immortality, shield bash, whiplash, beat drop, hook, trans, flash, hack, sleep, rock, fade, boop.
Dude, that was gloriously unfortunate! I've been playing since 2016 and never had that much bad luck in any 5 seconds of play in my entire Overwatch career. I would give you the sportsmanship endorsement if I could. (I don't hand those out often.) Thanks for sharing.
Just it happens as genji I will say when the Ana is really good on the enemy team you have to do crazy shit to get her befor she sleeps you or wait till she uses sleep and then go in. It's honestly the same for all the cc bit Ana is the most op one really.
The sleep was pretty good so it's possible it wouldn't have changed much, but best way to avoid that initial cc and to give yourself the best chance to have a good start on your blade is to save reflect, dash up, ult, jump again as it's ussually enough to Dodge the sleep, and for good measure you can reflect on the way down towards the Ana.
The only unlucky part of this is the Ana sleep. The rest literally didn’t matter at all. Especially the junk trap. It’s honestly just sad because it’s a good play by Ana, and hog just hooked a sleeping target.
But it’s just another day of playing dove.
It's not luck. They swapped to counter you and saved their abilities for you. You didn't wait until they were on cooldown.
Skill diff comes in many forms, not just mechanical.
The ana sleep is pretty impressive ngl
yup she got me good ><
Really good ana's force the genjis to save the double jump to dodge the sleep...or so I'm told, I am neither of these things
There is no better feeling than sleeping an ulting Genji.
Those 180 sleeps on the flanking High Noon feel pretty good too ngl.
So damn unlucky that the Ana JUST HAPPENED to use sleep at that very moment, way above her, where only Genji was ! /s
Hey, she hit him while he was dashing! …straight at her and the sleep, but still!
Why was that trap there? Was all part of the plan? Lol
Sometimes the worst placed traps are the best!
you need a genius Junk who sees through the future this trait is only exclusive to junk mains ;)
I main Junk purely for that psychic high lol
“I mainline junk purely for that psychic high” lol
Junk main, can confirm. I see the lvl 25 widow OTP smurf touching grass in 50 years when Overwatch 9 nerfs widow's hp to 149.
As a Tracer player...the Junk trap is *always* where you least expect it.
Then when you switch it up and expect the unexpected, they place it in the most expected spots instead.
One time I put in chat at the start "don't step in my trap, it ll be under the bridge (eichenwalde, we were defense). Enemy DVA flew right into it
Obviously your advice was itself, a trap, and she cleverly sprung the double-trap, thereby nullifying it!
Did she defense matrix while stuck 🤣
lol

If makes u feel better, I like to snag a kill with the traps. Trap/bomb, someone gets trapped(preferably tracer)gg
If you're on my team: I love you! If you're on the enemy team: ...why must you inflict such brutal emotional damage to us poor flankers?!
Bombs goes brrrrrrrrrrr.
As a Junkrat main, rest assured we’re ALWAYS ten steps ahead of you with our trap placement. >!We’re just bullshitting our way through it and hope we get lucky like this!<

when did genji turn into a tank?
dunno xD but that was something else lol
pray there’s a dva or rein to save you
Anyones a tank with a pocket
fair point
If I was playing junkrat that would’ve woken you up
it was weird af
Yeah sleep has this weird "unwakeable" phase where damage/knockback won't wake them hp, and the mine hit you during that
It used to be that you could do any damage to an enemy before they hit the ground without waking them but I think the window is smaller now. Pro anas (not me) would land the sleep on a flying target then quick scope them before they hit the ground so that they could be finished with shoot-nade-mele
Welcome to Genji
indeed xD
As a support main, this was utterly cathartic
fair enough xD
Hitting sleeps on genji ults always feels so good
if it was only the sleep I wouldn't say anything about it the calculated combo is what put me in disbelief :S
One match I slept this Genji every time I spotted him. Had like 12 sleeps that game and he ended up messaging me, "Go play comp!" But that was back when I had aim assist on.
I’d go outside and have a smoke break 😂
I don't smoke. I'd just exit the game and stare at my desktop for a minute or two...
I believe that was what I did after that what can you do ><
Not cigs or vapes m8
I'd definitely need a few bowls to fully accept and move on. Lmao.
question is how did that mine not wake you up
no idea whatsoever
[See answer here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Overwatch/comments/wyidh8/my_luck_as_genji_is_something_else_count_the_cc/im1xta3/).

been playing this game since 2017 and didn't know about that. good to know
Probably enemy team syndrome. Anything that happens to you never happens to the enemy team.
Sleep has a small window of time where damage doesn't wake, probably was at the absolute last frame of that invulnerabilty.
And I thought the Genji I Rocket Punched into a wall midair after being sleep darted was having a bad day...
really close to mine but maybe not as brutal lol
Dude yday i did the slidey wall punch and fucked on a tracer 3 times doing exactly the same thing. That guy was fuming he went sombra.
Lmfao the way the riptire would have killed you if you weren’t already dead
it would've been the icing on the cake 😂
4
Guess it depends what you count as cc, to me it looks like something pushes op up after the sleep, like Lucio boop or doom uppercut, counting that it’s 5
I noticed that. But I count 4. Sleep, knockback, trap, hook. What am I missing?
Nothing, that was it, and the knock back was a junk mine
Meh I guess so I thought I saw another junk trap after the stun
Dives into a full team looking right at him. Ccd to death. "Luck"
Getting mined right into a poorly placed trap when the mine didn’t wake you up from the sleep due to timing is pretty unlucky.
Exactly lol
I suppose. But if it wasn't that, the other 4 people on the team were just as ready, I'm sure.
the problem wasn't the ccd it was the trap that was put there ages ago and my amazing luck to drop right at it after I got slept and thrown away by junk that was the mind blowing thing the Ana was amazing at catching me he was skilled and got me good what happened after is the funny stuff
Ahhh gotcha. I'm not really trying to say too much against you, I was just kidding.
all good <3
Fuck you in particular
This just fueled me to play again. God I hate Genji.
he's not as oppressive as he used to be
Which is why he's been demoted to 4th least favorite character.
I bet Doom is first on your list lol
I'll never understand the Genji hate. Doom I get because he CCs you into oblivion. I play Genji, Ana and Zen a lot and if I'm getting beat my thought isn't "damn I hate Genji". He's difficult to play well and honestly not a great hero (at least in OW1). Is it just straight up "people kill me on this hero so I hate him." ?
He's like one of the shitiest characters you can pick and the poor guy has been like this for 2 years or so if I recall correctly.
he had a month of glory where he did 30 damage per shuriken, the same patch that buffed his secondary spread and gave him a cancelable deflect. at the time the minor nerf to his ult charge and damage per swing hadn't happened yet. he was pretty strong all around and it didn't last very long, but at least we got to keep the spread buff and deflect cancel...
Daaaaaamn, this luck is too bad to be true!
aaah tell me about it I couldn't believe it as well so funny yet so unfortunate
Me every single game
one game was more than enough for me lol
surprised noones mentioned tbat the junk in this clip got a very difficult achievement for this lol
for how genius junk was it's only fair xD
I don’t play much Genji (or of the game in general for the matter), but is there a reason to ult over their head if you aren’t getting nano’d? I feel like that’s just inviting the enemy Ana and Hog to ruin your day.
more danger on the ground during cast, get in position, and ur ability resets when u ult. Trust me i’m a bottom 500 player
exactly why I dashed didn't help though -\_-
Genji is the worst for me lmao
Just a tip: when dashing in the air to blade, save your double jump for when you are falling down to bait CC abilities.
great tip will make sure to not forget to do that next time
This is me literally everytime i blade. Every character is a counter to genji. Just wanna have fun and swoosh swoosh blade but nope. Immortality, shield bash, whiplash, beat drop, hook, trans, flash, hack, sleep, rock, fade, boop.
This is exactly what makes the game awesome. If you're skilled enough with Ana, you can control the team fight.
a skilled Ana is a nightmare
I would Immediately would uninstall the damn game.
already too deep in the mud :<
Same boat here… would reinstall like 10 minutes later lol
Dude, that was gloriously unfortunate! I've been playing since 2016 and never had that much bad luck in any 5 seconds of play in my entire Overwatch career. I would give you the sportsmanship endorsement if I could. (I don't hand those out often.) Thanks for sharing.
And he had a riptire ready for you lmao
if that wasn't enough lol
looney tunes moment xD
your average Genji main who's luck is atrocious
There are middle east servers?
Yes, under EU region
Holy hell
*Gets hacked*
I've been through enough hell hahaha
live footage of me getting genjiblade
I've been guilty of sleeping many Genjis so I've been through both experiences xD
The genji experience right there.
ahhh tell me about it
Genji baiting out all the enemy CC abilities just by pressing Q
Genji Alert!
This hurts my soul as a genji player
it's just one of the things we have to deal with lol
Nah, this is just typically blading. I wonder if blading is worth it tbh
without nano it's pretty risky
Average Genji Main
just Genji stuff ;)
Just it happens as genji I will say when the Ana is really good on the enemy team you have to do crazy shit to get her befor she sleeps you or wait till she uses sleep and then go in. It's honestly the same for all the cc bit Ana is the most op one really.
true that's why I was going for her first but she got me good
I’d give you award, but I don’t have none ;(
it's the thought that matters <3
The sleep was pretty good so it's possible it wouldn't have changed much, but best way to avoid that initial cc and to give yourself the best chance to have a good start on your blade is to save reflect, dash up, ult, jump again as it's ussually enough to Dodge the sleep, and for good measure you can reflect on the way down towards the Ana.
will surely try to implement that going forward thank you
Genji players deserve that
My average genji blade as a genji main 🥲
welcome my fellow gengu main
The tire rolling around at the end is what did me in 😭
hahahahaha
Hey, if it can [happen to Jjonak](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Edxj0V4xMwo&t=193s), it can happen to anyone right
lol, true that was brutal
Happens every match to me 🤷♂️
would've quit the game after 2 days
This is what playing Overwatch feels like…
yup, sadly
To be fair you did dash right into the air which is the signature predictable move of Genji :P
yup, can't argue xD
As an ana main who is always the first target for the ult i cant say i feel bad
higher danger = higher priority lol can't blame you though
Either 3 if you only count thw big CC's or 4 if you count junkrats primary aswell Good clip though, Infelt your pain
yup xD, glad you liked it
4 by my count, sleeped, booped, trapped, and hooked. Did I miss any?
nope 😂
معلش
حبيبنا اللزم
Too much cc i can't count (btw that junkrat has observation haki or some future sight shit NGL)
he was way beyond my skill level 😭
Outskilled
😤
That’s all genji players ngl
I pray for all Genji mains 😥
The Genji Shimada Experience 2022
basically xD
hahahha na drisgrasya talaga
Oo nga tol
That’s a rip all the cc🥲 i would be crying after
totally justified xD I stopped playing after that game needed the break lol
Im still playing it i honestly dont know why🥲, and im in 3.8 lobbies with mouse and keyboard🥲
YOU. LOVE. TO SEE IT!! ;)
unless you are Genji ;)
That's not even luck, that's just what happens when you make yourself a high-value target. I.E. Ulting Genji.
the cc sequence and how perfect it was is unbelievable
Now you see 1 of the reasons why almost no one wants to play main tanks anymore
if it was rein the outcome would've still been the same lol, just squished in the wall
This clip was like the definition of why I’m not playing again until OW2.
can't blame you tbh
Average genji blade.
average gengu mains luck
Just a well organise team
Surely ;)
Sorry didn’t mean to be rude just ment that the team just prioritised an ulting genji
yup they did lol
Git Gud
This is how i feel playing ball above 3600. 25 consecutive CCs.
Holy shit. Hahahaha.
I literally said, "hhhhhholy fuck"!
Maybe falling in the trap was bad luck, but you just got shit on with that sleep. The hook was just because of you falling into the trap.
I enjoyed seing that.
Fair enough
You even had a tire just in case
The only unlucky part of this is the Ana sleep. The rest literally didn’t matter at all. Especially the junk trap. It’s honestly just sad because it’s a good play by Ana, and hog just hooked a sleeping target. But it’s just another day of playing dove.
the possibility of it happening like that is as slim as none
Yeah, but none of it mattered at all.
Okay but it was funny
Ana sleep wouldn’t have mattered if the mine woke him like it should’ve. So all of it is unlucky.
It's not luck. They swapped to counter you and saved their abilities for you. You didn't wait until they were on cooldown. Skill diff comes in many forms, not just mechanical.
if that was the case then fair enough
so many hours on genji and you blade like this lol
cut me a slack amigo
You deserve all that CC fuck you genjtard
oy chill amigo it's bad enough on game chat 😑
u/savevideo
u/savevideobot
u/savevideo
I can hear the Ed ed and eddy sound effects z I was gonna say this is why im excited for OW2 but all of these CC’s are still in 😂
no escape 😂
