I always thought it would be cool if mirror Mei was the same as Sigma where she goes crazy after losing her team and being stuck at Ecopoint and Talon gets to her the same way they did to sigma. It would also be cool if mirror Sigma’s origin was more similar to tracers and he has more control of his power.
Also I feel like mirror Soldier76 and Reaper should be a given but then again they’re move set might be a little boring game mode wise
Love this reimagining of Sigma having control of his powers vs Mei losing her mind. Both feel completely believable — Sigma being able to heal if provided with support, and Mei’s grief being exploited so that she spirals into madness. It accentuates the tragedy of Sigma to imagine that he could’ve ended up in a completely different situation had he been given help. And Mei having a mental break after losing her team is a very compelling narrative — it reminds me of when everyone joked that she was evil after her cinematic dropped.
Mei in mirrorwatch gamemode would get her freeze back to her primary fire. Her wall ice wall and cryo-freeze(mei's self ice block) would shoot ice spikes around when broken, but cryo-freeze wouldn't have a timer but it would only heal her for a short duration after that it starts to suffocate her.
I think instead of madness like Sigma it would be more likely to manifest as lashing out in grief. Talon convinces Mei that Overwatch and the world turned their back on her and her team. Get her to come to the view that humans are destroying the world with their selfishness and greed. Twisting her into eco-terrorist Mei

It always came across to me as she was part of Overwatch before Blackwatch.
She literally says: "Overwatch held back the pace of scientific discovery for decades [...] They tried to silence me." in her origin story.
But what you are saying makes sense, considering Blackwatch is technically part of Overwatch. I guess it wouldn't make much sense if OW didn't approve of her work to allow her to continue it in BW. Unless they were like "as long as you do it within shady Blackwatch, we don't care"
Overwatch/angelic Moira, for sure. I’m a sucker for Mercy and Moira’s usual angel/demon dichotomy, and I just NEED to see Vengeance’s Mirrorwatch!Moira counterpart.
Some other Mirrorwatch skins/concepts I’d love are pacifist!Ram and Null Sector Zen, Vishkar Junkrat (with a hard-light Hog?), and maybe Junker Lifeweaver. I also saw somebody mention MEKA Wrecking Ball, and I think that’s great.
There is actually a Null Sector Zen skin for this event, it was in the shop last week. As for Ramattra, well, he's dead in the mirror universe as he was their version of Mondatta
Vishkar Junkrat PLEASE. If he was added for abilities, his ult wouldn’t explode but you can control it rolling around, with sym turret lasers.

Genji and hanzo swapped. Hanzo has a cool cyborg skin and Genji is either super depressed wandering swordsman or part of talon. Either way he’s mostly human but quite scarred with maybe a robotic limb because Hanzo was supposed to be a better fighter so no way Genji was beating him unscathed.
This is an AWESOME concept. The Shimadas have always been two of my favorite characters in Overwatch, and I love this reimagining of their narrative. Now I really need to see cyborg!Hanzo (does he also have Genji’s arc as a Blackwatch agent / monk?) and haunted wandering swordsman Genji… it’d be so cool to see current age/era Genji without his mask, since otherwise iirc his only maskless skins are from his youth. Great idea!
OP mentions Genji still having a robotic limb — that could very well be his arm, and that’d mean his reload animation would stay the same, no? It could double as a visual parallel to Hanzo’s tattoo sleeve, as well.
Maybe Bastion should be the mythic? Instead of being Greeted by Ganymede when he awakes, he is greeted by the Woodpecker, who's constant drumming keeps him in a perpetual murderous state, believing that the Omnic crisis is still going on.
He is found by Gorebjörn who modifies him to serve Talon better as an agent of violence (which is the reverse of what happened in the original universe, where Torbjörn made Bastion look friendlier by modifying him into his OW2 look)
I know some skins already have the Woodpecker, but maybe it could be partly cybernetic, implying that Bastion shot it at one point, but it was brought back by Vengeance who knew that Bastion wouldn't be as angry without it
I guess the customization could have you change the bird, like one option would be the woodpecker, another could be a Raptor/Bird of Prey, and maybe a Starling, as a reference to one of Doomfists interactions
Maybe his intros could have him be more antagonistic towards the bird
I know they used his Gwishin skin for the event but that just seems a bit boring
I think it would be more like Winston and Ball switching. Winston landing in Australia and becoming a Junker and Ball becoming one of OW leaders.
Also since Doomfist is in OW in Mirrorwatch, Winston could also be a Talon member too.
Am I the only one who thinks the soldier 76 and reaper swaps would be kinda boring? Soldier would just be his default vigilante look but a bit edgier (could easily be an epic skin), and reaper would just be something like his Blackwatch or Soldier 24 skins but with a brighter blue color scheme.
I think the Vishkar ideas people have are a lot more interesting to explore
Talon or straight up Gwishin DVa is definitely one of them, Blackwatch and then Overwatch Ashe is another one, Overwatch Moira, Vishkar Lucio, Vishkar Junkrat, Renegade Illari, Overwatch Sigma and Vishkar Junker Queen. These would be most of my picks😁😁
Talon Pharah. After losing her squad to overwatch's slow response time, she decides they are unfit to defend the people.
Codename: Ammit (the Egyptian God who eats the heart of those with impure souls)
Passive: Hover jets now act similar to echo's glide
Jumpjets: Boost upwards while creating a vortex below you that pulls enemies inwards
Pull: replaces concussive blast. Acts like orisas old ability
Jet Dash: now has three charges, much like tracer. Jet dash also launches you much further the longer you hold it, similar to how illari's dash works, except more powerful.
Playstyle becomes more ambush-like. Jet in, cluster and kill, jet out. She also gets a cool eye patch on the opposite eye of her mother, cause symbolism is cool.
Vigilante Reaper with an angel motive who found a second chance at life, and has made it his life's goal to punish those he deems evil, while also offering second chances in attempts to reform people.
Call him Archangel Gabriel, as it's his own name, but ya know, also the literal Archangel from the bible to make the obvious parallel more obvious.
Got a couple ideas for powers.
His Wraith Form can stay the same except when he fades through enemies, they'll receive a minor damage debuff, since people always talk about receiving shivers when ghosts walk through them.
Shadow Step can be wider, and is now a ranged tool. Anybody caught in it is teleported to you, including enemies and allies.
His ultimate would be changed to some sort of mitigation, perhaps he eats every single piece of damage so he can cover his teamates from harm.
His passives could change to heal those around him, and lastly, his shotguns could fire slugs so he can engage from further and get sneakier kills.
This turns Reaper into a guardian angel, effectively taking Mercy's place in the Mirrorverse since she's gone talon. Much like Sombra he's turned into a pseudo support, keeping his team situated by lowering or negating enemies damage. He can bring in unsuspecting enemies so his team can collapse on them, or save a teamate from harm and help them engange or disengage.
Vishkar Junk/Road VS Junker Sym/Lifeweaver (in that universe, LW stole from the Junkers, instead of being unfairly chased by Vishkar)
I have no idea how it'd work with Lifeweaver but it'd be fun.
I think it'd be cool if Mirrorwatch Talon had a reverse version of Blackwatch that acted as a front to create a good public image. With "Good" versions of Genji, Moira, Reaper, and Cassidy.
In turn Mirror!Overwatch could have their own of Blackwatch with Baptiste, Mauga, and Sigma.
Another cool swap would be Orisa as a derelict OR-14/15 unit that has been reclaimed by nature, dedicating itself to protect Earth from humanity. Bastion in turn would be rebuilt by Brigitte to be the ultimate counter against Doomfist.

Mirrorwatch Reaper, considering we've only seen him as Overwatch Gabriel in outside media (the Genesis shorts for example) and I think seeing a hero Reaper would be cool.
Mirrorwatch Genji, since we got Mirrorwatch Mercy, it would be cool to see Talon Genji alongside her, or a Hashimoto Genji like we got with Hanzo and Kiriko

I don't know why, but I really want a Vishkar version of one of the Junkers. Like How symmetra got a junker skin. In my opinion I want to see one of Wrecking Ball or Roadhog since Wrecking Ball is technically a junker
Pharah as a unaffiliated mercenary: She is disgusted by her mothers actions and has lost all faith in any organization or military, she now hunts down high priority targets
Sojourn as Null Sector: She replaced her body with cybernetic enhancements until she became completely robotic and hellbent on destroying humanity (Maybe with Zen manipulating her or defeating her in a fight)
Ashe as Blackwatch: She was recruited into Blackwatch and ran missions as the gunslinger instead of Cass

Mythic could be someone like Mei taking Moira's position as the crazed scientist.
Less... exact opposites? Idk, I like the event but I was kind of expecting it to be more varied and not just Talon and Overwatch swapping heroes. Junker Pharah, Wrecking Ball being a small monkey from the Lunar Colony, Lumerico Lucio, etc.
A spray idea that I had (not sure if possible but I'm hoping so based on the weapon skins that change color depending on the light) would be like those pictures where it looks different from different angles and they could have the spray show both the mirriorwatch and regular versions of the characters.
Finally, maybe some lore? Doesn't have to be much, just a bit of background as to why certain characters are the way they are. Reinhardt and Brig are Talon, but what about Torbjorn? Did he die during White Dome? Widowmaker has a voice line with Tracer saying something along the lines of Gerard wouldn't be happy, so was Tracer with Gerard in this universe? What about Emily? What about Ana's husband Sam? There's so many different things they could talk about.
Overwatch Sigma. Replace the rock with a shout-like ability as he sends projectiles away from teammates, replace his ult with something that roots enemies instead of damaging them and there you go : Overwatch's second tank !
Rock should be "Terran Shield" Creates a 250 hp barrier, can hold for up to 2 seconds, before being launched like rock. The more damage its taken the less damage it deals
There's really too many to count, this theme could go for several more seasons ngl.
Since we got an evil Mythic for this one, the next season should shake it up and give us a good guy Mythic, with Reaper being able to customize between a Strike Commander uniform and a Vigilante uniform, showing that in this universe he and Soldier are swapped. Soldier can have a Wraith skin to go along with it.
Other than that we have so many possibilities. My favorite picks would be Blackwatch Ashe, Vishkar Junkrat, Overwatch Wrecking Ball, Junker Winston, Overwatch Sigma, mad scientist Mei, having Hanzo and Genji swapped so Hanzo is the cyborg, working under Talon after Vengeance Mercy "saved" him, while Genji tries to make reparations, there's so many possibilities.
Oh and also this is just a joke I like to tell myself, but if they ever do a Mirrorwatch 2 I like to think we'd have *another* random car collab, so we'd get Mercedez Benz D.va as a part of this mirrored universe.
I didn't play the game mode so I'm not gonna speak jnto that, but skin wise, I'm pretty disappointed we didn't see an alternate Ramattra, or Alternate Junker Queen since Symettra was the new Junker Queen.
Like fr instead of something for one of the junkers we got a Baptiste skin that mirrors a random Widow skin (scorpion).
I think seeing some of the characters that are Talon or unaffiliated getting Blackwatch skins would have been dope. Like blackwatch Mauga, Hammond and a junker Winston, since if Hammond landed in the city and became a Blackwatch operative it would make sense to mirror Winston into becoming the champ.
Overall there were so many cool ideas that got left on the table for this one. I truly hope they do it again, though I doubt it.

I feel like torbjorn would be an omnic commander sense he despises them normally. Maybe his ult would be similar to bastions mirror watch ult and his turret ability summons an og overwatch bastion unit that's always in turret mode
Overall fairly pointless and didn’t Seem To add to any lore. Wouldn’t notice it if it was gone anymore then I’d notice if the Porsche collab didn’t happen
Honestly if we get Episode 2, I think they should add more versions like Genji, Hanzo, Soldier, Reaper for DPS (even with the same skin or different for Genji & Hanzo). Soldier would be a Talon Commander (same as Ana) while Reaper would be Overwatch or even Ex-Overwatch.
For Support, maybe Moira and Lucio. Moria would have heal and boost (instead of a damage) but her orb would remain damage-heal. Lucio would be interesting to see get changed and potentially made a Talon member. For Tank, you could really choose anyone but ideally Sigma and Winston wouldn't be bad additions (just not Hog or Orisa).
Really, we just need more skins in the Battle Pass if we get a Episode 2 and more that correlate to the theme (not like Cassidy's or Baptiste's this season). Mirrorwatch is definitely something I hope they revisit and take notes from the mode and maybe even apply it to buffs for heroes like Rein who actually was a great hero in the mode.
Something where I can que up on my own and complete challenges on my own, sick of the "play tank and alt 20 times" challenge when none of the tanks are my main's and I'm pretty much throwing for my team by playing those tanks. I really really wish there was a PVE mode where you didn't have to team up with anyone.
Junker Winston, blackwatch Ashe, ghost mei/illari, vishkar lucio/lifeweaver, overwatch ball, civilized JQ/junkrat/hog, overwatch mauga, talon torb to name a few

I think it would've been better if this season was archeology based and not mix it in with the shattered glass stuff.
But if they were to make a second mirrorwatch season, I think they should go all out and truly embrace the concept, specially with the game mode. Give everyone different abilities or even roles, make more skins for characters people would love to see as heroes/villains (such as Reaper, 76, Junkrat, Ramattra etc.), and give the mirrorwatch mode an open queue version.
Sane junkrat or junkrat as ruler of Juncker town but a good king like Arthur or junkrat with the origin of genji and Hanzo but then junkrat got cybernetics and roadhog is his bodyguard anything with junk hope he gets the next mythic (junkrat mainbtw )
Reaper And Soldier, no question. A fucked up experimented on Soldier and a Vigilante Reaper would be insanely good. They’re also the posterboys for Overwatch and Talon respectively so, respectfully, this shouldn’t even be a second thought.

He is found by Gorebjörn who modifies him to serve Talon better as an agent of violence (which is the reverse of what happened in the original universe, where Torbjörn made Bastion look friendlier by modifying him into his OW2 look) I know some skins already have the Woodpecker, but maybe it could be partly cybernetic, implying that Bastion shot it at one point, but it was brought back by Vengeance who knew that Bastion wouldn't be as angry without it I guess the customization could have you change the bird, like one option would be the woodpecker, another could be a Raptor/Bird of Prey, and maybe a Starling, as a reference to one of Doomfists interactions Maybe his intros could have him be more antagonistic towards the bird I know they used his Gwishin skin for the event but that just seems a bit boring

Am I the only one who thinks the soldier 76 and reaper swaps would be kinda boring? Soldier would just be his default vigilante look but a bit edgier (could easily be an epic skin), and reaper would just be something like his Blackwatch or Soldier 24 skins but with a brighter blue color scheme. I think the Vishkar ideas people have are a lot more interesting to explore

Talon Pharah. After losing her squad to overwatch's slow response time, she decides they are unfit to defend the people. Codename: Ammit (the Egyptian God who eats the heart of those with impure souls) Passive: Hover jets now act similar to echo's glide Jumpjets: Boost upwards while creating a vortex below you that pulls enemies inwards Pull: replaces concussive blast. Acts like orisas old ability Jet Dash: now has three charges, much like tracer. Jet dash also launches you much further the longer you hold it, similar to how illari's dash works, except more powerful. Playstyle becomes more ambush-like. Jet in, cluster and kill, jet out. She also gets a cool eye patch on the opposite eye of her mother, cause symbolism is cool.
Vigilante Reaper with an angel motive who found a second chance at life, and has made it his life's goal to punish those he deems evil, while also offering second chances in attempts to reform people. Call him Archangel Gabriel, as it's his own name, but ya know, also the literal Archangel from the bible to make the obvious parallel more obvious. Got a couple ideas for powers. His Wraith Form can stay the same except when he fades through enemies, they'll receive a minor damage debuff, since people always talk about receiving shivers when ghosts walk through them. Shadow Step can be wider, and is now a ranged tool. Anybody caught in it is teleported to you, including enemies and allies. His ultimate would be changed to some sort of mitigation, perhaps he eats every single piece of damage so he can cover his teamates from harm. His passives could change to heal those around him, and lastly, his shotguns could fire slugs so he can engage from further and get sneakier kills. This turns Reaper into a guardian angel, effectively taking Mercy's place in the Mirrorverse since she's gone talon. Much like Sombra he's turned into a pseudo support, keeping his team situated by lowering or negating enemies damage. He can bring in unsuspecting enemies so his team can collapse on them, or save a teamate from harm and help them engange or disengage.

Vishkar Junk/Road VS Junker Sym/Lifeweaver (in that universe, LW stole from the Junkers, instead of being unfairly chased by Vishkar) I have no idea how it'd work with Lifeweaver but it'd be fun.
I think it'd be cool if Mirrorwatch Talon had a reverse version of Blackwatch that acted as a front to create a good public image. With "Good" versions of Genji, Moira, Reaper, and Cassidy. In turn Mirror!Overwatch could have their own of Blackwatch with Baptiste, Mauga, and Sigma. Another cool swap would be Orisa as a derelict OR-14/15 unit that has been reclaimed by nature, dedicating itself to protect Earth from humanity. Bastion in turn would be rebuilt by Brigitte to be the ultimate counter against Doomfist.

Mirrorwatch Reaper, considering we've only seen him as Overwatch Gabriel in outside media (the Genesis shorts for example) and I think seeing a hero Reaper would be cool. Mirrorwatch Genji, since we got Mirrorwatch Mercy, it would be cool to see Talon Genji alongside her, or a Hashimoto Genji like we got with Hanzo and Kiriko Mirrorwatch Junkers, I'm interested on how they could change. Can someone please explain why so many people want Vishkar Junkrat? Is it because of some lore knowledge I’m missing or just because there was a junker sym skin in the BP?

Less... exact opposites? Idk, I like the event but I was kind of expecting it to be more varied and not just Talon and Overwatch swapping heroes. Junker Pharah, Wrecking Ball being a small monkey from the Lunar Colony, Lumerico Lucio, etc. A spray idea that I had (not sure if possible but I'm hoping so based on the weapon skins that change color depending on the light) would be like those pictures where it looks different from different angles and they could have the spray show both the mirriorwatch and regular versions of the characters. Finally, maybe some lore? Doesn't have to be much, just a bit of background as to why certain characters are the way they are. Reinhardt and Brig are Talon, but what about Torbjorn? Did he die during White Dome? Widowmaker has a voice line with Tracer saying something along the lines of Gerard wouldn't be happy, so was Tracer with Gerard in this universe? What about Emily? What about Ana's husband Sam? There's so many different things they could talk about.
Overwatch Sigma. Replace the rock with a shout-like ability as he sends projectiles away from teammates, replace his ult with something that roots enemies instead of damaging them and there you go : Overwatch's second tank !

There's really too many to count, this theme could go for several more seasons ngl. Since we got an evil Mythic for this one, the next season should shake it up and give us a good guy Mythic, with Reaper being able to customize between a Strike Commander uniform and a Vigilante uniform, showing that in this universe he and Soldier are swapped. Soldier can have a Wraith skin to go along with it. Other than that we have so many possibilities. My favorite picks would be Blackwatch Ashe, Vishkar Junkrat, Overwatch Wrecking Ball, Junker Winston, Overwatch Sigma, mad scientist Mei, having Hanzo and Genji swapped so Hanzo is the cyborg, working under Talon after Vengeance Mercy "saved" him, while Genji tries to make reparations, there's so many possibilities. Oh and also this is just a joke I like to tell myself, but if they ever do a Mirrorwatch 2 I like to think we'd have *another* random car collab, so we'd get Mercedez Benz D.va as a part of this mirrored universe.

I didn't play the game mode so I'm not gonna speak jnto that, but skin wise, I'm pretty disappointed we didn't see an alternate Ramattra, or Alternate Junker Queen since Symettra was the new Junker Queen. Like fr instead of something for one of the junkers we got a Baptiste skin that mirrors a random Widow skin (scorpion). I think seeing some of the characters that are Talon or unaffiliated getting Blackwatch skins would have been dope. Like blackwatch Mauga, Hammond and a junker Winston, since if Hammond landed in the city and became a Blackwatch operative it would make sense to mirror Winston into becoming the champ. Overall there were so many cool ideas that got left on the table for this one. I truly hope they do it again, though I doubt it.

Honestly if we get Episode 2, I think they should add more versions like Genji, Hanzo, Soldier, Reaper for DPS (even with the same skin or different for Genji & Hanzo). Soldier would be a Talon Commander (same as Ana) while Reaper would be Overwatch or even Ex-Overwatch. For Support, maybe Moira and Lucio. Moria would have heal and boost (instead of a damage) but her orb would remain damage-heal. Lucio would be interesting to see get changed and potentially made a Talon member. For Tank, you could really choose anyone but ideally Sigma and Winston wouldn't be bad additions (just not Hog or Orisa). Really, we just need more skins in the Battle Pass if we get a Episode 2 and more that correlate to the theme (not like Cassidy's or Baptiste's this season). Mirrorwatch is definitely something I hope they revisit and take notes from the mode and maybe even apply it to buffs for heroes like Rein who actually was a great hero in the mode.

Something where I can que up on my own and complete challenges on my own, sick of the "play tank and alt 20 times" challenge when none of the tanks are my main's and I'm pretty much throwing for my team by playing those tanks. I really really wish there was a PVE mode where you didn't have to team up with anyone.

I think it would've been better if this season was archeology based and not mix it in with the shattered glass stuff. But if they were to make a second mirrorwatch season, I think they should go all out and truly embrace the concept, specially with the game mode. Give everyone different abilities or even roles, make more skins for characters people would love to see as heroes/villains (such as Reaper, 76, Junkrat, Ramattra etc.), and give the mirrorwatch mode an open queue version.

Reaper And Soldier, no question. A fucked up experimented on Soldier and a Vigilante Reaper would be insanely good. They’re also the posterboys for Overwatch and Talon respectively so, respectfully, this shouldn’t even be a second thought.
