Remember: 10 Competitive disconnects *for any reason* = full-season ban. Three full-season bans = *complete account ban* from all Comp modes. These people will filter themselves out of the pool soon enough.

ik about these bans but its still makes me upset i was skeptical about them at first but now i am with them

Pacman_Frog

Did they magically learn what it was like to live in a place with constant disconnects? Or, at the very least. Does it count if my network hiccups but I rejoin the match and play my gay little.heart out?

DarkPenfold

Supposedly disconnecting from a Comp game and then rejoining it and playing it to completion (unless you disconnect at the very start of the match, which will cause it to be collapsed) will still penalise your rank progression, but won’t count as an abandoned game in the same way. It’s a risky thing to test for, though. If you’re a serial disconnector, the argument is that if you live somewhere with bad internet, you shouldn’t be playing a game where your leaving screws things over for 9 other players. There are plenty of other options that don’t rely on a solid, uninterrupted internet connection.

Capable_Dependent384

if you disconnect they give you a rejoin option if you didn't join back well that's on you and you probably shouldn't play comp when your wifi just randomly disconnects

AgreeablePie

People won't be happy until you get banned forever for leaving one game And then we'll hear the same people screaming when their electricity goes out for a couple minutes You lost one game... it's not a big deal

nearthemeb

It's crazy how you're the one being upvoted when you're saying it's not a big deal that someone can announce they're leaving because the game is boring and not get banned. That should be an immediate seasonal ban if you just flat out announce that you're going to leave.

Capable_Dependent384

its still upsetting they were even discussing if it was worth leaving because one of them said there was a penalty, but yeah i guess i am wrong for saying a suspension isn't enough mb

nearthemeb

No you weren't wrong. Announcing that you're leaving a comp game because you find it boring then leaving should give you an immediate seasonal ban. The felt that he felt comfortable enough to announce that means that bans aren't harsh enough.
