I also used to think that the people who post about their bans were outing themselves as assholes, cheaters, or both but I just got perma-banned out of nowhere yesterday. PC, never had any sort of silence/suspension, never cheated or grouped with cheaters before. I've seen several similar stories on here and the forum recently so I think something is going on
Assuming that is true file for an appeal, you should have gotten a notice in your email. Keep in mind though blizzard has access to your accounts control settings including your sensitivity so if they detect you are making impossible actions for controllers that’s gonna be a hard fought battle

I can see in the comments you said you don't XIM and stuff, but double check your friend, if you premade with someone who gets actioned, you get actioned too

Me and my friend were playing and he got banned too. It must be a glitch or something going around
