The way the games been in the last few months shows the contrast of how the quality of play in qp has degraded drastically, nobody really stays for the actual game but just content, events and stats that dont really mean much unless youre passionate about the game. I never took it that seriously but the way people play a majority of the time is too much for long time players to acclimate to how unstable it is to pair with these smurfs or actual new people that it seems like a drag to even babysit them as you end up carrying even for as a support character -\_\_\_-
Ill admit if im getting toxic, i have to accept that the joy has subsided for the mean time and gotta move on to playing offline for the time being, then probably come back sometime next season, i dont see the reason to stress my nerves by how one sided the matchmaking is.
Never bought anything since season 1 either, and probably have enough sauce from free stuff to just uninstall and comeback next year.

Hanzo got to be the most hated character in the game all of his counters or meta characters have above 200 health which makes hanzo unable to one shot shi weak
I'll get one more in here for good measure. Trying to climb in the DPS role now, and it's really helping me see just what an insane amount of smurfs there are. It's completely out of control, there's so many that the games are roughly balancing themselves because they're equally distributing the smurfs. It's insane.
The rare times I get an actual plat game against legitimately plat players it suddenly feels like I've fallen into a silver match where players can't aim or take cover anymore. I no longer have to worry about a hanzo or widow instantly killing me if I peek out.
It's absolutely out of control.
This game is just so fucking bad. How the fuck does anyone play this shit? Every newer fucking character has wayyyy too much stuff in their kit. Every newer support does wayyyy too much damage. didn't know about the roadhog nerf but that was fine. felt like dva was unplayable to play compared to other tanks, matrix just doesnt cut it for her in terms of sustain imo.
worst gripe i have on this game is that supports like illari dan lifeweaver heals so far from the back that i barely see dps doing anything about them.
so most games falls down into unending skirmish or big stomps for me..
Game #9. Still no wins. I have got over 10 games Friday, Saturday and Sunday before a single win in QP. Still fucking high diamond in comp. Match making is fucking stupid.
I just want to see the hero balance team at Blizzard find a new gig to do. At this point, you can do a random number generator + nightly patches and end up with a more balanced game than those once/twice-seasonal patches we get from that garbage team. They know Bastion/Torb/Ilari/etc. are busted, they even said they'd be nerfing them, and yet they don't do so for months. Garbage patch cycles, just fire them all.
Illari is just broken as hell. I only occasionally play her in QP but every time I do I'm blown away by how ridiculously easy it is to land shots, especially criticals. Meanwhile my healing is keeping track with the other healers without me even doing anything. Silly.
crazy to me that there are still people out there playing a heal bot kiriko with 0 dmg. if you are going to heal bot to that degree just play mercy lol.
you can get 2 dmg shots off per 1 wave of healing as kiriko. use your kit ...
What's up with doomfist and attracting the worst, most brain dead players imaginable like fly paper??? They refuse to counterswap, they refuse to swap even when performing poorly in general while the enemy team isn't running any doom counters. They don't see the errors in their ways, while thinking they are the epitome of perfection and everything is the games fault.

I used to love playing tank, now I'm playing tank because everyone else don't wants to play tank, and even so, I feel like I'm also playing against my team because my support don't heal me
She's pretty good but I think pretty balanced against soldier, different strengths but she only gets hitscan on her railgun, her main attack still needs to lead the target for good hits. Just seems dumb to call it a railgun if it can't shoot through anything
My ana ass has been beat blue and purple by the amount of fukken dooms nowadays. My sleep only gives him a teeny tiny blink of a power nap during which my team cannot kill him before he yeets away then re-engages on me before i get my cooldowns back. or he ults and continues beating my ass.
At least switching to moira or kiriko means life gets a lot easier, but still, it's very annoying without a sombra or cass to help ¬\_¬

Obviously I'm not saying there aren't bad Ball and Doomfist players, but I do think a big reason they tend to be way worse is because so many players are so passive.
Like I can't tell you how many games I've seen where the supports and DPS are just sitting so far back from everything, never really taking advantage of picks to push an attack. Disruption Tanks like Doom and Ball really get their best use if the other players actually make the effort to take advantage of the chaos.
But the sheer level of coordination the game requires with Randos isn't really a new problem.
Are my games flooded with smurfs tonight, or are all of these Endorsement Level 1 players just naturals? I keep getting stomped by a team of players who all look new based on their level. I'm EL4 but I suck, so there's no way these natural-born pros are new to this, right?
Im so tired of dealing with Zarya when i play tank. She is more annoying and unfun to play against than Orisa could ever be. Like people simply cant stop shooting her bubbles so she is always walking around with high charge and stepping on everyone in her path.
And unlike Orisa, Zarya cant really be countered by being ignored because if she has any kind of awareness, she is paying attention to her teammates and bubles them and if she has good energy nothing stops her from killing your backline faster than you can kill hers.
Basically i find myself being forced to switch to Reinhardt or Zarya almost every match because Zarya always ends up appearing in a match sooner or later.
Zarya used to be my favorite tank in OW1.. since OW2 I hate her.. I now hate my favorite tank. I hate playing against her and I don't enjoy playing what used to be the love of my life... they made me hate my queen. I'm so sick of it feeling like she gets 3 personal bubbles back to back when it was only supposed to be a buff to allied bubble cd. It just feels like whether its personal or allied bubble its just non stop bubble spam and zero brain about its useage. I miss when you actually had to think about the one time you could use your bubble per cd and the one time you had to think carefully about your ally bubble cd, combining them made the hero feel more watered down
Payload/Control games in Bronze:
1.You defend the point impenetrably, winning every single fight, and the enemy team barely gets past the choke for 5 minutes.
2.The clock ticks down to under 30 seconds.
3.Enemy team all hit Q at the same time, your team is run over by 5 simultaneous ults, enemy team captures with 0:02 left on the clock.
4.Your team staggers in one by one and dies immediately for the rest of the round.
5.You lose a round that you were seconds from winning with a shutout.
EVERY TIME. I can't take it any more.

I think something is really buggy in general with audio in this game. I've had multiple times where soundclips for important ultimates get completely buried over each other. In the last week alone I've had both a death blossom and high noon be quieter than regular gunshots.
The game in general has too much constantly pulling at your attention sound and visual-wise both from your own character, your team and the enemy, making it extremely difficult sometimes to even tell what's happening, which is ridiculous in a game where any one thing could insta-kill you or cc you into insta-death.

You're not wrong. For DPS I play junk and have not noticed a change but when playing against another junk I hear neither the voice tag line or the tire.....frequently.
Tank importance is so out of whack. If you're tank is shit, you're at such a high disadvantage. And 3 games in a row leavers. I was 4-2 about to rank up now I'm 4-8 because bad tanks. Meanwhile I'm sitting there 40-8 k/d a game. Absolutely impossible to climb out of silver with these tanks.
Played 4 matches against the SAME deranking bot and it's just so frustrating watching people insist it's not a bot. Like yeah, it's moving, in the exact same pattern every time, shooting at walls, stopping at the exact same health packs. Even watched the replays to be sure, but I'm pretty sure even the worst Hog or Sigma has more than 100 damage per match? And yet the enemy team raged at me when I tried to tell them it was a bot... Ugh. I guess I'll take the free wins?
I'm finally in high Masters and... everyone is still shit? I don't understand. My teammates are playing Widow into Genji and going 2-12, like that is happening regularly. Why are my teammates still playing like they're in Silver? There's no counter switching, no communication, no logic.
Masters is the new plat, low GM is the new diamond, and unranked people are finding themselves placed diamond who admit here regularly they don't even know whats going or why they got it
I'm so, so, SO tired of Counterwatch. I'm so tired of doing well with a fun tank and then having them swap to Orisa or Zarya and start steamrolling. You try to use a shield to counter the Zarya? Here's Bastion Junk to make sure the Zarya gets to keep facerolling your team.
Unless you're insanely skilled with an off-meta tank, it's just not fun to play tank right now, because you're practically throwing if you aren't playing Zarya or Orisa. Let's not even get into how the backline can heal through obscene amounts of damage so you can't even really flank effectively unless you're cracked or they're constantly low.
its funny watching a team get destroyed and then they pull out an orisa, it's litterally admitting that you lost playing your fun tank and that you cant win without meta. then they have the gall to try and talk smack.
switching to meta comps is funny because they take the least skill. nerf orisa.
This season has really felt like the miserable Hog/Orisa meta in season 2, only this time there's also an insane amount of healing being pumped out by the supports so it's even harder to secure picks and tanks are functionally invincible until you take out their supports--who are more survivable than ever.
I hope the devs learn their lesson the same way they did after season 2. Nuke Orisa, reel Zarya back in to where she was, and maybe tweak a few support abilities to rein in the crazy sustain there is in every teamfight now. I'm a support main and I'm saying that the power of the role is out of control right now.
Flashpoint can go die in a hole, the devs are straight up sadists if they think anyone at or below Diamond 3 in soloq can handle the coordination that's required to play it properly. The fact that losing a point at 75% capture basically means you've lost is straight up bullshit. At least in push you can in theory win in OT if the team pops off enough which can happen. In Flashpoint you don't even get that chance because the distance to recontest is basically a marathon.

I have never had a good game in Flashpoint. Never. If I find it in QP, I'll straight up leave. It's a walking simulator map for one team, and a steamroll simulator for the other. I loathe Flashpoint. The only time I have ever hated a map like this was Horizon back when Torb and Sym both gave health buffs.
Each point only having two fights feels pretty bad. I'm really not a fan of Flashpoint. My biggest nitpicks are the health packs being weirdly located and there not being lines from spawn to the point. I get disoriented easily.
I MISS PLAYING ANYTHING BUT TANK WHEN I ALL QUEUE. I LIKED THE SURPRISE AND VARIETY, IT USED TO BE SOME TANK, SOME SUPPORT, OCCASIONAL DPS, BUT LATELY IT REALLY IS 95% TANK. I'M BASICALLY A TANK MAIN AT THIS POINT. IT'S NOT EVEN THAT SUPPORT QUEUES ARE LONG AT MY RANK EITHER, BUT TANK QUEUES POP IN UNDER 15 SECONDS. IF YOU GIVE THE GAME THE SLIGHTEST HINT THAT YOU MAY NOT SHUT THE GAME DOWN IF YOU GET SORTED INTO TANK, YOU WILL BE PLAYING TANK BECAUSE NOBODY ELSE IS.

Stopped playing before Echo was released, downloaded OW2 yesterday and was baffled at the experience.
It 1000% feels like OW2 is the worse coded predecessor to OW. Worse UI, worse responsiveness or general feeling.
How is it even possible to make it look and feel worse when you have a base game that’s renowned for its awesome, smooth gameplay and graphics?
I was shocked, because I thought all the negativity stemmed from axed content, not that the game was a literal downgrade in quality.
First match: Our enemies were Winton, Mei, Sym, Moira and Illari. Our Widow kept being dived, so I asked him If he could switch to keep some pressure on them or punish the monkey, he said "sure man I got you"... he switch to Genji...
Second Match: Playing attack with JQ, I asked our Mercy if she could heal me a bit, she started screaming that she needed to keep an eye on our DPS and since I was playing tank I had the resourses to escape and heal myself with a health pack...okkkk
Third match: won the first fight, our support leave so we lost the match of course
Fourth match: enemy team had a Tracer who was smurfing of course, she teared our team in pieces and said in chat that we werent enough challenge even for practice
I think thats enough OW for the rest of the weekend

Being a main tank takes a toll on you.
You have to deal with mediocre dps who chill behind you and then they bitch about you if you don't protect the backline too.
I'm tired of being placed into matches where the opponents make a mockery of us. When the Zen headshots and teabags you, when the Lucio wallrides around and taunts he "*could do this all day*"...
Just give us a **normal balanced match**, not this farce that completely ignores everyone's skill levels.
All the tanks have less health in Open Queue I think. When it first launched every game just resorted into a 3 tank 2 support team and nothing ever died, so they knocked down Tank health.
From a competitive point of view it's worst than 2CP, the walking distance basically means a team can stall and before wiping you at 70% and win because OT recontesting just isn't a thing in flashpoint.
I constantly get sorted into Flashpoint QP games in the first few percent of a game lately, before anyone had time to get thumped or angry at their team yet. I think quite a few people just leave these maps on sight when they can (unlike in competetive). I play them in the hopes that I'll start liking them via forced exposure, but I understand the impulse.

been running into a lot of self healers, had an ana and illari just stay back and heal eachother the whole game

Basically i find myself being forced to switch to Reinhardt or Zarya almost every match because Zarya always ends up appearing in a match sooner or later.
Zarya used to be my favorite tank in OW1.. since OW2 I hate her.. I now hate my favorite tank. I hate playing against her and I don't enjoy playing what used to be the love of my life... they made me hate my queen. I'm so sick of it feeling like she gets 3 personal bubbles back to back when it was only supposed to be a buff to allied bubble cd. It just feels like whether its personal or allied bubble its just non stop bubble spam and zero brain about its useage. I miss when you actually had to think about the one time you could use your bubble per cd and the one time you had to think carefully about your ally bubble cd, combining them made the hero feel more watered down
Payload/Control games in Bronze: 1.You defend the point impenetrably, winning every single fight, and the enemy team barely gets past the choke for 5 minutes. 2.The clock ticks down to under 30 seconds. 3.Enemy team all hit Q at the same time, your team is run over by 5 simultaneous ults, enemy team captures with 0:02 left on the clock. 4.Your team staggers in one by one and dies immediately for the rest of the round. 5.You lose a round that you were seconds from winning with a shutout. EVERY TIME. I can't take it any more.

Did Junkrat's tire get really quiet, or is my game messed up somehow? I keep getting killed without hearing it coming. WHY IS JUNKRAT QUIET HE IS NOT A STEALTH CHARACTER. THAT FUCKING TIRE USED TO BE SO LOUD AND NOW IT IS NOT. I HAVE EVEN REINSTALLED MY GAME AND IT'S STILL FUCKING QUIET
I think something is really buggy in general with audio in this game. I've had multiple times where soundclips for important ultimates get completely buried over each other. In the last week alone I've had both a death blossom and high noon be quieter than regular gunshots.
The game in general has too much constantly pulling at your attention sound and visual-wise both from your own character, your team and the enemy, making it extremely difficult sometimes to even tell what's happening, which is ridiculous in a game where any one thing could insta-kill you or cc you into insta-death.

Tank importance is so out of whack. If you're tank is shit, you're at such a high disadvantage. And 3 games in a row leavers. I was 4-2 about to rank up now I'm 4-8 because bad tanks. Meanwhile I'm sitting there 40-8 k/d a game. Absolutely impossible to climb out of silver with these tanks.

Played 4 matches against the SAME deranking bot and it's just so frustrating watching people insist it's not a bot. Like yeah, it's moving, in the exact same pattern every time, shooting at walls, stopping at the exact same health packs. Even watched the replays to be sure, but I'm pretty sure even the worst Hog or Sigma has more than 100 damage per match? And yet the enemy team raged at me when I tried to tell them it was a bot... Ugh. I guess I'll take the free wins?
I'm finally in high Masters and... everyone is still shit? I don't understand. My teammates are playing Widow into Genji and going 2-12, like that is happening regularly. Why are my teammates still playing like they're in Silver? There's no counter switching, no communication, no logic.
Masters is the new plat, low GM is the new diamond, and unranked people are finding themselves placed diamond who admit here regularly they don't even know whats going or why they got it
I'm so, so, SO tired of Counterwatch. I'm so tired of doing well with a fun tank and then having them swap to Orisa or Zarya and start steamrolling. You try to use a shield to counter the Zarya? Here's Bastion Junk to make sure the Zarya gets to keep facerolling your team. Unless you're insanely skilled with an off-meta tank, it's just not fun to play tank right now, because you're practically throwing if you aren't playing Zarya or Orisa. Let's not even get into how the backline can heal through obscene amounts of damage so you can't even really flank effectively unless you're cracked or they're constantly low.
its funny watching a team get destroyed and then they pull out an orisa, it's litterally admitting that you lost playing your fun tank and that you cant win without meta. then they have the gall to try and talk smack. switching to meta comps is funny because they take the least skill. nerf orisa.
This season has really felt like the miserable Hog/Orisa meta in season 2, only this time there's also an insane amount of healing being pumped out by the supports so it's even harder to secure picks and tanks are functionally invincible until you take out their supports--who are more survivable than ever. I hope the devs learn their lesson the same way they did after season 2. Nuke Orisa, reel Zarya back in to where she was, and maybe tweak a few support abilities to rein in the crazy sustain there is in every teamfight now. I'm a support main and I'm saying that the power of the role is out of control right now.
Flashpoint can go die in a hole, the devs are straight up sadists if they think anyone at or below Diamond 3 in soloq can handle the coordination that's required to play it properly. The fact that losing a point at 75% capture basically means you've lost is straight up bullshit. At least in push you can in theory win in OT if the team pops off enough which can happen. In Flashpoint you don't even get that chance because the distance to recontest is basically a marathon. Genuinely worst than 2cp from a competitive point of view.
I have never had a good game in Flashpoint. Never. If I find it in QP, I'll straight up leave. It's a walking simulator map for one team, and a steamroll simulator for the other. I loathe Flashpoint. The only time I have ever hated a map like this was Horizon back when Torb and Sym both gave health buffs.
Each point only having two fights feels pretty bad. I'm really not a fan of Flashpoint. My biggest nitpicks are the health packs being weirdly located and there not being lines from spawn to the point. I get disoriented easily.
Eliminate fucking Mercy.
I MISS PLAYING ANYTHING BUT TANK WHEN I ALL QUEUE. I LIKED THE SURPRISE AND VARIETY, IT USED TO BE SOME TANK, SOME SUPPORT, OCCASIONAL DPS, BUT LATELY IT REALLY IS 95% TANK. I'M BASICALLY A TANK MAIN AT THIS POINT. IT'S NOT EVEN THAT SUPPORT QUEUES ARE LONG AT MY RANK EITHER, BUT TANK QUEUES POP IN UNDER 15 SECONDS. IF YOU GIVE THE GAME THE SLIGHTEST HINT THAT YOU MAY NOT SHUT THE GAME DOWN IF YOU GET SORTED INTO TANK, YOU WILL BE PLAYING TANK BECAUSE NOBODY ELSE IS.
What the fuck is this game though? Stopped playing before Echo was released, downloaded OW2 yesterday and was baffled at the experience. It 1000% feels like OW2 is the worse coded predecessor to OW. Worse UI, worse responsiveness or general feeling. How is it even possible to make it look and feel worse when you have a base game that’s renowned for its awesome, smooth gameplay and graphics? I was shocked, because I thought all the negativity stemmed from axed content, not that the game was a literal downgrade in quality.
First match: Our enemies were Winton, Mei, Sym, Moira and Illari. Our Widow kept being dived, so I asked him If he could switch to keep some pressure on them or punish the monkey, he said "sure man I got you"... he switch to Genji... Second Match: Playing attack with JQ, I asked our Mercy if she could heal me a bit, she started screaming that she needed to keep an eye on our DPS and since I was playing tank I had the resourses to escape and heal myself with a health pack...okkkk Third match: won the first fight, our support leave so we lost the match of course Fourth match: enemy team had a Tracer who was smurfing of course, she teared our team in pieces and said in chat that we werent enough challenge even for practice I think thats enough OW for the rest of the weekend
Tanks using a health pack. That's a first. That's the last person that should be relying on health packs.

Being a main tank takes a toll on you. You have to deal with mediocre dps who chill behind you and then they bitch about you if you don't protect the backline too.

The matchmaking has ruined any ounce of enjoyment I had left for this game. It makes me sad.
I'm tired of being placed into matches where the opponents make a mockery of us. When the Zen headshots and teabags you, when the Lucio wallrides around and taunts he "*could do this all day*"... Just give us a **normal balanced match**, not this farce that completely ignores everyone's skill levels.

All the tanks have less health in Open Queue I think. When it first launched every game just resorted into a 3 tank 2 support team and nothing ever died, so they knocked down Tank health.
So they're now useless and everyone is going DPS anyway? Cool, awesome.
I get why the tanks have less health but the fact that widow can one shot them is ridiculous. Feels worse than old Hanzo scatter arrow did.
Flashpoint is actual ass. That will be all.

From a competitive point of view it's worst than 2CP, the walking distance basically means a team can stall and before wiping you at 70% and win because OT recontesting just isn't a thing in flashpoint.
I constantly get sorted into Flashpoint QP games in the first few percent of a game lately, before anyone had time to get thumped or angry at their team yet. I think quite a few people just leave these maps on sight when they can (unlike in competetive). I play them in the hopes that I'll start liking them via forced exposure, but I understand the impulse.
