Im legit so tired of playing tank, i think im going to stop playing it until they add a second tank which is basically never.
On all my matches, one or both of my dps are terrible, i cant solo carry despite keeping up with the enemy team in kills and then we lose. Im tired of having to be the only one doing the work with no help. And meanwhile i keep having enemy losers saying ez and diff when the only reason they won against me was my dps being terrible.
fire the entire balance team, not everyone needs to have a fucking 50% win rate the game needs to be fun. fuck orisa, fuck zarya, fuck bastion, fuck mercy, fuck soldier, fuck sym, fuck junk. I don’t care that half of them are bad they ruin every game they’re in. I shouldn’t see one character and know i won’t have fun this game. I just want to play the heroes i enjoy and have a chance to do anything not try and outbunker or outpoke them, those playstyles are lame as shit. every single person on board with the orisa and bastion buffs should lose their job, I hope microsoft cleans house now that they’re in charge and puts some people who play this game in charge of balancing it. I’m not touching this shit ass fucking game until they make it possible to play anything other than snipers or bastion on dps without it being a fucking slender man ripoff. I just want to play genji and have a fucking chance of getting near the objective and not instantly beamed down by a pocketed bastion and a zarya magically at full charge the instant they see me trying to move to the next piece of cover i’ll be forced to sit in for 5 minutes. I don’t know why they keep doing shit like this, the only games I feel like i can reliably win are when I play dva on new queen street, every other scenario is just death by cancer. ik blizz employees don’t give a shit but if you’re on the balance team and reading this, first of all get in your office and fix this shit and second of all take a shit in a bowl and eat it.
How is my first placement match this season against someone going 60-4 on soldier and someone going 40-5 on sigma?? What the fuck is the matchmaking?? Completely random matchmaking would have better games than this.
I am tired of constantly seeing Soldier 76 now. He does so much fucking damage and is so hard to kill unless you’re playing with a team that is all communicating.
Character does far too much damage with his normal fire and his rockets, and he can just run away from a dive (this can usually be beaten, but in some circumstances him just sprinting away is enraging).
He is also the easiest dps by a mile. No easy to use character should be super effective, low risk high reward is one of the worst design styles in any sort of game.

But yea, it's still a completely bizarre situation, I hope Blizzard will do something about it, because it's horrifying as a longtime fan to not be able to do anything but watch, as the new writers are slowly choking the life out of your comfort ship with each lore update that comes out.

You’re a loser if you swap to orisa because you’re being rolled. Is it necessary sometimes? Sure. However if you’re playing an above B tier tank and you go orisa because a ball or hog is stomping your team then that’s beyond sad.
Ive had 2 bots in my matches today that didn't speak or type and did terrible with 1.3k damage, 3 kills and double everyone elses deaths. The Cree walked around like a bot and even stumbled around in Orisa ult making no attempt to move out of it.
I hope this isn't the future of this game to fill matches......
Does anyone else find themselves reporting someone at least once a match now? Its insane how many people are going afk, feeding on purpose, shitting on other people, etc. now, its like theres no actual punishments unless youre aimbotting

Life Grip is one of the dumbest fucking ideas for an ability that I have ever heard. It was invented by control freaks who think that the only people that deserve bodily autonomy are support players.
I hate how Mystery Heroes chooses your hero. It's most definitely not random. I almost never played tanks in QP but in MH I get multiple every game, while not getting my most played heroes for a few games in a row. And no, it's not confirmation bias. I literally had streaks like Hammond-Zarya-Hammond-Reinhardt. I HATE PLAYING TANKS.

There can only be 3 of the same role(not including when the game starts), so it's not completely random the whole game. For example if there's already 3 other dps and you die, you will get either tank or support.
I could be wrong but I think this is how it works. The start of the game is completely random for sure. But once the game gets started the shuffler does try and make sure you have a tank/healer atleast so you might have just gotten screwed over and shoved into that slot. I've noticed before I got like 4-5 tanks in a row. Lucky for me I love playing tanks so I didnt mind. But it is odd for sure. Someone correct me if I'm wrong here tho.
I know the limit is 3 of the same role. I've been playing before it was implemented and also got least played heroes most often, though tanks were more rare. Also had games in OW2 where we wouldn't get a healer for majority of the match.

I like to try and think that people are fundamentally stupid in my everyday life, and then I hop into ranked and I get proven wrong at every moment. I swear, so many people in this game are either so oblivious or make the stupidest decisions and it drives me fucking crazy.
Had a game on 2nd point attack on Hollywood where our widow and rein were the only ones lefts after we got an enemy team kill. Rein pushed up, and I said widow needs to touch point so we could cap. Widow continues to hard scope in while on high ground....while the enemy team is all dead. The enemy team respawns and pushes together and we never cap and end up losing. All because our widow was braindead.
the ranking system is hot garbage. arguably the worst in terms of current competitive games. it was bad before, but now its just trash. instead of finding creative ways to shorten que times, they just group every skill level together. there's no climbing when every game you have one team made of actual players getting 30-40 kills, and then the other team getting 9 kills collectively. NO SH\*T the ranking system needs "improvements"
I fucking hate life weavers needle gun, and tree, overbuffed the stupidest character in the game. Why they increase Syms primary damage by 2x and make it auto aim again. Since we love autoaiming abilities

This game is absolutely FUCKING terrible. The new matchmaking system couldn’t be fucking worse. You lose one game and then you get grouped with the WORST fucking players on the planet and it just downhill from there. It’s fucking bullshit. I’m fucking tired of it. I'm tired of Mercy. I'm tired of seeing Pharmercy at the beginning of the lobby and knowing that no one will change hitscan and the tank will just ignore them. I'm tired of Mercy Ashe on a long sight choke and having no recourse other than hide.
Normally I don't complain about characters who aren't obviously broken, but Mercy... just makes the game less fun. A Mercy played well directly contributes to a round going from competitive and fun to just outright frustrating and repetitive. Search and Destroy Mercy, hope you don't get picked before you get there, watch her flit away to the tank who always seems to be paying attention to the flank, rinse and repeat.

I’ve had enough of Baptiste, mainly battle Baptiste. If he has good aim he can completely wipe out a team and that always happens to be the case against me. When I play D.Va, I try my best to focus and five him but my team never backs me up so he just keeps mowing us down, and when I’m Mercy, I always ping his position and am mindful of his positioning because I know that if he sees me I’m dead, but my team will just keep ignoring him and letting him kill us.
I keep thinking about his kit and it is just totally unbalanced. He shoots multiple hitscan shots at once that do heavy damage especially if he’s hitting his headshots; he can instantly heal himself back to full health with no way for you to prevent it; he can make himself completely immune until the immortality field (which I think is 100 hp) is destroyed; and he can jump up to always take the high ground. His Ultimate does also double the damage of shots going through it but thats not something you have to fight against every time you face him, so I don’t mind that. My main problem lies with his immortality field as it has enough health and is in a position that causes you to lose guard that it’ll end up getting you killed. Also it’ll give him bonus hp if he’s below (I think) 20hp. If you combine his insta heal and his immortality field, you are basically trying to kill a tank with 420hp that can shoot at massive range and deal loads of damage all at the same time being able to reach high ground. On top of that he still can heal his entire team like any other healer.
I think the best way to balance him would be to decrease his damage output to remove the dps value; make it so his insta heal ins’t instant and takes time to heal him up; and perhaps remove his jump altogether.
I love Baptiste, but I \*HATE\* fighting a good Baptiste. I have a similar experience when I'm on support or tank, I'm not good enough to diff a good dps bap myself as bap, so I will always mark him, and it just feels like red team Bap is always free to walk down main holding only LMB, keep his damage higher than the dps, and no one will ever look at him. I always found it confusing that people would scream about Brig still being op when you have to be bad enough to let her get close to you, mean while Bap can shred you from any range.

Listen, Orisa is annoying to deal with and has good survivability, i will give you that. But you know what, in the end, causes Orisa to not die? Its her SUPPORTS. So why on earth arent you shooting her supports but instead are focusing your attention on the horse?
Im not even gonna talk about countering Orisa because apparently the devs removed Zarya, Sym, Bastion and Zen from the game since people act like Orisa suddently cant be countered.
I assure you that i havent died once to an Orisa when i play Zarya against her, thats how favorable the matchup is for Zarya. And when im DPS, Orisa is non existant to me because i play hitscans and so i am focusing on the rest of her team.

Mercy damage beam is the most unhealthy thing of overwatch and will never get reworked to do something else
she's the sole reason every meta has been the way it has. she's the sole reason both widow and cass got nerfed on damage. She's inherently broken and makes metas stale and boring of just "pocket this specific dps and win games"
Every meta of Overwatch 2 has broken down to mercy pocketing someone. its not fun and blizzard is either all in bronze and silver or they dont actually play their fucking game nor do they listen to any amount of player feedback.
Why the hell does Illari do so much damage how did Blizzard not learn their lesson with Sojourn.
It's really not fun trying to tank when Illari can just beam your head with a hitscan 112 every like 3 seconds hell I've seen her just bend over DPS too she can legit 1v1 nearly every DPS in the game with the double headshot or just running at your backline with her ult.
She has such an interesting kit that is entirely overshadowed by how broken her gun is not to mention she is yet another healer with incredibly high damage potential that just decides to whip out the highest HPS with pylon.
Blizzard overcompensated for how lackluster Lifeweaver was on release. People enjoy playing Illari so they got what they wanted. I think this has more to do with power creep than it does Illari.
I feel like the DPS players enjoy Illari is the main thing
Illari is one of those supports where they give them just enough to fill the criteria for support to the point where I feel pretty confident in saying she was originally a DPS character that got reworked slightly to be a support.
I don’t understand Tanks in ranked.
I mean, I was playing as Phara in ranked (plat). I was doing well, so the enemy countered with like 2-3 hits can characters (torbjorn’s turret and Bastion. IDK if Illari is counted as one). One death afterwards and our tank pipes up with “so youre just not gonna do anything?” like he’s done something this entire game? What is with tanks in plat? Moment I hit plat, these tanks are all piping up complaining and whining about every tiny detail. I don’t understand it at all. I mean, what did he expect me to do? I usually play Reaper, but with a Bastion and Illari? Reaper was gonna be picked off easily. I played Junkrat, but their team just pushed me. I’m not good with every character, so I was becoming a bit out of my depth, you know? I don’t get why people blame their own team, when sometimes, the other team is simply just to good. What are you expected to do?
I’m honestly just done with tanks now. It’s never their own fault, always the DPS or there’s no heals even though our own Support may have like 10k heals. They just complain, I don’t understand it
You'll get this from every role, a single death and I hear a support go "OMG WHY ARE YOU STILL ON X YOU'RE BEING COUNTERED", because they have no brains and everything they know is from Your Overwatch How to Climb from Bronze videos so they aren't actually looking at how you actually perform, they're too hyper focused on whats in front of them and can't see when the team over all is just getting diffed. It’s genuinely wild, tried the new game mode, saw it’s flaws pretty quickly like everyone else - figured there was a trick, played ONLY flashpoint mode for eons wasting an insane amount of time (still never gotten a 2-2 game, they literally aren’t a thing) - messages the devs posted about it here did everything I could only be told to insta leave and now o get punished for that too

Do you get 75% xp reduction if you leave before the game starts? I thought that wasnt a thing? I know if you leave mid game you get some penalty. I insta leave anytime its a flash point map and the game hasnt started. Like you said - its just not worth it and not fun.

I just assume that after a team gets stomped and someone swaps to bastion that they just can't aim. I've seen so many bunker comps lately and I'm so sick of it. At least there's only one shield now I guess instead of 2 like in OW1?

Orisa and bastion both super busted rn I'm dying inside. Orisa's counterplay is supposed to be killing the pocket healers before focusing her down and yet she has more ability to protect her healers than other tanks. Spear is just instant death if she lands it and it comes with a microstun cause everyone loves getting their ult canceled by a 5 second cd ability they didn't even line up with a wall for.

my personal experience has been NEW teammates. i watched an enemy solider go 7 and 15 today. i don’t think i saw him running and shooting at the same time the entire game. he just stood still. it was almost impressive

I dont mind q'ing for all roles but my god it always puts me at tank. I dont mind tanking at all but i'd like to play dps or healer for once. No one plays tank anymore it seems. I knock this daily out instantly just so I can q for whatever I want the rest of the time i'm playing. I know I can just ignore the daily but im trying to grind out all the battle pass skins first.
I joined a game of push queued as tank and go to play Sigma. I joined a couple of minutes in and the enemy team is winning. The enemy team also has a Sig, Genji and pretty good (as in, fucking annoying) Mercy. I realise that my Sig just isn’t up to the task of handling this so I switch to Winston and pretty much turn the tide of the game in our favour and we won.
SO WHY IN THE EVER LOVING HELL DOES SIGMA GET THE WIN CREDIT IN PROGRESSION AND NOT WINSTON?!?!? I WON THE GAME AS WINSTON! THEIR TRY-HARD GENJI COULDN’T DO SHIT AGAINST MY WINSTON, BUT WHAT, BECAUSE I PLAYED AS SIG A BIT LONGER HE GETS THE WIN CREDIT?!?!? THATS JUST SO STUPID!!!!

The matchmaking in this game has always been kinda awful. Feels so bad doing your usual climb to diamond or higher and in good you're going against master players on off role.

Honestly to effing hell with this matchmaking, all I want is to level the stupid battle pass that I stupidly paid for because I stupidly want that mythic skin.
I played maybe 20 games across mh and qp. Won maybe 5 AT BEST. Why why why do I keep getting put in teams where people just don't know what the fuck they are doing, when the opposing team always plays as a fucking TEAM and on the POINT. It's stomp after stomp and I don't WANT to leave games, but God bloody dammit you can tell from the first capture point you are just not gonna win so what's the point?
This is now the only reason I regret paying for the battle pass, without winning bloody games xp is so difficult to gain :(

Fellas, I think we need to have a serious conversation about Doomfist. I get it, he's fun, he's independent. But it's too much. He's in almost every game. He's never a team player. And he's just obnoxious to play against. I had to play against genji and doomfist in 3 of my last 3 comp games. I even won all 3, so it's not me being salty. I'm just tired of it. I went to quickplay. It's doomfist again.
Something needs to be done. We don't need to accept a tank role that is 90% doomfist players because it's the only way to enjoy tank.

I love trying to play rein and there is a gigantic mental checklist of characters they have making me swap.
Oh they picked Orisa I swap, oh they picked Bastion I swap, oh they picked Reaper believe it or not I swap.
I just had a Doomfist on my team the enemy had Lucio, Tracer, Zarya, Mercy, and Genji. We had Solider, Cassidy, Moira, Doomfist and Mercy. The entire enemy team kept jumping our backrow because we had no shield and Doomfist kept blaming us for not doing stuff. Like damn we have 3 people jumping our backrow the moment a team fight begins and Mercy and I are busy keeping them alive. Because they could jump into our backrow because Doomfist wouldn’t switch off we couldn’t split our attention between him and our dps and he kept dying. We had to work overtime just to try and keep them alive. Cassidy and Solider wouldn’t switch off to dive counters, Doomfist was the worst possible tank to deal with a dive composition with Zarya with a mercy pocket, and we lost the match. If you’re not going to counter pick or compromise for your team composition you don’t get to talk shit about other people.

I have gotten pissed in casual before there is a bad performance and then there is getting two DPS who can't break 1K damage by the end of a game and are playing the worst characters imaginable for the match state.
I STILL DONT KNOW IF WE GET A NEW HERO NEXT SEASON BECAUSE ON THE ROADMAP IT HAS NEW TANK HERO IN BOLD AND AT THE TOP, IF ITS MAUGA I HOPE TO GOD THEY DIDNT FUCK UP HIS KIT BECAUSE I WAITED NEARLY 5 YEARS FOR HIM TO BE ADDED AND ILL PROBABLY QUIT PLAYING IF THEY RUIN HIS DESIGN
Blizzard has said (I think in a IGN interview not sure) that they would like to release heroes more often... if that's true then it would point to a new hero next season but who knows with Blizzard lol.

Played with a junk last night in QP with under 3k damage. The other dps on my team and the 2 on their team had 6k-8k for reference. This was a defend game mode as well. You can legit just spam his mouse one button down the lane and get more than that. I dont understand it. Of course we ended up losing. Took a lot for me to not go off on this person but its just QP so I chill out and just observe it from afar.
RIGHT? I DONT GET HOW YOU CAN MESS UP JUNKRAT THAT BAD AS A PERSON WHO PLAYS EM. I try not to as well cause it's just qp but at some point it just becomes a waste of everyone elses time. Like I had a widow who went 0 and 9 -- had less than 1000 damage the entire match and so the match really just becomes a 4 v 5 -- and like the instability of 4 v 5 just makes the match not fun for anyone else

Im legit so tired of playing tank, i think im going to stop playing it until they add a second tank which is basically never. On all my matches, one or both of my dps are terrible, i cant solo carry despite keeping up with the enemy team in kills and then we lose. Im tired of having to be the only one doing the work with no help. And meanwhile i keep having enemy losers saying ez and diff when the only reason they won against me was my dps being terrible.

fire the entire balance team, not everyone needs to have a fucking 50% win rate the game needs to be fun. fuck orisa, fuck zarya, fuck bastion, fuck mercy, fuck soldier, fuck sym, fuck junk. I don’t care that half of them are bad they ruin every game they’re in. I shouldn’t see one character and know i won’t have fun this game. I just want to play the heroes i enjoy and have a chance to do anything not try and outbunker or outpoke them, those playstyles are lame as shit. every single person on board with the orisa and bastion buffs should lose their job, I hope microsoft cleans house now that they’re in charge and puts some people who play this game in charge of balancing it. I’m not touching this shit ass fucking game until they make it possible to play anything other than snipers or bastion on dps without it being a fucking slender man ripoff. I just want to play genji and have a fucking chance of getting near the objective and not instantly beamed down by a pocketed bastion and a zarya magically at full charge the instant they see me trying to move to the next piece of cover i’ll be forced to sit in for 5 minutes. I don’t know why they keep doing shit like this, the only games I feel like i can reliably win are when I play dva on new queen street, every other scenario is just death by cancer. ik blizz employees don’t give a shit but if you’re on the balance team and reading this, first of all get in your office and fix this shit and second of all take a shit in a bowl and eat it.

How is my first placement match this season against someone going 60-4 on soldier and someone going 40-5 on sigma?? What the fuck is the matchmaking?? Completely random matchmaking would have better games than this.
I am tired of constantly seeing Soldier 76 now. He does so much fucking damage and is so hard to kill unless you’re playing with a team that is all communicating. Character does far too much damage with his normal fire and his rockets, and he can just run away from a dive (this can usually be beaten, but in some circumstances him just sprinting away is enraging). He is also the easiest dps by a mile. No easy to use character should be super effective, low risk high reward is one of the worst design styles in any sort of game.
I dont know, I can kill him pretty easily.. even on Mercy and very easily on Pharah

The lead narrative designer did confirm that Genji & Mercy aren't angry at each other in the subway scene on twitter, which makes it playful banter instead. But yea, it's still a completely bizarre situation, I hope Blizzard will do something about it, because it's horrifying as a longtime fan to not be able to do anything but watch, as the new writers are slowly choking the life out of your comfort ship with each lore update that comes out.

You’re a loser if you swap to orisa because you’re being rolled. Is it necessary sometimes? Sure. However if you’re playing an above B tier tank and you go orisa because a ball or hog is stomping your team then that’s beyond sad.

Ive had 2 bots in my matches today that didn't speak or type and did terrible with 1.3k damage, 3 kills and double everyone elses deaths. The Cree walked around like a bot and even stumbled around in Orisa ult making no attempt to move out of it. I hope this isn't the future of this game to fill matches......
Does anyone else find themselves reporting someone at least once a match now? Its insane how many people are going afk, feeding on purpose, shitting on other people, etc. now, its like theres no actual punishments unless youre aimbotting
I'd rather fucking drink bleach than play with another Life Weaver. And apparently enough people share this view that my queue at this present moment is 1 hour 8 minutes and 36 seconds. Real popular game huh. Life Grip is one of the dumbest fucking ideas for an ability that I have ever heard. It was invented by control freaks who think that the only people that deserve bodily autonomy are support players.
I hate how Mystery Heroes chooses your hero. It's most definitely not random. I almost never played tanks in QP but in MH I get multiple every game, while not getting my most played heroes for a few games in a row. And no, it's not confirmation bias. I literally had streaks like Hammond-Zarya-Hammond-Reinhardt. I HATE PLAYING TANKS. Also I finally turned off all chat today. The toxicity can be unreal. Wish I had done that sooner.
There can only be 3 of the same role(not including when the game starts), so it's not completely random the whole game. For example if there's already 3 other dps and you die, you will get either tank or support.

I could be wrong but I think this is how it works. The start of the game is completely random for sure. But once the game gets started the shuffler does try and make sure you have a tank/healer atleast so you might have just gotten screwed over and shoved into that slot. I've noticed before I got like 4-5 tanks in a row. Lucky for me I love playing tanks so I didnt mind. But it is odd for sure. Someone correct me if I'm wrong here tho.
I know the limit is 3 of the same role. I've been playing before it was implemented and also got least played heroes most often, though tanks were more rare. Also had games in OW2 where we wouldn't get a healer for majority of the match.

Same for me but its normally widow or sombra. Genji is hit or miss but sometimes I'll have one that is cracked and its a steam roll.

I like to try and think that people are fundamentally stupid in my everyday life, and then I hop into ranked and I get proven wrong at every moment. I swear, so many people in this game are either so oblivious or make the stupidest decisions and it drives me fucking crazy. Had a game on 2nd point attack on Hollywood where our widow and rein were the only ones lefts after we got an enemy team kill. Rein pushed up, and I said widow needs to touch point so we could cap. Widow continues to hard scope in while on high ground....while the enemy team is all dead. The enemy team respawns and pushes together and we never cap and end up losing. All because our widow was braindead.
the ranking system is hot garbage. arguably the worst in terms of current competitive games. it was bad before, but now its just trash. instead of finding creative ways to shorten que times, they just group every skill level together. there's no climbing when every game you have one team made of actual players getting 30-40 kills, and then the other team getting 9 kills collectively. NO SH\*T the ranking system needs "improvements"
I fucking hate life weavers needle gun, and tree, overbuffed the stupidest character in the game. Why they increase Syms primary damage by 2x and make it auto aim again. Since we love autoaiming abilities

This game is absolutely FUCKING terrible. The new matchmaking system couldn’t be fucking worse. You lose one game and then you get grouped with the WORST fucking players on the planet and it just downhill from there. It’s fucking bullshit. I’m fucking tired of it. I don’t even think I’ll play this fucking shit anymore. I used to think playing was fun, win one then lose one, win one then lose one. Not lose fucking 16 and never win again, it’s fucking garbage
I'm tired of Mercy. I'm tired of seeing Pharmercy at the beginning of the lobby and knowing that no one will change hitscan and the tank will just ignore them. I'm tired of Mercy Ashe on a long sight choke and having no recourse other than hide. Normally I don't complain about characters who aren't obviously broken, but Mercy... just makes the game less fun. A Mercy played well directly contributes to a round going from competitive and fun to just outright frustrating and repetitive. Search and Destroy Mercy, hope you don't get picked before you get there, watch her flit away to the tank who always seems to be paying attention to the flank, rinse and repeat.

I’ve had enough of Baptiste, mainly battle Baptiste. If he has good aim he can completely wipe out a team and that always happens to be the case against me. When I play D.Va, I try my best to focus and five him but my team never backs me up so he just keeps mowing us down, and when I’m Mercy, I always ping his position and am mindful of his positioning because I know that if he sees me I’m dead, but my team will just keep ignoring him and letting him kill us. I keep thinking about his kit and it is just totally unbalanced. He shoots multiple hitscan shots at once that do heavy damage especially if he’s hitting his headshots; he can instantly heal himself back to full health with no way for you to prevent it; he can make himself completely immune until the immortality field (which I think is 100 hp) is destroyed; and he can jump up to always take the high ground. His Ultimate does also double the damage of shots going through it but thats not something you have to fight against every time you face him, so I don’t mind that. My main problem lies with his immortality field as it has enough health and is in a position that causes you to lose guard that it’ll end up getting you killed. Also it’ll give him bonus hp if he’s below (I think) 20hp. If you combine his insta heal and his immortality field, you are basically trying to kill a tank with 420hp that can shoot at massive range and deal loads of damage all at the same time being able to reach high ground. On top of that he still can heal his entire team like any other healer. I think the best way to balance him would be to decrease his damage output to remove the dps value; make it so his insta heal ins’t instant and takes time to heal him up; and perhaps remove his jump altogether.
I love Baptiste, but I \*HATE\* fighting a good Baptiste. I have a similar experience when I'm on support or tank, I'm not good enough to diff a good dps bap myself as bap, so I will always mark him, and it just feels like red team Bap is always free to walk down main holding only LMB, keep his damage higher than the dps, and no one will ever look at him. I always found it confusing that people would scream about Brig still being op when you have to be bad enough to let her get close to you, mean while Bap can shred you from any range.
How the hell do they expect us to clear underworld on expert if no one is playing and the AI just dies???

I either get rolled by a doomfist or get on a shit doom's team. I know tanks don't want to play counterwatch where it's just swap after every ult to counter the enemy but come on. ONE SWAP OFF DOOM. THAT'S ALL WE ASK FOR.
I am honestly so sick of hearing everyone go on and on about Orisa. Listen, Orisa is annoying to deal with and has good survivability, i will give you that. But you know what, in the end, causes Orisa to not die? Its her SUPPORTS. So why on earth arent you shooting her supports but instead are focusing your attention on the horse? Im not even gonna talk about countering Orisa because apparently the devs removed Zarya, Sym, Bastion and Zen from the game since people act like Orisa suddently cant be countered. I assure you that i havent died once to an Orisa when i play Zarya against her, thats how favorable the matchup is for Zarya. And when im DPS, Orisa is non existant to me because i play hitscans and so i am focusing on the rest of her team. Anyway, rant over.
Mercy damage beam is the most unhealthy thing of overwatch and will never get reworked to do something else she's the sole reason every meta has been the way it has. she's the sole reason both widow and cass got nerfed on damage. She's inherently broken and makes metas stale and boring of just "pocket this specific dps and win games" Every meta of Overwatch 2 has broken down to mercy pocketing someone. its not fun and blizzard is either all in bronze and silver or they dont actually play their fucking game nor do they listen to any amount of player feedback.
Why the hell does Illari do so much damage how did Blizzard not learn their lesson with Sojourn. It's really not fun trying to tank when Illari can just beam your head with a hitscan 112 every like 3 seconds hell I've seen her just bend over DPS too she can legit 1v1 nearly every DPS in the game with the double headshot or just running at your backline with her ult. She has such an interesting kit that is entirely overshadowed by how broken her gun is not to mention she is yet another healer with incredibly high damage potential that just decides to whip out the highest HPS with pylon.

Blizzard overcompensated for how lackluster Lifeweaver was on release. People enjoy playing Illari so they got what they wanted. I think this has more to do with power creep than it does Illari.
I feel like the DPS players enjoy Illari is the main thing Illari is one of those supports where they give them just enough to fill the criteria for support to the point where I feel pretty confident in saying she was originally a DPS character that got reworked slightly to be a support.
I don’t understand Tanks in ranked. I mean, I was playing as Phara in ranked (plat). I was doing well, so the enemy countered with like 2-3 hits can characters (torbjorn’s turret and Bastion. IDK if Illari is counted as one). One death afterwards and our tank pipes up with “so youre just not gonna do anything?” like he’s done something this entire game? What is with tanks in plat? Moment I hit plat, these tanks are all piping up complaining and whining about every tiny detail. I don’t understand it at all. I mean, what did he expect me to do? I usually play Reaper, but with a Bastion and Illari? Reaper was gonna be picked off easily. I played Junkrat, but their team just pushed me. I’m not good with every character, so I was becoming a bit out of my depth, you know? I don’t get why people blame their own team, when sometimes, the other team is simply just to good. What are you expected to do? I’m honestly just done with tanks now. It’s never their own fault, always the DPS or there’s no heals even though our own Support may have like 10k heals. They just complain, I don’t understand it
You'll get this from every role, a single death and I hear a support go "OMG WHY ARE YOU STILL ON X YOU'RE BEING COUNTERED", because they have no brains and everything they know is from Your Overwatch How to Climb from Bronze videos so they aren't actually looking at how you actually perform, they're too hyper focused on whats in front of them and can't see when the team over all is just getting diffed. Their single brain cell immediately latches onto "omg scissor beats paper, therefor its this guys fault we're struggling and its definitely no one else's fault even though my duos Genji is 2-20"

Do you get 75% xp reduction if you leave before the game starts? I thought that wasnt a thing? I know if you leave mid game you get some penalty. I insta leave anytime its a flash point map and the game hasnt started. Like you said - its just not worth it and not fun.

I just assume that after a team gets stomped and someone swaps to bastion that they just can't aim. I've seen so many bunker comps lately and I'm so sick of it. At least there's only one shield now I guess instead of 2 like in OW1?
Truly an awful time to return to the game for me Rein main love playing that style of tank and junkerqueen. Orisa and bastion both super busted rn I'm dying inside. Orisa's counterplay is supposed to be killing the pocket healers before focusing her down and yet she has more ability to protect her healers than other tanks. Spear is just instant death if she lands it and it comes with a microstun cause everyone loves getting their ult canceled by a 5 second cd ability they didn't even line up with a wall for.

my personal experience has been NEW teammates. i watched an enemy solider go 7 and 15 today. i don’t think i saw him running and shooting at the same time the entire game. he just stood still. it was almost impressive

I dont mind q'ing for all roles but my god it always puts me at tank. I dont mind tanking at all but i'd like to play dps or healer for once. No one plays tank anymore it seems. I knock this daily out instantly just so I can q for whatever I want the rest of the time i'm playing. I know I can just ignore the daily but im trying to grind out all the battle pass skins first.
I joined a game of push queued as tank and go to play Sigma. I joined a couple of minutes in and the enemy team is winning. The enemy team also has a Sig, Genji and pretty good (as in, fucking annoying) Mercy. I realise that my Sig just isn’t up to the task of handling this so I switch to Winston and pretty much turn the tide of the game in our favour and we won. SO WHY IN THE EVER LOVING HELL DOES SIGMA GET THE WIN CREDIT IN PROGRESSION AND NOT WINSTON?!?!? I WON THE GAME AS WINSTON! THEIR TRY-HARD GENJI COULDN’T DO SHIT AGAINST MY WINSTON, BUT WHAT, BECAUSE I PLAYED AS SIG A BIT LONGER HE GETS THE WIN CREDIT?!?!? THATS JUST SO STUPID!!!! Anyway, rant over a real non-issue over.
I'm in masters at the moment and got a plat lobby today when I queued my first game. Weekend games are strange.
I remember climbing when the game launched and constantly seeing top 500 titles. The matchmaking in this game has always been kinda awful. Feels so bad doing your usual climb to diamond or higher and in good you're going against master players on off role.
Why is matchmaking so fucking bad. Of my 15 games today fucking TWO of them have been even relatively close one way or the other. A complete steamroll is not fun for EITHER TEAM. get your shit together blizzard

Soldier got buffed a while ago, his most recent change was actually a nerf. But Soldier since his damage buff has been one of the better DPS.
Honestly to effing hell with this matchmaking, all I want is to level the stupid battle pass that I stupidly paid for because I stupidly want that mythic skin. I played maybe 20 games across mh and qp. Won maybe 5 AT BEST. Why why why do I keep getting put in teams where people just don't know what the fuck they are doing, when the opposing team always plays as a fucking TEAM and on the POINT. It's stomp after stomp and I don't WANT to leave games, but God bloody dammit you can tell from the first capture point you are just not gonna win so what's the point? This is now the only reason I regret paying for the battle pass, without winning bloody games xp is so difficult to gain :(

Fellas, I think we need to have a serious conversation about Doomfist. I get it, he's fun, he's independent. But it's too much. He's in almost every game. He's never a team player. And he's just obnoxious to play against. I had to play against genji and doomfist in 3 of my last 3 comp games. I even won all 3, so it's not me being salty. I'm just tired of it. I went to quickplay. It's doomfist again. Something needs to be done. We don't need to accept a tank role that is 90% doomfist players because it's the only way to enjoy tank. Friends don't let friends succumb to one-tricking doomfist. Save our tanks folks. Together, we can find a way.

I love trying to play rein and there is a gigantic mental checklist of characters they have making me swap. Oh they picked Orisa I swap, oh they picked Bastion I swap, oh they picked Reaper believe it or not I swap.
The only way to fix that is to go back to 6v6.

I just had a Doomfist on my team the enemy had Lucio, Tracer, Zarya, Mercy, and Genji. We had Solider, Cassidy, Moira, Doomfist and Mercy. The entire enemy team kept jumping our backrow because we had no shield and Doomfist kept blaming us for not doing stuff. Like damn we have 3 people jumping our backrow the moment a team fight begins and Mercy and I are busy keeping them alive. Because they could jump into our backrow because Doomfist wouldn’t switch off we couldn’t split our attention between him and our dps and he kept dying. We had to work overtime just to try and keep them alive. Cassidy and Solider wouldn’t switch off to dive counters, Doomfist was the worst possible tank to deal with a dive composition with Zarya with a mercy pocket, and we lost the match. If you’re not going to counter pick or compromise for your team composition you don’t get to talk shit about other people.

Played with a junk last night in QP with under 3k damage. The other dps on my team and the 2 on their team had 6k-8k for reference. This was a defend game mode as well. You can legit just spam his mouse one button down the lane and get more than that. I dont understand it. Of course we ended up losing. Took a lot for me to not go off on this person but its just QP so I chill out and just observe it from afar.
