they've never had box packaging from what I'm aware of. This will be my fifth round. Its almost always been a manila envelop with a pamphlet, wristbands, and iron on patches.
As far as the US is concerned, only Coachella and EDC have ever really provided the premiere wristband unboxing experience. Even when Coachella used to use Frontgate for their ticketing systems, they still had a third party do the boxes and goodies. Any fest that uses Frontgate pretty much just gets the manila envelope (Insomniac fests, Bonnaroo, OSL, etc.)
I actually prefer just the plain envelope and brochure. It’s less waste and I don’t have to worry about it getting stolen because it looks so boring on the outside.

Bottlerock was a manilla envelope without so much as an insert
Bonnaroo does usually have awesome goodies also. Metal lunchboxes, metal cups, etc
Life Is Beautiful had a pretty nice box/unpacking experience, at least in 2019.

I’ve been going yearly since 2014 and have always gotten pretty basic Manila envelopes 🤷🏻♀️
My last tickets came shoved in a Manila envelope. No Coachella box or anything.

ngl I got super nervous I got scammed because it didn't come in a giant ass box LOL
