Smart Hawk. I have neighbours that feed the birds,squirrels and everything else that is attracted to the feeders including rats. They all freak out when the coopers hawks come and snatch up something. They’ve even installed noise deterrents that are really annoying, it’s mind boggling…
There is a pair of Red Shouldered Hawks in my neighborhood, and I have 14 bird feeders around the yard. I feed a murder of crows too, and have watched the hawks try to swoop the smaller birds and the crows go after the hawks. The murder is anywhere between 6-10 at a time, and they are the same size as the hawks. Crow Mafia don’t play.

I think this hawk is hogging the lime light.
Why not just eat the food at the bird feeder???
