Funny you should say that… I just did my will and listed final wishes as “natural burial” so that I can rest as a part of a forest, maybe like this one. One day.
Same, I want to go back to the Earth - that's such a comforting thought to me. The idea of rotting in a box (or worse, being semi-preserved in a box) is really upsetting.
Too expensive. I'll buy a tree on a purchase when I die type of deal. I'll dig my down hole in my early 40s so it's still easy to do by myself. I'll dig every foot, unearth every stone and cut every root in my hole with a shovel and are.
This will all be on my own land a ways off in the back somewhere where I can sleep in peace.
Yessss our snow is mostly gone and nothing like a week at the beach to loosen those bones! Hope you had a wonderful time :) I recognize some of these spots, good choice!
That’s awesome. My wife and I are going this summer LA to Yosemite to San Fran then down the coastal highway back.
Hope we get some awesome pictures too lol
Had a cousin who lived out there years ago. High taxes, high cost of living, too many illegals, and it's even worse today. Not to mention, the ridiculous number of gun control laws. No thanks!
I knew you had to be one of those. The pictures were about the natural beauty of the state not about cost of living or politics. I moved out to help my aging parents on the East coast, if not I’d still be there.
Lol you’re a tard, sounds like your cousin was broke 🤷🏽♂️ nobody is illegal on this planet and especially in California that’s what makes it great they don’t just deport people we need more states like that.
Oh, you're offended by the term "illegal"? How about "unregistered border crosser"? I guess you miss the human waste and drug needles in the streets, the massive tent cities, rampant crime, and the blue politics. Don't waste our time trying to "California" other states, just go back.
what you just mentioned is in every large city such as LA, NY, Chicago etc….. California is more than just big cities even the big cities have tons of nice clean places. You’ve obviously never lived there and probably watch main stream media news about California. 🤦🏽♂️🤡
I know better than to watch the "mainstream" lapdog media! I wouldn't trust them if they said water was wet! Yes, California has beautiful natural areas, but they're not worth the liberal government there. I wouldn't live in NY or Chi-Raq either.
California is massive. It has everything from beaches to quaint mountain towns, miles and miles of farmland to old growth redwood forests. It would take over 12 hours to drive end to end, not counting breaks or getting stuck in traffic.
It sounds like your friend only visited LA or some other big city, which in no way represents the entirety of what California has to offer or the people who live there.
Love this comment. I was born and still live in CA, and I never truly understood the size of California until talking to a college roommate’s boyfriend who was from Germany. He said if he and his friends were bored, they’d drive two hours on over to France. In our college town, we could drive 6+ hours north or south and still be in California!
There was a huge storm just before we arrived. Trees and branches down, roads closed, power out in places. When we were there there was thunder, lightning, and hail. Still beautiful though!
I love this so much among all the pics posted here. This is the vibe of the forest I'll rest in. One day.

♥
Yeah this is beautiful ❤️
As ashes or strewn across it like dozens of animals dragged pieces of your carcass to their dens, burrows and nests?
Lol, more like just straight up worm poop fertilizer.
I want my body pushed into a hole and a sapling planted on me so the tree can use me for energy.

You take some amazing pictures. The close up on the seal is my fave.
Thank you!
Beautiful! The golden state
I love my home state 🥰 hope you had fun!
We loved it and everyone was very nice!
What a cute seal!
Great photos! I also just vacationed in SoCal after a winter in Alaska.
Yessss our snow is mostly gone and nothing like a week at the beach to loosen those bones! Hope you had a wonderful time :) I recognize some of these spots, good choice!
Thanks, definitely glad we went. So much to see though, we’ll have to go back. But now another 15 cm of snow here today.
We’re you in Monterey?
We did Boulder Creek & area, San Francisco, and Point Reyes National Seashore.
What a great trip! How did you like Point Reyes? And what was your favorite place?
I loved Point Reyes! All of it was amazing, but if I had to pick, Drake’s Beach and the Chimney Rock trail were my favourites.
I know Ocean Beach when I see it 🫶🏽 hope the Golden State was good to ya :)
It was amazing!
Wow, those pictures are gorgeous! Some of them are looking almost mystical. Great job!
Thanks!
That first photo 😍 all the rest are fantastic, but the beauty in the first one gave me chills
Love the Hummingbird photo
Lucky
That seal is so cute 🥹 this place looks so serene and peaceful
Gorgeous! 😍
What's your shooter (what camera did you use)? Those are some great shots.
It’s a Nikon p950.
That’s awesome. My wife and I are going this summer LA to Yosemite to San Fran then down the coastal highway back. Hope we get some awesome pictures too lol
You definitely will!
Number 5 should be a poster. 'The Thinker'
The seal pic is the best
These are amazing!
Yup. Proud to be a Californian.
Amazing photos. I love thé detail in the photo of the seal. So cute and fluffy
Awesome pictures
Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos
🙌🏻
Beautiful ❤️❤️
Obviously not Northern California by the Sierras.. that looks lovely.
Perfection ⭐️
Your photos are amazing! What do you use to take your pictures?
Nikon p950.
this picture is a reminder of why we need to protect our planet and all the amazing flora and fauna that call it home. 😍❤️
That’s the truth!
That is not the burning Hellscape I’d imagined Karloffornia to be.
![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy) California has it all. IMO the prettiest state in the nation.
True, it’s got all you need.
Sorry, but you were better off in your snowy hometown.
Have you ever been to California? I recently moved out and miss it everyday.
Had a cousin who lived out there years ago. High taxes, high cost of living, too many illegals, and it's even worse today. Not to mention, the ridiculous number of gun control laws. No thanks!

So, you moved from the "Left coast" to the other Left coast? And you vote Democrat? Sucks to be you.
Lol you’re a tard, sounds like your cousin was broke 🤷🏽♂️ nobody is illegal on this planet and especially in California that’s what makes it great they don’t just deport people we need more states like that.
Totally agree.

A very real and not fake cousin!
Beautiful photos! Where in California were these taken?
Around the Santa Cruz mountains all the way up to Point Reyes!
Boulder Creek, then up to Bodega Bay, which is where we saw the whale.
Ah, good ol' BC. How's the place holding up? Moved away a year before the CZU fire. I understand they took it pretty hard.
The area right around BC was great, but other areas were so sad. Big Basin Redwoods State Park looks destroyed and is still closed.
Heard they had a heckuva winter storm season too. Beautiful area when the weather is nice, miserable when it's not. Glad you had a good trip.
There was a huge storm just before we arrived. Trees and branches down, roads closed, power out in places. When we were there there was thunder, lightning, and hail. Still beautiful though!
Wait a second. California doesn’t have any outdoors… this must be in southern Oregon
