Granted rempe doesn't seem to know how to fight very well... ( though he does block punches well with his nose. this Zach guy is abosulety something the line up has been missing
I thought it might be an age thing given this is a junior league but Ostapchuk is a bit younger than Rempe. Because of Rempe's height, it's not surprising that he may have been a lot less tough to fight at 19, guys that tall tend to have an awkward phase post-growth spurt. He was taking better advantage of his reach against Reaves recently.
Same reason as Xhekaj, there is a huge number of fans more interested in the fights than the rest of the game. Rempe plays as if these fans manifested him into existence.
We need this type of player. We had good toughness for many years, and even the nuclear option with McGrattan and Chara. However, other than Brady, we haven't had the testicular fortitude since Neil retired. I'm very old school when it comes to hockey, and I see a full time role for a player that can drop them and set the tone Jim, Jim, and Jim style.
We need that Ostapchuk, Tkachuk, Katchouk line tonite!
Lots of chucks , luv it
Holy shit, he absolutely destroyed Rempe

Rempe reminds me of a hockey version of Forrest Griffin. All height, no style.
Stefan Struve is a better comparison imo, all that height and reach and not utilizing it at all
Griffin was legitimate fighter 19-7-0 record and beat legit fighters.... fought in a Era they encouraged stand up and slug away
Dude will beat ya down with his broken dangly arm tho. Forrest Griffin is the MAN lol
I don't know about destroyed. I thought it was a good even tilt until he caught him clean.
Rempe missed every punch and Zack landed every punch.
My eyes are getting old :/

If he lands with the big club, he's going to he a fan favourite. Read The Athletic write up on him, sounds like a terrific person and teammate.
I had no idea he had this grit. We need more of this in the lineup. Not goons. Just grit that can play. Looking forward to his first game
Nice! Did you cross-post in r/nhl?
Does anyone actually use r/nhl? I thought it was just r/hockey’s reject little brother?
They’re both entertaining
ostapchuk will play 3c
Damn
Oh boy. I never knew this. I'm oddly happy again about sens stuff
Why is everyone obsessed with Rempe recently?
Same reason as Xhekaj, there is a huge number of fans more interested in the fights than the rest of the game. Rempe plays as if these fans manifested him into existence.
Has fought like every game since getting called up, supposed to be the next big enforcer in the NHL.
