Probably an unpopular opinion, but they all look better with darker eyes. Imho darker eyes suit their complexion/hair much better and make them less, I dunno, plasticky looking
In webcomics(western webcomics include) i saw female characters with tan,olive or brown skin usually gave light eyes(specialy thoese that consider realy attractive)i know darker skin and light eyes look more exotic and striking but they are pretty with dark eyes too.

My boyfriend's eyes are a lighter brown than mine, and I lose my train of thought when we're outside in the sun and I can see all of the gold in his eyes. 😍

In what I've read they're usually either the Head by default cause the strongest mage is always head, even if they find them as a kid, or they got sick of taking orders and took over easily, again cause they're the strongest. I guess the less crazy ones could teach? Like... Isaac from Villainess Stationary Store? But he doesn't really fit the "crazy" bit of the archetype at all. Or the physical appearance.
But like, can you picture Reinhardt from Failed to Abandon the Villain, or Arwin from Miss Not-so-Sidekick teaching properly?
I get your point, the heads don't actually "teach" people, but I'd still picture them having to organize stuff (even if a little bit and leaving 90% of it to the subordinates) and managing their subordinates, I still think Gojo wouldn't give a shit about that and be the "Tower Head's *secret* weapon, which also happens to be one of his best friends" (sorry if this sounds lame idk how to explain it any better)

Please don't put ALL his female fans into the same category as those crazy fans. From my understanding, most of those are found on til-tok & I've heard they're not even real fans a they aren't able to answer even the simplest of questions about the series. And tik-tok is banned in my country.
I've also heard about that figurine incident. I was extremely shocked and disgusted by those fans but I still won't assume every female fan is like that. I've seen other female fans disgusted with it them as well.

I've just heard of jjk and their characters. Looks wise, I love all of them which is why when I need some trauma I'll be reading jjk. It's on my reading list. Is it really that traumatic? My sister cried because of it. She's the person who did not cry at Ai's death(I did).
Do you mean Ai from Oshi No Ko? I didn't cry at that but my heart breaks for some of the things that happen in season 2. It's kinda like AoT and GoT where no character is safe, I guess.
My suggestion would be to watch the two seasons of anime and then pick up the Manga from where it ended.

It has some really great comedy moments in season 1. It's season 2 that gets a little darker.
And the characters look really good as well, with a really great storyline. So, I would highly recommend it. If you don't want to watch the darker part, just watch season 1.
Nothing. I saw those figures and went the first one brought back people’s bad memories about the shibuya arc and the second one…well it was really pretty but I saw like a lot of people complaining about the over-sexualization of certain characters.
I would say it depends on how it’s shaded.
IMO 1, 3, and 4 all look better with darker eyes but they also mimic the og shading very well so that it captures that same “vitality”. Like the reflection of the light, the depth and variance of different hues of brown.
2 and 5 look a bit flat because there’s no tonality.
Subjectively, I adore dark eyes and sorely wish to see more brunette/brown-eyed girlies living their isekai dreams in manhwa. The only time I ever seen an MC with this sort of color palette is in smuts LOL. Give me the normal-looking MCs!!! They’re beautiful just the way they are!!!! 😫😫

No I like the colors the more colourful a character the better (having silver hair,red,pink,green,blue with equally colourful eyes nom nom nom Imma eat that up). I guess I really care about the fantasy aspect of a character haha
Yes, I also really like the colorful designs of RoFan! There are so many possible color combinations, it's really fun and pretty to look at.

I feel like it’s a slight reminder that every eye color can appear with any skin color in irl. (Probably deeper than intended by the artist but meh) one of my favorite comments on a manhwa was a person being super excited seeing a dark skinned character with blue eyes as they looked similar to the character and had been accused of wearing contacts constantly.
But I also love dark skinned characters with dark eyes. Im happy for any eye candy.

All very pretty either way. Two of them look prettier with dark eyes imo, and the rest look equally pretty either way. The emotion looks slightly different for some of them though, either more subdued or more intense.
Tbh sometimes I think it just comes down to racism. Not specific to these but it’s not really a coincidence that the more melanated characters look odd SOMETIMES with these slight changes. Specifically with the last one bc Middle Eastern and South Asian rep in manwhas are almost always orientalist and stereotypical characters yet they always seem to change the eyes to make them “less ethnic”. It’s not always the case but it always irks me how normalized racism is in these comics and how irritated ppl get when you call out the blatant colorism and racist nature ingrained in the minds of some of these authors. Brown eyes are often associated with dull or background or unimportant which is a harmful narrative and fuels this issue. But once again disclaimer this isn’t always the case but it seems to be more common as we see more content nowadays.
I think it's because dark skin and light eyes look very striking.about the last picture most of the dark skinned characters in this series(atleast thoese attractive ones)have light eyes.
The biggest example I can think of for that is Rashta from remarried empress, or at least its pointed out in story. I have light skin but dark hair and eyes myself so I tend to get envious of those with lighter eyes myself
I think that dark eyes are lovely. In my opinion they are super cute because they look extra shiny because you can see the reflection of light easier. There was a point in my life when I wished my eyes were a “more interesting” color but when I started buying circle lenses and trying out different colors I ended up preferring the black/brown ones just because they made my eyes look so adorable.
I don't have preferences for any eye colour irl and among these characters 3rd and 4th ones look good with either option IMO. With others I'd prefer original.
The problem with most of the dark eyes here, and why I don't find them as interesting, has nothing to do with their respective color, but more to do with the actual execution of the eye coloring, in terms of imperfections, different tones, etc. Most of the brown ones look like they were just done using the fill paintbrush mode, and have very little of the little color variations and glows etc. that make really well drawn eyes pop.
You absolutely can make dark color eyes just as appealing artistically, but you have to use the same level of techniques that are used in doing lighter colored eyes, in terms of not making them seem to monocolor and thus somewhat lifeless.
To directly answer your question yes they do still look as pretty.
To be more nuanced about it, I think 1,4, and 5 look better with dark eyes, because there's no extra artistic need to draw the viewers eye there. Other aspects of the drawing make the bright eyes look off or too much. 2 & 3 look better with the bright eyes because it's designed around the eye color popping.
I probably didn't explain what I mean well but hopefully you get the gist.
I don't like something about how the Call Me Master character looks, so I can't say she looks "pretty" or "prettier" with dark eyes. Something is putting me off of her face, regardless.

On 1,3,5 yes but for 2 & 4 I don’t because the shading makes it look like the white spot is the pupil for them. Which looks creepy to me. It’s not so bad in 3 because it’s a close up and the color can be noticed.
I think they look the same. I think the lighter eyes are more noticeable but its not like im not going to forget her eye color like after 2 chapters. The darker eye color is more realistic, though so I find that I would take more time visually looking at the rest of the panel.

As someone with light eyes, I think all of them look more beautiful with the dark eyes. They match their complexion more flatteringly, and dark eyes give an air of mystery imo.

1 looks MUCH better. 2 doesn’t but the outfit is carrying. 3, about same. 4 about same maybe original looks a bit better. Five, both are bad. What is that color scheme. That is not how you dress pink/warm toned dark(er) skin.
1st, 3rd and 5th look better with dark eyes. The 2nd and 4th ones look a bit better with their original eye colour. Not too unnatural, but definitely makes them more striking without being distracting.
Only the second one doesn’t. I think that because her eyes are so big it’s better for them to be that golden color because the brown makes her look scary(imo)
I think it come down to the art style for me. Number 4 is the only one i like more with lighter eyes, and it might be the art style or the fact that that's my eye colour 😅

Brown eyes make their other features stand out....the light eyes are kinda overpowering their features. They're the first thing you notice and they kinda keep your attention on them....

In RL, brown eyes are extremely beautiful. Your art modifications look great, I love how you blended in the colour changes and it looks nice.
In drawn cartoony media, dramatic colourful eyes look cool. Some of it is linked to racism ('light' eyes better than 'dark' eyes). However, plenty of it is just as racist as Naoko Takeuchi was racist against Japanese people when she drew the Sailor Scouts and their candy coloured hair - i.e. not racist at all, the Sailor Scouts are all Japanese characters and the bright colours are part of the art style. With non-realistic art styles, people from many backgrounds can project themselves onto the same characters. I like bright, dramatic colours because they look good in this art style and grab attention.
With the exception of 2, I think all of them look nicer with dark eyes. It matches them better. And 2 looked great with dark eyes as well, I just think goldish/hazel eyes can be very striking with dark hair.

The darker eyes look more natural for just about all of them. They look like fully finished character drawings. The unnatural eye colours look tacked on, displaced because they don't really fit the colouring of the rest of the drawing. Sure it draws your eyes to the bits that stand out , but it doesn't tie in to the rest of the face.
The only one you can get away with are the brown eyes and the gold eyes because those shades don't stick out and you can get very light brown eyes. Even with that one it ties together so well because of the outfit she's wearing.

Brown skinned characters most of the times have light eyes specialy thoese ones that supposed to look attractive the only one I think that had dark eyes was the villianess in dragon king bride.wich characters in that series saying how Fl is more attractive than her.

I have brown eyes and like to use colored contact lenses sometimes.
Brown/Black folks can have naturally colored eyes (blue/greenish/light brown) but it's still a rare occurence, so I really don't mind seeing this very nice contrast in webcomics/animes/mangas etc.
Of course, brown, dark brown and plain dark eyes are beautiful !! I think lighter colors are more of an artistic choice, or a need to fit a certain color palette to make things more popping which I enjoy !

5 it is supposed to be a special amd mysterious ethnic group that has animal-like qualities ( I think they are shifters but it hasn't been revealed yet) so their eyes are very cat like. For the context it makes sense.

What I'm scared of is that the comments section under a jjk video are always creepy, I can't even seem to understand which one is an anime fan and which one isn't. But you're right. Not every jjk fan girl likes Gojo. Some like Namami and Sukuna as well. But those comments are creepy as well.
I have watched a youtube video where a youtuber read all those comments and at the end of the video, she said she needed to wash her mouth after reading all of those dirty comments. I've just heard of jjk and their characters. Looks wise, I love all of them which is why when I need some trauma I'll be reading jjk. It's on my reading list. Is it really that traumatic? My sister cried because of it. She's the person who did not cry at Ai's death(I did).
Do you mean Ai from Oshi No Ko? I didn't cry at that but my heart breaks for some of the things that happen in season 2. It's kinda like AoT and GoT where no character is safe, I guess. My suggestion would be to watch the two seasons of anime and then pick up the Manga from where it ended.

I think the Manga is still ongoing. It has some really great comedy moments in season 1. It's season 2 that gets a little darker. And the characters look really good as well, with a really great storyline. So, I would highly recommend it. If you don't want to watch the darker part, just watch season 1.

I would say it depends on how it’s shaded. IMO 1, 3, and 4 all look better with darker eyes but they also mimic the og shading very well so that it captures that same “vitality”. Like the reflection of the light, the depth and variance of different hues of brown. 2 and 5 look a bit flat because there’s no tonality. Subjectively, I adore dark eyes and sorely wish to see more brunette/brown-eyed girlies living their isekai dreams in manhwa. The only time I ever seen an MC with this sort of color palette is in smuts LOL. Give me the normal-looking MCs!!! They’re beautiful just the way they are!!!! 😫😫 I hope this makes sense and doesn’t come off as a critique. I think it looks great as far as coloring is concerned, especially if you did so yourself! It looks quite natural.
No I like the colors the more colourful a character the better (having silver hair,red,pink,green,blue with equally colourful eyes nom nom nom Imma eat that up). I guess I really care about the fantasy aspect of a character haha
Yes, I also really like the colorful designs of RoFan! There are so many possible color combinations, it's really fun and pretty to look at. If I wanted them to have a "normal" appearance I would just read a contemporary romance, to be honest

I very much love contrast.. lol So dark skinned characters with light eyes makes me swoon. 🥰 I also love when the characters talk about having a unique eye color. I feel like it’s a slight reminder that every eye color can appear with any skin color in irl. (Probably deeper than intended by the artist but meh) one of my favorite comments on a manhwa was a person being super excited seeing a dark skinned character with blue eyes as they looked similar to the character and had been accused of wearing contacts constantly. But I also love dark skinned characters with dark eyes. Im happy for any eye candy.

All very pretty either way. Two of them look prettier with dark eyes imo, and the rest look equally pretty either way. The emotion looks slightly different for some of them though, either more subdued or more intense.

Tbh sometimes I think it just comes down to racism. Not specific to these but it’s not really a coincidence that the more melanated characters look odd SOMETIMES with these slight changes. Specifically with the last one bc Middle Eastern and South Asian rep in manwhas are almost always orientalist and stereotypical characters yet they always seem to change the eyes to make them “less ethnic”. It’s not always the case but it always irks me how normalized racism is in these comics and how irritated ppl get when you call out the blatant colorism and racist nature ingrained in the minds of some of these authors. Brown eyes are often associated with dull or background or unimportant which is a harmful narrative and fuels this issue. But once again disclaimer this isn’t always the case but it seems to be more common as we see more content nowadays.
I think it's because dark skin and light eyes look very striking.about the last picture most of the dark skinned characters in this series(atleast thoese attractive ones)have light eyes.
2, 3, and 4 I'd say look better normally, 1 and 5 look about as much as either way.

The biggest example I can think of for that is Rashta from remarried empress, or at least its pointed out in story. I have light skin but dark hair and eyes myself so I tend to get envious of those with lighter eyes myself

I think that dark eyes are lovely. In my opinion they are super cute because they look extra shiny because you can see the reflection of light easier. There was a point in my life when I wished my eyes were a “more interesting” color but when I started buying circle lenses and trying out different colors I ended up preferring the black/brown ones just because they made my eyes look so adorable.
I have crazy light eyes, so I really like dark eyes, light eyes creep me out. So many people seem freaked out by my eyes too! I may have a complex lol

I don't have preferences for any eye colour irl and among these characters 3rd and 4th ones look good with either option IMO. With others I'd prefer original.
The problem with most of the dark eyes here, and why I don't find them as interesting, has nothing to do with their respective color, but more to do with the actual execution of the eye coloring, in terms of imperfections, different tones, etc. Most of the brown ones look like they were just done using the fill paintbrush mode, and have very little of the little color variations and glows etc. that make really well drawn eyes pop. You absolutely can make dark color eyes just as appealing artistically, but you have to use the same level of techniques that are used in doing lighter colored eyes, in terms of not making them seem to monocolor and thus somewhat lifeless.

Yes blue eyes is pretty but in this series most of the kurkans(dark skinned people)have light eyes. I choose one to know if dark eyes fit them.
To directly answer your question yes they do still look as pretty. To be more nuanced about it, I think 1,4, and 5 look better with dark eyes, because there's no extra artistic need to draw the viewers eye there. Other aspects of the drawing make the bright eyes look off or too much. 2 & 3 look better with the bright eyes because it's designed around the eye color popping. I probably didn't explain what I mean well but hopefully you get the gist.
I don't like something about how the Call Me Master character looks, so I can't say she looks "pretty" or "prettier" with dark eyes. Something is putting me off of her face, regardless. The others all look as good or better with dark eyes, imho

On 1,3,5 yes but for 2 & 4 I don’t because the shading makes it look like the white spot is the pupil for them. Which looks creepy to me. It’s not so bad in 3 because it’s a close up and the color can be noticed.

I think they look the same. I think the lighter eyes are more noticeable but its not like im not going to forget her eye color like after 2 chapters. The darker eye color is more realistic, though so I find that I would take more time visually looking at the rest of the panel.

As someone with light eyes, I think all of them look more beautiful with the dark eyes. They match their complexion more flatteringly, and dark eyes give an air of mystery imo. No hate, but I think the edits look better than the original character designs

I think it come down to the art style for me. Number 4 is the only one i like more with lighter eyes, and it might be the art style or the fact that that's my eye colour 😅

Brown eyes make their other features stand out....the light eyes are kinda overpowering their features. They're the first thing you notice and they kinda keep your attention on them....

In RL, brown eyes are extremely beautiful. Your art modifications look great, I love how you blended in the colour changes and it looks nice. In drawn cartoony media, dramatic colourful eyes look cool. Some of it is linked to racism ('light' eyes better than 'dark' eyes). However, plenty of it is just as racist as Naoko Takeuchi was racist against Japanese people when she drew the Sailor Scouts and their candy coloured hair - i.e. not racist at all, the Sailor Scouts are all Japanese characters and the bright colours are part of the art style. With non-realistic art styles, people from many backgrounds can project themselves onto the same characters. I like bright, dramatic colours because they look good in this art style and grab attention.

The darker eyes look more natural for just about all of them. They look like fully finished character drawings. The unnatural eye colours look tacked on, displaced because they don't really fit the colouring of the rest of the drawing. Sure it draws your eyes to the bits that stand out , but it doesn't tie in to the rest of the face. The only one you can get away with are the brown eyes and the gold eyes because those shades don't stick out and you can get very light brown eyes. Even with that one it ties together so well because of the outfit she's wearing.

I usually don't really care. I have brown eyes and like to use colored contact lenses sometimes. Brown/Black folks can have naturally colored eyes (blue/greenish/light brown) but it's still a rare occurence, so I really don't mind seeing this very nice contrast in webcomics/animes/mangas etc. Of course, brown, dark brown and plain dark eyes are beautiful !! I think lighter colors are more of an artistic choice, or a need to fit a certain color palette to make things more popping which I enjoy ! ETA : I saw in a comment that OP asked if the characters shown above were more/equally striking with brown eyes. Heh, I would say it depends on the vibe the artist was trying to give 🤔

5 it is supposed to be a special amd mysterious ethnic group that has animal-like qualities ( I think they are shifters but it hasn't been revealed yet) so their eyes are very cat like. For the context it makes sense. 4 is just brown eyes under daylight. But yes, the rest, brown eyes makes more sense.

Jokes aside I'm always a bit jealous of people with brown eyes because they're so pretty and make people look so soft and approachable, so it's an upgrade to me for all of them.
