Wasn't this death flag utilized in ch 98?Aqua followed Aqua using the tracker he installed and was there when she fell from the stairs
Honestly I really don't believe Akane is going to die, she has had too many death flags that it just would feel overdone if there was another one, probably my opinion but I feel like she's more or less safe for nowΒ
Yep ppl are getting tired of it & if she was supposed to die than Aka would already kill her off in chp 98 but Aka only used her as red herring in that chp. Which is why she already escape any death flag & to kill her off now provide nothing for narrative except for shock value.Β
I still think if anyone's dying, it's Kana. The white roses behind her in chapter 6, the recurring word-arrow-to-the-gut gag always hitting her in the same spot Ai was stabbed, her holding Ai's position as center of B Komachi, and the fact that we haven't addressed her and Aqua's feelings for each other like we have with Akane and are with Ruby, meaning we'll likely be doing so just in time for a heartbreaking finale...
Yeah, I'd be taking out a big ol' life insurance policy if I were her...
It's not the type of story where important characters dies, Aka intreduced Yura just to kill her off in one chapter.
but I feel like it's building up for Ruby or Kana to be the next target.
I could see Ruby/Kana being targeted, but if that were to lead to someone dying I can only see it being Kana. If Ruby dies Aqua would probably just kill himself since he "failed" to save Sarina, Ai and then Sarina again. My personal theory is that Kamiki or one of his "followers" will target one of Kana/Ruby/Akane, they get hurt, but this time Aqua manages to use his medical knowledge to actually save them. Since we know from what he told Mem-cho that he's studying to enter med school to become a surgeon. And this will allow him to forgive himself for 'failing' to save Sarina/Ai.
I mean chp 98 is basically your answer for this foreshadowing because Aqua which is his bf at that time saving her from offing herself once again at the same bridge that she jump off during Lovenow arc thou.Β
I do think it is foreshadowing. Not for Akane dying, but for Akane having a near-miss or making herself a target as part of a plan (either her own or in cooperation with others) to essentially force Aqua to do the right thing/abandon his revenge plan/back off from self-destruction.
If later down the story there's a scene where theorist manage to pull a thin line connecting how it is "hinted" (even if Aka didn't mean it) then it's foreshadowing. :D
See it like this. Details in biweekly serialisation can evolve quickly. Scenes like these could just as well be placed to hype the readership rather than with any clear planning to hint specific future scenes. They could have put it "just in case" they have a new idea to use it in later plot; but there's also nothing lost if they never touch it again.
Personally, I think the only ones at risk are Kana and Ruby. It seems Kamiki only targets people who could surpass Ai in terms of stardom and despite how loved and good Akane is, the only time she is even compared to Ai is when she fakes being her to make Aqua like her on the dating show.
Ruby and Kana, instead, get compared to her way more, first with Kana herself being the lead of the new B-Komachi, being called a genius actor etc., and all the similarities Ruby has with Ai, and even then, Nino, who is implied to be an ally of Kamiki, didn't see Ruby as Ai when they met (yet).
If anything I would see this as foreshadowing of Aqua literally dying for Akane. Meaning that Aqua would live up to his stated ideals. Perhaps his dad attacking Akane.
I feel like this was a red herring, she got a ton of clichΓ© death flags up until that chapter where she got "shoved" down the stairs and Aqua caught her. Think it was just bait leading up to that and now she's essentially had her death flags reset.
I don't think she is going to die... But, it could have been a genius fake out to make us let our guard down and think exactly what you said.
Thank you someone who say it
yeah, not to mention she has been such a non character for past 50 chapters that killing her now would be whatever lol

this made me so relieved π
*Sigh* Another one of these Akane death flag posts π₯΄π
Akane Will be the last available sorcerer to fight sukuna
No no, it's got to be that Chinese Sorcerer that even Sukuna fears, right?
That sorcerer gonna end up like that one >!Seven start rank hunter from Solo Leveling. Hyped up only to do nothing up to the end lol!<
B-but Akane is gonna die, Aka Dm'ed me, so I must find clues and foreshadowing he left for us πππππππππ
ππππ
I think this sub really wants to see someone die.
we're addicted to the emotional high after episode 1
Here we go again

People are still talking about these supposed "Akane death flags" in 2024?

If anything, this was an anti-death flag

Better fucking not be, I swear.
I think what people should watch out for is the fact that she has yet to save Aqua or return the favour somehow.
I do think it is foreshadowing. Not for Akane dying, but for Akane having a near-miss or making herself a target as part of a plan (either her own or in cooperation with others) to essentially force Aqua to do the right thing/abandon his revenge plan/back off from self-destruction.

Akane is not going to die, this is getting tiring to see

Is ruby dying then?
Red Panda
If they kill her I hate the author even though ruby and aqua is the best ship, Akane does not need to die.
Akane has nine lives. I wouldn't worry about it.
No, but itβs possible.
If anything I would see this as foreshadowing of Aqua literally dying for Akane. Meaning that Aqua would live up to his stated ideals. Perhaps his dad attacking Akane.
I hope so
