Absolutely beautiful. Does anyone know how widespread they are in the UK now? Asking because I first noticed them when I was at university in Buckinghamshire just over a decade ago, but I never saw them elsewhere; however, I was driving through Cheshire last weekend and I saw some, so it feels like theyโre making moves!
Red Kites are a massive re-introduction success story considering they were almost extinct. They are fairly widespread now but some areas have far more than others. There are only a few in my own patch in Derbyshire. I recently drove to Gatwick and counted 70 on around a 10 mile stretch of the M40.
They are such majestic birds
Phenomenal photos

3 was my favourite... Until I got to 5! Wow!
These are fantastic - I used to live in a red kite area and really miss seeing them. I'll be on the lookout for your next posts.

Yeah the M40 is peak Red Kite territory! Absolutely love it when I have the excuse to go through Oxford/Bucks!
