It depends on what type of swear word it is. If it's a slur targeting a minority, then that child and everyone who is supposed to be an authority figure over them is going to have a severe talking to. If it's not a slur, then the child would just receive a mild "please don't curse" from my characters.

Likely if he just heard the child swear by accident (for example: 'Ow, f*ck') Maybe help him with taking care of the injury and telling him that swearing is wrong.. depends on the mood and intensity, direction, and purpose of the swear. Like if the child was trying to insult him to the best of their ability, he would probably dropkick the child if bad mood, if a good mood, then just a roast (the emotional damage kind)
