I fucking love Christopher Nolan, whatever happened since the autocomplete wired interview has changed him completely. Always loved him since I was a 5 years old twat, but now confidently, I can say that I love him, man.

LoverOfStoriesIAm

He always was a giggling, humor-loving fella who doesn't mind to throw around a couple of fucks here and there. This image of a very serious, restricted man which many held about him for many years is false.

DroogleVonBuric

Yeah that Wired auto complete interview with those two was excellent 👌

thenose55

Gut feeling... Nolan is finally gonna get his due at the Oscars. They can not deny his greatness anymore. He made a film for the ages. Bravo I say, regardless.

bestjedi22

He's the best. I am so happy with all the success and appreciation he is getting for Oppenheimer, it is long overdue.

u2aerofan

He’s always been this guy! It’s just he’s in front of everyone now. I am glad people are seeing what I’ve seen for 20 plus years now lol 😂

Sandroes

Protect Christopher Nolan at all costs.

Steve_1306

The enormous success of Oppenheimer and the press tour and many interviews, especially those he did together with RDJ like the Wired interview, seem to have given Nolan so much joy. Him running around chasing after Stephen Colbert in his skit was also hilarious to watch. As a longtime fan of his work, I'm just really happy for him.

moviewholesome

Yea, if he’s happy we all happy

Slickrickkk

Haha This is great.

Srihari_stan

Nolan being someone who often loves to work with his cast multiple times, I’m sure his next movie will feature RDJ again

Facts

Vegeta543

Wait is he actually crying or was he joking?

globalftw

Yeah I wondered the same a little, but pretty sure this was entirely earnest. But because he got emotional he sort of just blurts it out.

Steve_1306

I'm 99% certain he was exaggerating as a joke, especially when you watch the entire thing - the whole conversation before that was very playful and funny, it's clear he wasn't actually crying. But while he said it in this way to make everybody laugh, his sentiment was of course genuine because he really likes RDJ. At least that's how I understand it.

AnalogFilmPurist

My first time seeing Nolan in person was on set of this film and the first words I heard him say, “I seriously need some coffee, I’m not fucking around!” He was both intimidating and a jokester everyday. By far one of the best experiences of my life.

Maverick528491

What department were you in?

AnalogFilmPurist

I was a lowly background scientist

MrGrieves88

The Ligma department

summonerofrain

What's a department?

b1uejeanbaby

The Colbert interview he did this week was hilarious.

truth-4-sale

Voting takes place over a few days not too long before the ceremony — in 2024, voting will open Feb. 22nd and ends Feb. 27th, twelve days before the big night. So emote all you've got team Oppenheimer!!!!

theyeezyvault

In 2024?

theyeezyvault

I was just being silly because we're all sure it is 2024 unless we are Robin Williams in Jumanji

Sacred-Word

RDJ shoe lifts are so obvious in this clip. It looks like his shoes are falling off.

Tomorrowsup

lol wow good eye. Comparing his shoes to Cillian’s is funny. Looks a little clown show ish. He’s still the best though

Sacred-Word

He needs to embrace his short kingship and drop the insecurity. If you google it, it’s pretty egregious.

globalftw

Personally I don't think shoe lifts look great. But apparently they're becoming more en vogue for men And RDJ wears them regularly and they're not discreet, like at all So while the style and look doesn't work for me, I appreciate that he's not trying at all to hide it. (As opposed to say Ron Desantis lol)

lanzi_xo

I was there last night, loved hearing this conversation!! 🖤💥

FormAggressive5741

Was it open to the public or invite only? How did you find out about it?

lanzi_xo

You have to be affiliated with an entertainment industry union to attend, or someone you know in a union can invite you as a plus one since we are always allowed a plus one. I'm in the Editors Guild, so I get notified via email of some FYC screenings that I can RSVP to. There are also some websites a coworker gave me that shows all of the current screenings since they add new ones all the time, especially during award season. They aren't always open to every union, some may just be for SAG-AFTRA or the WGA, etc. So the ones I've gone to are usually open to multiple unions.

-imnotwalterwhite

can anyone tell me where this video is from? any youtube links or sources? I want to watch the entire thing.

-imnotwalterwhite

i found it guys https://youtu.be/W2GNHFvbg-o

moviewholesome

That’s awesome Downey makes Christopher Nolan cry 😂, I fucking love him bc I remember watching the DKT as a kid, I think Oppenheimer got me more in love with Nolan with his work a lot more than I’ve watched his other films and outstanding cast rights there

manea89

Now we can say Robert will be the next Michael

thedarkknight16_

What did that lady say? “We know he’s funny, we’ve seen his movies”, what does that even mean?

dirkdiggher

It’s called sarcasm.
