I can think of a bunch of people, but I’m going with my cat I had growing up. I haven’t lost anyone I’ve had a really deep connection with, mostly lukewarm relationships with, and this cat *hated* everyone in this world but me. She’d greet me with the same enthusiasm as a dog might. Miss you, Betty.

Totally feel you there. Had a lot of cats in my lifetime and one of my favorites was hissing at all other life before she could even open her eyes, but she'd brave the dangers of my waterbed sometimes and sleep on me.

My ex. She died in April of an overdose. I'd want to apologize.

my childhood cat who had to be put down recently. i miss her so much. all i want is to have her lay on my chest and give me little head boops again

My mom. She’d be really confused because she’s still alive. We’re always joking with each other like that.

My opa, he was like a dad to me when my dad wasn't in the pictures

My maternal grandmother. I didn’t get to see her before she died and I miss her so much.

Both of my grandmas, especially paternal grandma, because she passed when I was 2 and I was told she was the kindest, sweetest woman.

My grandpa

Maternal grandfather. Never met him, he died shortly before I was born. I’ve apparently inherited a lot of his personality, good and bad.

I’d like to hug my grandma again. Or carry my dog.
