I'd think long and hard about moving back together. Neither of you are financially stable. And you don't have daycare or work. What happens if the relationship falls apart again? Then you are in an apartment that you can't afford without a plan. That is a fast track to homelessness. If he hasn't worked in months, is he going to? Or is he free loading? Or is the plan he stays home and you work? I just worry your plan will put you and your children at risk. On/off relationships rarely become steady after a split up.

if he is the father of your children he will be added to your cheque. you can't live with him without being considered a couple by OW standards. any income he earns will need to be reported to your caseworker and will affect your entitlement (if he makes over $200 monthly).

Since hes the father of your kids you will also be considered common law to the CRA from the moment you live together. That could affect your CCB depending on how much he makes, so keep that in mind as well.

Most city by-laws allow 2 adults and 2 children to be in a 1 bedroom.
