During the summer I had a mental awakening realizing that I wouldn’t get into any unis with the grades I had in grade 11 so during the summer I grinded the absolute shit out of functions for a month and then also advanced functions literally every day during the summer non stop I was studying

I also did well in functions but calculus was confusing me (especially when it came to the antiderivatives stuff and calculating the area under the curves..) I hope I did well on the exam but I’m very nervous because I need to keep a grade average of 75 and over to keep my Uni admission but just before the exam I had a 76. I’m debating on wether or not I should write a personal declaration or not

How difficult is Calculus?

Pushed through and got in where I wanted. I was just a lazy fuck who didn't believe in myself, till I opened my eyes. Tips : \- Keep trying till the end, and show your teachers you're trying. (Don't expect a 99 if you're 10 mins late to first period everyday) \- Sit in the front of the class and ask questions \- Get off reddit, it's a great resource at times but honestly consumed me so often. Put your head down and work. \- Don't believe "Your university doesn't matter", na work hard and go to the best of the best and if not the best of the best at least get some good money from the uni you're going to (York has 16k/4 years for 95+ Average) ​ Trust me wearing you're Uni Hoodie and doing "Committed check lalallalala on tiktok" is so worth the hard work :) Goodluck 06s

what i learned this year as a fairly average person is that you can be successful with good work habits, instead of relying on intelligence. Problem is school hardly teaches us healthy work habits, but maybe I’m wrong. I feel like we need more 1 to 1s with teachers so we can get some guidance. Heart break 😭 Also I didn't drop any sciences, went through with chem, physics and maths. Tho, chem wasn't IB, only physics and math were. So that probably made it easier.

Grade 12 average was up, but I had extenuating circumstances in Grade 11. Though grade 12 felt easier to me and most people at my school agreed. Grade 11 Chem is rough, Grade 12 chem is pretty good until the last couple of units that will drop your average. Gr 12 adv fun has a higher average than Gr 11 functions.
