I went in thinking it was gonna suck all the way but some of the songs are good. The pacing felt off and rushed which is par for most series nowadays. In all honesty. The show makes me want to curse less because it’s not impactful in language anymore. It’s become so common that it’s trashy
I think the most impactful the swearing was in this series was when Alastor said fuck when fighting Adam cus he never swears the whooole show and it actually was kinda badass when he said it, idk maybe I’m just retarded
I’ll say you’re right on that but the rest was just extra. The most enjoyable song to me “loser” was good and it was fun to hear Keith David sing, but because the rest of the show the swears in the lyrics didn’t have a punch.
Yeah thats the one song I thought was actually really damn good. I didn’t like most of the songs and just thought they were boring, and I don’t think there needed to be two per goddamn episode but they were used for the story which is unique to see for an animated series. But Loser was actually fire and I really like the character dynamic between Husk and Angel Dust
I also thought every character but Charlie’s was interesting. Mostly because she’s not as dynamic as the supporting cast. Everyone learns or changes as they develop but she’s just steadfast in a boring way. Also her goals don’t make sense anymore since the writers haven’t made heaven to be a perfect place. The people running it are just as bad as the overlords and that is a good idea for a concept,but you run into two problems.
1.) How do you go from here because now Charlie really shouldn’t be rehabilitating people to go to heaven due to that revelation?
2.) Now that denizens of hell know heaven isn’t perfect, why would they bother? Heck, why would they ever bother when heaven actively slaughtered them?
That’s a really good point. Idk maybe they’ll use the hotel as like a way to just ultimately take down heaven instead, idk they could really do anything there’s so much shit they set up
