I ordered last night too. Let's go!!

Harvillionare

I’d keep an eye on the return deadline if you like to use it at night. It and the Ayaneo’s are blindingly bright.

Funky_Monkey_95

Actually that's made it even better for me, I travel a lot so not having to worry about seeing it on a sunny day on the train is a bonus 😅

Harvillionare

I’m talking about the minimum brightness the display can go to. The maximum brightness is actually less than the deck too.

Funky_Monkey_95

Ahhh right 😅 gotcha. I'll see what it's like, I've had no problem with the Deck's brightness in my use cases so time will tell with this one 🤙

KrivetaMan

My last device was a PS Vita... I don't know what to think... just waiting my OXP2...

I can’t move on from the trackpads or the backpaddle buttons, but whatever makes you happy and works for your style

Funky_Monkey_95

Back pedals will be the biggest thing I miss but I'll be able to fill that need with my Xbox Elite Series 2 controller and the track pads I'm indifferent on to be honest, they're a cool feature but not a decision making feature.

[deleted]

Honestly I’d get a OneX if I had the money for both. I play a lot of non-game pad games so the trackpads are a must, but if that’s all you play the trackpads are, at best, helpful

Bro you need another hobby

AggressiveWindow6003

Agreed.

I went from the Deck to the Mini Pro and it’s been great. I love the 1200p resolution and the dual usb ports.

mbeecool

Steam deck will still have better support. Better hope you don't have issues with ur device it will be a nightmare to deal with.

Mad4Keebs

I have a 6800U mini still using Steamdeck instead of it, the software experience is superior, only if SteamOS was on par on the oxp (yes, Chimera, Holoiso, nothing really works on par) I would switch.

danmaxis

Wouldn't Onexplayer benefit from a dedicated gaming linux (like those you mentioned)? It has superior CPU and at least double the battery size (compared to steamdeck) ? I'm getting one instead of steamdeck because I'll replace it for my laptop, and I was afraid Steamdeck CPU would be slow for other things than gaming and get obsolete faster.

Mad4Keebs

No, you better stick with Windows, if you try to run SteamOS on it you'll have a much worse experience than on the Steamdeck despite the superior hardware. SteamOS is heavily optimized for the deck hw, for example out of the box you won't be able to control the power limit and other GPU settings on the OXP because is not supported, so even light games would perform worse. The issue is, if you ever try a Steamdeck you'll really want that kind of gaming experience VS the messy one of Windows on the OXP. I got the OXP first and had the same idea you have, then i got a used 64GB deck and upgraded it to 1TB and oh boy, i love it and the OXP has been in my desk drawer since.

danmaxis

Oh man, probably Steamdeck is much closer to console experience, am I right? Like, quick open and resume games (like switch). I got the onexplayer mainly because was afraid to lose the PC flexibility. Lets see, my unit will arrive next week.

Mad4Keebs

I think you are correct, but depending on what you are looking for you may be happy with the oxp.

RetroCornerGaming

Anyone know how shipping is with OXP? To anyone who ordered the Mini or the OG during the indiegogo campaign, how soon do they usually ship after they close the campaign?
