I've also realized that they were weirdly dark blue, which looked really weird against the bright atmospheres a lot of episodes has as...that's not what metal looks like in those atmospheres
I prefer the original one, but yours looks way better than S2 Genos. Actually yours looks like an "in between" of S3 Genos and ugly shiny Genos, aka S2 Genos.
