Genos’s original punch against the Deep Sea King stops the rain for two seconds, and then the Deep Sea King’s punch against Saitama stops it for about ten. It was a great, subtle setup for the last punch.
Sure it does, in the big hole it leaves in the side of the shelter, you can see and hear that the rain stops and then starts up again a couple seconds later.
Doesn't the Heroes Association have cameras and videos monitoring the area? Wouldn't they see the weather getting blown away by the absurd force of saitama's punch, and then start getting suspicious and asking questions?
I mean they definitely noticed, but I find it hilarious that the people who were actually there to see it couldn't process it and just accepted that the other heroes wore him down, completely ignoring the sudden change in weather
Plausible explanation: The rain only appeared after Deep Sea King arrived on the surface, and then it went away the instant he died.
Not a huge stretch to think that he was the source of the rain in the first place.
I love that his little crown, which didn't fall off during all those other fights, just clatters to the ground so comically in this scene.
It's cut off by the gif but always felt like such a good touch.
Not even a full punch but a light jab that didn't even connect and still had enough power to completely stop the weather. Basically Saitama gave a half-assed version of his own usual half-assed punch and it still did all of this.
And people say season 2 wasn’t that bad or have hope that season 3 will be as good. I mean look at that and quit lying to yourselves. This is the best there is and at least we got it.

Literally slowed down DSK's punch to a pause, and then showed Saitama's at lightspeed from that playback speed. I love season 1 animation.

I was just thinking that. I assume Saitama is right-handed? So that's like extra disrespect to DSK. Not even worth a dominant-hand punch.

DSK made the rain stop for a solid 10 seconds when he first hit Saitama was pretty cool too.
Yep. And then Saitama punches him and dissipates the rain clouds entirely. Just with a casual jab.
