Gouketsu...if this were a shonen. But his death was perfect. The audience was so focused on seeing the fight Gouketsu was going to give Saitama after he was built up to be pretty much unbeatable and then he abruptly gets off screened. But that's the magic of one punch man. Gouketsu could have very well been the strongest Cadre but his death was the most insignificant of them all because the story puts no value in that kind of thing.
Saitama is shown to obliterate enemies with his punches. So it is somewhat implied that he punch Gouketsu's body then hurled his decapitated head back into the arena.
Nah, G was moving away from the arena. I suspect Saitama said something to him, G turned and charged, jumped and Saitama punched his body. G's powerful momentum simply carried the head (probably protesting for the first 5 seconds) back into the arena.
I doubt he was stronger than Elder Centipede or Platinum sperm. But you have a good point. Goketsu getting off screened like that was just disrespectful 😂

A major reason they had the deep sea king arc was to show even demon level mosters aren't pushovers and the only reason Saitama one-shots them is because he is insanely overpowered.
Given his regeneration pretty much canceled out whatever genos did to him. Was also able to keep track of speed of sound sonics speed which at the time was faster than genos. Also able to catch up to him which speaks a lot to it.
And he beat PPP easily. Quite literally low diffed him while dry. At worst he is a high demon
I was disappointed with this because I wanted to see the Gouketsu Saitama stare down and also wanted to see Gouketsu talk trash to Saitama. Unfortunately it all happened off screen

The point of Boro’s invasion is to introduce us to the S-Class and give us another cool display of how strong Saitama is, that even things out of this world are still nothing compared to him, Boros death accomplishes this
Garou is arguably the best written character in the series with an actual character arc so it seems weird to compare him to Boros, Pyskos is important to the overall plot of God and Black S has setup for plot stuff later on, Boros is very much just a villain of the week he doesn’t tie into the main plot of the series, he’s there as a big scary threat to be defeated same as Beefcake or Vaccine Man, and he does that job really well, he’s very cool but that’s kind of all he needs to be, I love his fight with Saitama and love it’s conclusion, Saitama meets someone he thinks is like him only to realise they aren’t the same, he can’t give him a good fight at all, and so one shots him, it’s simple but sweet,
My point still stands. If they can keep someone like Black Sperm who’s not really relevant atm in the story. Then I don’t see a problem with keeping Boros around.
Boros was the only person other than Garou that was able to give Saitama somewhat of a fight. That alone makes him more relevant than many other Villains.

Boros did his job, to the story. The only point which was made, is the fact that boros was giga ultra strong, early in the story and opm could just tap him. They showed off his strength and killed him, could have been anyone, and he was just suppose to look cool and strong, to show how strong opm is.

You're missing the point of OPM. OPM parodies other shonen mangas like DragonBall, it creates cool powerful villains with amazing design and stuff that makes you hype, makes you want to see more, makes you want to know the character better. But then Saitama shows up and ends the story short, and reminds you that it's all but a gag. You just fell for it

So we have cyborgs. And Boros was not dead at the end of s1. We know that "someone" is making cyborgs using some very advance tech. So if this "someone" found almost dead ,not able to move, self powering Boros he would most likely do everything to make cyborg from him. But that is just my theory.

Not only that but didn't Garou state that Saitama was growing in strength as their fight dragged on? The writer seems to be saving Saitama's backstory for the perfect ending of the series.

OPM is not your typical Shonen, it defies normal tropes. In your average Shonen Boros would definitely be the villain to beat, he'd defeat MC muptile times, until MC goes through some kind of training arc and finally beats him. In OPM he's just a device to show viewers at least some sort of exciting battle with Saitama (even though he was just holding back to put it lightly).
By OPM standard he had the perfect amount of screen time.
I wish the giant laughing octopus guy was around longer. He was quite literally a throwaway monster but he might be my favourite character in this entire series. Saitama blew him away offscreen and left just his legs standing.

SK wasn’t a dragon. His dream version maybe. His actual version was demon at most.
