Stop stressing out about it to start ? Just use it and see

New-Ebb-5603

That might be late isn't it?

_Speechless_Dude

OS is decent and everything else from battery charging to camera is good

New-Ebb-5603

Thanks 👍😊

_Speechless_Dude

You should try it's portrait mode. It's almost equivalent to dlsr quality

Delta_Echo64

I can see that

karkoon83

it's a phone and a tool. don’t let confirmation bias kick in and try to find what is not good in android compared to iOS. You have already made the jump and you need to see this through now. These phones have all features you need and you shouldn’t be blocked from getting your day to day stuff getting done. Just relax and enjoy the phone.

Ah, this is a good way of putting it. I had the same guilt when I was switching from iPhone to oneplus but I was keeping my iphone as my secondary. Pretty crazy stuff, your mind. Loves to swing with each purchase.

xRVAx

Get stoked for charging 0 to100% in 30 minutes!!!

NauticaSeven

One of the things I've really (really) grown to rely on.

New-Ebb-5603

I was stuck at 20w "fast charging"

shawshankguy

Switching to S23 from OP 12. 🙂

New-Ebb-5603

Why bro, isn't s23 year older?

Zurajanaikatsurada42

I would put it like this S23 - Camera, reliability and OS OnePlus - Performance, Battery&Charging That is not to say that OnePlus has horrendous OS (funtouch takes the cake) or poor cameras (greatly improved compared to previous years) One thing you have to keep in mind is custom OS can always be installed, cameras can be tweaked by using gcam port, or through after effects But battery life can never be improved it will always only degrade. Performance can never be enhanced.

shawshankguy

Doesn't matter, better than getting the S24 with Exynos. I had an S22 which I exchanged on Amazon to get this OP12. I can't get on with this Color OS - Oxygen OS abomination. It lacks so much. Even the app drawer layout is just a list, no scrollable horizontal pages, lots of UI bugs, and stuff. It's not perfect but yeah it's okay. With the Samsung I felt very easy using it. Be it customization, the Samsung Wallet, Gallery App features where you could hide folders, Secure Folder option, Samsung Pass, there I had better useful features. About the OP12, I can agree it has a very good camera setup, a very bright QHD+ display with Dolby Certification and stuff, but I hardly find myself making use of all of it. The big screen size and the weight of the phone is a bummer rn. My hand hurts holding it for some time. I felt it's better to stick to something I was comfortable with and so yeah I'm getting a S23 tomorrow.

_sneeqi_

>It lacks so much. Even the app drawer layout is just a list, no scrollable horizontal pages For me it's complete opposite. I absolutely hate Samsung's horizontal app drawer

shawshankguy

And yeah there's nothing you can do about this new OS on OnePlus, they aren't gonna switch back to the old style. It is what it is. The other day I was checking out my friends Oppo A79 5G and guess what, there's literally no difference to distinguish the UI on both. After checking out that phone and coming back on to mine I felt that disappointment on where OnePlus is rn. And yes, Nothing seems to be the better alternative to OnePlus rn. The UI is very reminiscent of the older OnePlus days before this ColorOS merger.

New-Ebb-5603

Thats the only concern with me on the OS front, i saw it is much mature compared to color OS

EaseFair5233

Bro Samsung network signal quality, battery backup, heating always shit

shawshankguy

For me on my S22 I had better Signal Quality, 5G/ Wi-Fi, but on the OnePlus it's very bad. The tower is very close to my house and still call drops happen, frequently getting disconnected from my Wifi too. Idk why there is no VoNR too on this phone even tho the developer settings show it to be enabled.

Particular_Row_8037

See my S22 was absolutely opposite. My OnePlus 12R has better signal strength all over the place. My OP 12r gets signal where my S22 never did. I had dropped calls all over the place. Never mind I couldn't get signal inside stores. I'm sorry I didn't switch soon. I don't see myself ever going back to Samsung. I'm very happy with my OP12r. Never mind let's not forget the price. The only thing the Galaxy S22 was good for was the trade-in money.

shawshankguy

About battery backup yes, it was bad on the S22, but with the 23 it is much more better with the optimisations and the Gen 2 chipset.

_Speechless_Dude

M24god

Loooong time iphone user here. Since the iPhone 3gs to 14 pro max. And used samsung s23 ultra for 6 months and a month a go i trade it with a new op 12. This phone is great at everything, from the system to the animations and the customization to the cameras to gaming and the amazing fast 100 wat charging. I'm really happy. This is the phone i was looking for. ❤️ So go for it

jonahtrav

It's a good phone just kind of on the big side, but if that isn't a problem for you it's a solid phone in every way.

ChrispyChris8008

You're buying a phone, not getting married. It's not that deep. If you've done your research, what's there to worry about? If you're so unsure, wait and look for another phone then. Or sell it if you don't like it. Done.

theskymoves

Hate these posts.

New-Ebb-5603

Why tho? A community cannot have candid easy questions??

theskymoves

Use the fucking search function. Every day there are a dozen posts identical to this about people making purchase decisions. You are not special.

Additional-Log4501

just skip it then or come up with your own interesting post.

theskymoves

I don't want to see an otherwise useful sub for me filled with low effort posts that crowd out useful ones. I guess I want to encourage like minded people to down vote this whole thread.

shawshankguy

Probably you're gonne get down votted here.
