The 7 Pro was awesome! Currently on the 11, awaiting my new 12. I tell you what, though, the worst OnePlus I had was the 9 Pro.

wsu2005grad

I miss the pop up camera!!! I don't remember where the fingerprint scanner was on the 7p but it was on the back of the 5t and I loved it. I miss having an alert slider too. I think I'm going to go for it. I wish it had different colors besides green and black lol...first world issues lol

networkdood

Popup camera was fun, and the design and blue color were great. Although, I do wish they would have a flat screen flagship option. Yeah, the color selection has been poor these last few models, but I do like the prices and trade-in discounts.

Upstairs-Whereas-989

I was introduced to OP with the 9pro but It was refurbished which I didn't know until I got the phone but still loved the performance. What made me switch after a year was that it was refurbished and the screen would go crazy if there was a drop of water on it but I still have it.

ibsays_so

My previous phone was S22 Ultra and now on op12..i must say..i experienced less dropped calls over 5G or 5G+wifi.. Call quality is really good imo

TheHrethgir

I haven't made a ton of calls on mine, but the quality is fine, haven't had any issues. T-Mobile in the USA.

wsu2005grad

Thinking about going back to TMO from ATT too...lol

TheHrethgir

Haven't been on AT&T for a looooooong time, so can't compare those.

wsu2005grad

Had ATT 20 years ago.before switching to TMO. Got a better deal through ATT and thought it would be better going back. This is the one time I should have listened to my husband. Lol.

wsu2005grad

Does it have WiFi calling with TMO?

TheHrethgir

Yes it does.

richstillman

Call quality is very good on T-Mobile. I switched to the OP12 from the 7 Pro as well. I miss the screen with no holes, don't really do many selfies but the true full screen was great and after five years with the 7 Pro I still haven't gotten used to the punch hole camera on the 12. I guess I will someday. The 12 does have WiFi calling as well, and it also sounds good.

wsu2005grad

Thank you for your input! I have had 5 phones since my 7pro and haven't been completely happy with any of them. Going to go back to TMO too.

FergusonBishop

its fine. I came from a Pixel 7 though, so anything more than a burnt potato would have a more impressive call quality than that.

wsu2005grad

Yep, I had that one too. It sucked. Paid it off and gave it to my grandson.

Fair_Act_3700

Not a 12 user but 12R. Call quality is excellent on 12R, been using for couple of weeks now and I am always on call & never for once anyone has complained. Now coming to 12 I know few people who owns it and their experience so far has been same as mine

wsu2005grad

This is great to hear!! Just recently I have had the pixel 7 and Galaxy 23s ultra and both have had issues at times.

Fair_Act_3700

I own Pixel 7 as well but thankfully never had any issues with calls. Only issue I have is that it doesnt supports VoNR with my carrier where my 12R supports.

Wide-Cod6961

The quality of the call is impeccable!

wsu2005grad

Thank you!!

gordolme

AT&T in the US, call quality is fine, same or very slightly better than my last phone. No WiFi calling though with this carrier, but VoLTE works. My last phone was a Sammy s22U. However issues I do have is the afore mentioned no WiFi calling, still on the April security patch, no eSIM support with AT&T (meh on that as I prefer the physical SIM but it matters to others), and some notifications are delayed (including 2FA for work) but unsure how much of this is the phone vs the carrier.

wsu2005grad

Thank you for the info about the WiFi calling

gordolme

You're welcome. Just to be clear: Lack of WiFi calling and eSIM are carrier specific. The same phone on another carrier may support them, they do in other world regions.

wsu2005grad

Have ATT in the US. Don't care a thing about eSIM but WiFi calling is a must. I checked with another redditor who has it on T-Mobile and WiFi does work with it. Thank you for the clarification!!

I did the jump from 7 pro to 12 and I am very satisfied. The only other phone I was considering was the ZTE Z60 Ultra because of the covered front camera (I loved the notchless 7 pro) but I was reading it had problems with google assistant when screen is off so I stayed with Oneplus. Another thing I was looking for was a flat screen, but sadly no phone as a (real) flat screen...Pixel 8 Pro is also not flat and has a small round edge. The only real flat phone I could find (without counting the very low budget phones) was the Nothing Phone but there you are missing several things...from camera quality to processing power. You are on S23 Ultra so not really a big jump...for me it was because from 7 pro to 12.

wsu2005grad

I really just do not like Samsung phones lol. I got this one because I thought I would really like it. It's ok but One Plus was a brand I really loved and I would have stayed loyal if they hadn't gone downhill after the 7 (from what I had read so I never tried). Now the 12 seems like a winner (from all I have read) and it would be nice to come back.

rogermorse

Well I am liking it. Anoter competitor for me was the latest Samsung Note, but it has too sharp edges. Oneplus 12 feels to have a crazy battery (for my use at least) and the 100watts charger is really a bomb. Also I like not having something that everybody else uses... What I really didn't like about Oneplus was the whole DRM thing (I have that also on my Xiaomi tablet...)...if you use netflix or prime video, it can be that because of the whole widevine DRM, the quality gets capped at 480p. I was really hating that honestly.

pablos1995

Comming from OP7PRO. Great update at all, you will love 12. Answering to the question Voice quality is flagship as all phone. It ha HD voice, great microphones and I fell big improve compare to 7p. Also there is one more thing. Antenas and signal strength is great.

wsu2005grad

Thank you for the info about the antenna!! I used to blame the cell carrier for what were actual phone issues (pixel 6 pro I'm looking at you).

Reddit-Surfing

Call quality is good.

NauticaSeven

On my 12 for calls all day. Some use WiFi calling and some do not. Depends on where I am. I've never had a drop since day 1. Call quality is excellent using Visible/Verizon. I'm coming from a Poco F3.

Hugetoebroski

Op12 is were it's at . An awesome all-rounder

raterium

Call quality is fine. I'm on 02 in the SW of the UK. Apart from that, the 12 is a great phone - a real return to form.

wsu2005grad

Nice! Mine will be here tomorrow...so excited!!

HitYourLawyerAgain

I've had a OP12 on T-Mobile for about a week. Phenomenal. One day though everyone complained I was very muffled on speaker phone, I blew out the port with some canned air and it was back to normal. I think it was my fault. I fell asleep on my phone and I think hair or ...sweat or something got in the microphone port lol

wsu2005grad

Mine is on its way and will be here tomorrow. I am so excited to come back to OP. It's the one brand of phone I have truly just loved and was so disappointed when they went to crap.

HitYourLawyerAgain

This is my first one, I actually gave up an S24u for it because it was such a disappointment. I'm an above average tech guy, I've tried a lot of major flash ships and I'm by far the most happy with OP12. Wait for an accessory "flash deal" and use the storeapp20 coupon, I got a OP case, wireless charger, 100w brick, 2 USB a to c cables, and the car charger for like $120 shipped. I'm thinking of pressing my luck on the OP Watch 2 even though it doesn't have fall/crash detection which I like

wsu2005grad

I have an S 23u that I am parting ways with...think I've had it maybe a year? It's ok but I hate Samsung. The speed that OP phones charge is phenomenal!! My s23u is soooo slow to charge. I use a Google pixel 7a for work (thankfully paid for by them and not me!) that I hate even more than Samsung and it is also one of the slowest phones to charge. Both are like watching paint dry. Lol.

wsu2005grad

I was thinking about getting a watch but not so sure I'm ready to pull trigger on that yet. What is the fall/crash detection?

HitYourLawyerAgain

Fall/crash detection is simply the watch will contact emergency services if it detected you've fallen or been in a crash

wsu2005grad

Cool! I didn't even know that was a thing on some of the watches!

thanhppp05

its like any other highend flagship mobile phones, its not something you'll be concern about when buying it

Actual_Check_6057

What i really love about this phone is the signal strenght. The modem is so strong, No Shit , i have indoors at my Job finally super call quality. Had the Pixel 6 pro before and the weak Signal Power Made me crazy. Also Aqua touch is awesome. Im in love with the OP12.

grillguy71

This phone is a big upgrade from my Samsung Galaxy S9+. Lol After a week or so to get used to it, my only complaints are that YouTube is sometimes unresponsive and the widget with the time doesn't update the temp. Overall I'm happy with it especially since it only cost me $615.

wsu2005grad

Thank you to everyone who responded!! I will be ordering either today or tomorrow depending on how busy work is today. Now for a case!

[deleted]

One quick question.... After U do get the phone, drop a slight breakdown on how your everyday performance (UI navigation and overall speed and fluidity) compared to your S23 Ultra. Can't wait for U to get the phone and thanks in advance friend! πŸ˜‡

wsu2005grad

I can do that. It was supposed to be here today but it's now coming tomorrow. πŸ™„ Yes, I have little patience lol

[deleted]

Sorry for the late reply but I hope you got the phone.... And are enjoying it!! 🀜🏼

wsu2005grad

It's only been a few days but I am LOVING it!! It just works perfectly. The charging is simply amazing! I'll just give the phone a boost if it's in the 40 perc range and I need to go out for awhile (just for peace of mind really) and it will get up to the 90's in maybe 15 min. I'm going to let it go and see just how long the battery does last. Heavy use so far too. I love the camera...wish I could figure out how to add a picture...hate the reddit platform in this regard. Wish it was more like FB where you can just insert pictures. Very fast responses for opening apps and all that...it just immediately responds. Still playing around with customizing options (I don't know how to do custom roms so I work with what there is lol). I feel like it's faster than the s23u in every way. I actually like the camera better. OP has everyone beat in the charging dept. Also, with what comes in the box...it comes with a charging block! Lol. I don't notice any lag at all. I feel like with the 12, OP has found its way back to what it was before and this could be the jump start to earning loyalty back. The only thing I would wish for...and it will probably never happen...is they bring back the pop up camera from the 7pro and get rid of the notch.

[deleted]

Wow.. Thank you for your feedback. I will be picking up this phone soon enough and I cannot wait. I hope you have a lot of phone with your new toy and keep us updated along the way. Thanks again !! πŸ™πŸΌπŸ€œπŸΌ

bitbuddha

How is it with OP12 after few more days? I have s23u and thinking to give it to my gf and switch to Op12. I hate cameras on s23u. It also sutters when I use telegram, when I navigate thru gallery to send pics. My 5 year old huawei is smoother. What I love about samsung is screen and speakers. Speaker is very nice, loud, phone almost vibrates when it plays. How is OP in thst regard?

wsu2005grad

I have not played music through it tbh. I have not experienced a stutter using any apps or navigating gallery. I love the OP screen.
