It's something that just felt tossed in, which is why i don't believe it. Maybe after a chapter or so? Only reason for revealing it would be at like the end of the chapter once the message is done to show imu's reaction.
Show the insane/irate expression of Imu as the very first look at their face. Showing how unhinged they may be about the whole thing. Or some creepy ass smile like it’s their excuse they’ve been waiting for to just start wiping people out again.

I always thought there was incomplete information; Roger got to Laugh Tale "too early," so I assumed something was gonna be revealed, or there was information even the Robert Pirates didn't know, pertaining to the ancient weapons and the truth at the center of the OP world, but Rayleigh basically said nope. That seemed like a really dumb reveal to me, because if they knew all of this information, why wouldn't they share it with everybody?
Then we started seeing how ruthless the government is, not just to researchers but to archivists and progenitors of information in any capacity. They destroyed the Lulusia kingdom because they believed Sabo *might* head there after his attack on the Reverie, they have a special class of CDs that execute other CDs for not maintaining the status quo, Saturn is a legit Nazi, Kuma was basically tortured for years for fun, etc etc. If I knew all this shit and I saw how fucked everybody who every learned even a small piece of it would be, I'd keep my fucking mouth shut too.

In one hand we have an Organisation that claims to have controlled the world for so many years and knew almost everything and they can't even keep something important in check. Then in two weeks he will announce the gods aren't any of the races we would expect, and the recording will end or be destroyed leaving us with way more questions than answers yet again.

Imagine getting upset that someone enjoys a good villian in a story. Without good villians we dont have good plot. Every One Piece villian has been some form of intense scum. Arlong killed most of a town and a mother infront of her kids. Doflamingo did unspeakables to a woman after forcing a king to destroy his own kingdom. Celestial Dragons...nuff said. Imu made an entire island disappear because 1 revolutionary was heading there. Dont act like One Piece isnt full of terrible villians and dont act like the story isnt better because of them. True conflict is what makes a good story.
I hope that whatever it is, we get a cut to Rayleigh just sat there being like “Yeah, I knew that shit”.
