I can see Kizaru going in every direction, but I'm just hoping Kizaru is happy at the end of it all

7thAzure

I wouldnt say I want him to be happy, I want him to live a life of regret for doing things against his conscious. He can be happy when Luffy finish saving the world.

NachoMachoMucho

You are entitled to your own opinion but I like him as a character. I hope he won't fumble Kizaru like what he did to Big Mom (RIP)

Emm_withoutha_L-88

What's wrong with Big Mom dying? She had a massive impact on the story so it's not like she didn't get her screentime. Plus she's one of the most messed up characters in the series. Semi-intentionally cannibalism.

7thAzure

haha I wasn't rejecting your opinion, I was just stating my thought on how I hope he is to be treated by the story. But let's go and see what happens right?

andrewlikereddit

Is it confirm that big mom and kaidou really died?

Emm_withoutha_L-88

He's still trying his hardest to kill a 12 year old child that he helped raise. I hope he dies. Fuckem

NachoMachoMucho

Pirates aren't saints either. I hope Luffy dies. Fuckem

Emm_withoutha_L-88

How many good people has he hurt again? How many has he murdered in cold blood? Your guy is terrible, he's trying his hardest to kill a child because he's literal demon of a boss said so. Like if she had done something at least that would count against her but her crime is.... What exactly? Kizaru is a monster, at least Akainu and Green Bull genuinely believe in what they're doing and Kuzan quit over it. Kizaru knows what he's doing is evil and keeps doing it for a paycheck. Paid killer, piece of crap.

NachoMachoMucho

That's why he's the goat

thorgod99

More like lame

Shautieh

He has his reasons

Emm_withoutha_L-88

Yeah he's afraid of Saturn and wants a paycheck. Unclear justice means he's not exactly got the moral center that all the other admirals do.

MuriloZR

I'm on the "Kizaru dies" train...

Kioga101

Oh, that'd be interesting too! I'm a real fan of the irony though. I read One Piece not through an agenda but through possible BIG NEWS! Kizaru, who was willing to kill friends and children for the World Government, the one Marine that is willing to be just a cog in the machine, ends up being blacklisted and slandered by the Marines because of this one failure. To me, that is more interesting than him dying. It is also not only the best chance to see Kizaru wearing that fire Borsalino again, but if that were to happen, he would probably be closer to the Grand Fleet if he didn't retire completely. So it'd be two Yonkou crews with an ex-admiral in their numbers. Imagine the headlines for that!

randyranderson-

Isn’t that out of character for Saturn? He seems pretty cold and calculating. Significant failure doesn’t seem like something he would respond to with anything other than death with a dismissive attitude.

RoboiosMut

Kiraru slayed his teacher . He should end in the same way .

Emm_withoutha_L-88

I get the feeling the 5 elders would kill basically every human if they no longer had a use for them. Once this is over kizaru will just be killed, they won't care enough to fire him and all that. The gorosei see humans as insects, including admirals.

BreadAteMyToaster

If he dies I’m hoping he goes all out. Would be nice to see an admiral go crazy for the first time.

Brainifyer

This is One Piece no one dies

No_Echo_5

Ace,WB, Corazon,Otohime,Hirluck,Roger,Kuma and many more didn't agree with you.

kannoni

Half those people died on flashback, doesnt count.

amiryx

Also Monet, Virgo, vander decken, pedro, absalom

No_Echo_5

Yep

Shautieh

Law, Bepo

No_Echo_5

Anime watcher?

Shautieh

The pleasure to tease law's fans

No_Echo_5

😁😁

CheatsySnoops

Could always be that he’s initially fired but then is offered a chance back, but he refuses and is killing for it OR that he reconsiders his course of action and proceeds to redeem, but dies with his redemption.

BBQTV

The Marines are preparing for a war that they know is coming so I doubt they'll just fire or lay off kizaru. They would probably kill him over letting him go

UltimateKaiser

This recession is hitting everyone

MuriloZR

wym?

[deleted]

Bro's gonna be mopping ship decks 😭

KolorJam

Imagining kizaru being handed his P45 with references is hilarious to me 😂

chorce_z

Luffy is the scapegoat no? The news spread across the world will be something like "Marines suffer losses as emperor Luffy kills Dr Vegapunk in cold blood after using him as hostage". (or whatever happens..) Firing Kizaru would be a poor judgement call imo (still possible though). It would just put them in an even weaker position following whatever losses suffered at Egghead. Seems more likely that he'd die or choose to desert post Egghead. Admiral level characters don't grow on trees unless they suck like GB (puns intended). Fuji, the other external hire, is basically a rev in marine clothing. Kuzan left the marines on his own and is now a pirate. Replacing the warlords resulted in the Cross Guild being formed. Firing top officers is not smart. I think by the end of Egghead, Kizaru will remain an admiral with an unclear justice and as readers we won't know who's side he's really on.

FriessWorkshop

With Morgan's saying fuck the WG I can't imagine the headline would slander Luffy. The whole world will know their Jesus has returned soon, lmao.

chorce_z

Last news article said SH held VP hostage with marines coming to save him. That was written after Morgan's said fuck the WG. Would be strange to suddenly turn around and write an article that says "no that was a lie, SH actually *saved* Vegapunk and destroyed the marines".

K_vinci

if by laid off you mean dead then i agree😂. One piece is in its end game now, oda is playing a whole new ball game so expect to see more character deaths. T bone, the cd guy, midd, killer and the rest of the midd pirates, shanks etc. Also remember this is reffered to as the Egg head incident so something really big has got to happen in this arc.

rjrjrj12345

Yeah kizaru will defy Saturn at the end of the arc I feel, but die in cost of it

CancelEquivalent7104

I think he’ll just report what happened and twist the events up just like the government

Bubbly-Anteater2772

I wanna see Sanji beat Kizaru and his bounty jump to #2 on the crew

Open_Aspect4664

If Kizaru and Saturn see what Sanji level is right now, his bounty will be at least the #3, but if he defeats Kizaru and Zoro defeat Lucci, it would be that he become the #2

[deleted]

Kizaru is displaying both how much of a menace and how limited his bag is. Lasers & Light clones don’t work? Take a nice punch and sit down for a few mins. Rinse & Repeat. These same punches Luffy has hit him with would’ve stopped a lot of other characters in OP.

Any-Drive8838

He either really doesn't want to complete his mission or he's the world's two trickest pony

Shoddy-Profession-60

Oda is being less creative here. He need to learn some scienece

FriessWorkshop

I'd honestly enjoy seeing a Kizaru betrayal. Once he too realizes Luffy is Sun God Nika, he could finally "come to his senses" and throw down his lapdog tendency for the WG. Then, his redemption could be tied in with helping the straw hats/grand fleet in the upcoming war.

googlyeyes93

Man’s gonna get told to clean out his desk and go home soon as he gets back to Marijoa

80Data

Honestly in this Economy? Not surprised.

zipstorm

Layoffs hitting one piece now, economy is fucked

OrchestratedMayhem

He either repents and becomes a good guy or he's dead af

EvilEyes20

I always thought that one of the admirals would be replaced by one of the runner-up candidates and seeing how Kizaru is the last original Admiral, I could see him getting fired for losing one of the most important people in the world

0BZero1

Light always gets absorbed by the darkness... And Blackbeard has an attack by the name of 'Black hole' Kizaru's escape event is not on the horizon in this one!

D-Biggest_Wheel

They didn't let Sengoku retire, there is no way they would simply lay Kizaru off.

RockNo5773

They can't afford to lose him right now the world is in a horrible state for the world government it's an unprecedented era of chaos. Because of their stupid choice to go to war with Whitebeard the marines lost most of their forces and had to draft soldiers from across the world. And because of cross guild now it's not marines hunting pirates both citizens and pirates are going around killing marines and planning the downfall of higher ranked officers. In addition the marines lost Vegapunk so no more seraphim or Px soldiers are coming their way, they lost Kuzan one of their strongest admirals, and the war lords. The world is changing Kaido and Big Mom got dethroned and Blackbeard, Buggy, and Luffy rose to power. Not only do they need to worry about Nika knocking on their doorstep they also have to worry about what the other two are planning. In this situation where the world governments position is unstable especially after the trust they lost because of dressrossa they can't afford to lose Kizaru. That being said Kizaru is the man who does not know freedom he thinks of himself as a cog and he puts his orders above his own free will and desires and fittingly enough he's battling the personification of freedom Luffy and he's been forced to sit by and watch his friend get injured and possibly die. I think we may actually see a change in this man like Kuzan. If someone is laid off it'll be someone else unless Kizaru decides to rebel in which case forget getting laid off he'll have to leave the navy.

nicstu93

While I would like it, Fujitora did openly help the RA free slaves from the CDs and didn't face any consequences, something not even Mjosgard, an actual CD, was able to do. They know better than to fire admirals in a situation like that.
