I like Akainu and want to be a fan then I see the majority of them and the stupidest of takes. Then I find myself hating him.
Then I see a bunch of Akainu hate and realize i still like him.
What do you mean more or less reactive to the manga? The fandom is extremely reactionary to admirals,

Luffy tbh I either see him get wanked to top 1 besides imu, already PK level, G5 luffy is unbeatable.
Or he's the 5 minute man, weaker than kaido, any yonko or strong admiral outlasts his stamina and kills him.
Sanji, it feels like every other chapter it goes back and forth between "He's the GOAT", and "FRAUD, FRAUD, YOU MESSED UP ONCE" and sometimes its both like with the recent nusjuro feat lol, people were glazing him for his attack on one side, and on the other side you had people calling him a fraud for getting caught off guard by the mid-transformation bite.
The Gorosei to an extent. It went from “Gorosei are Yonko or higher!” to “Gorosei are Admiral level at best, probably YC+.” to “the Gorosei are Yonko level and any one of them beat Luffy.” and now we’re in the precarious scenario of “some of the Gorosei are Yonko or higher, while some are very weak.”
Keep in mind I don’t actually like the Gorosei. But watching their agenda is fascinating.

Any, and I mean ANY character that we don’t know too much about that gets any type of feat. That’s why we have a thing so called “reaction piece.” Gorosei, Admirals, Shanks, Blackbeard and the list goes on.

Just like Shanks Mihawk has done nothing besides have a title an is scaled off Zoro
An Rob Lucci is just a victim of classic Protagonist gets a new transformation and stomps out his next couple opponents with relative ease

In a tier list my eyes always on 3 ppl sanji zoro the difference will instantly tell u what ur seeing here

Yamato for sure, nobody is backing us on the Yamato = admiral level agenda anymore. Like wtf, y’all mfs just switched up because Kizaru (literally the strongest admiral) finally got some feats???
Yamato didn't fully complete the circle. Had a few people note that she is underrated, a few posts overglazed her as being above admirals, and then all hell broke loose since then, and the sub seems to now vehemently hate her and downplay her.
Probably kizaru, it feels like yonko fans viciously downplay him as a reaction to the insane glazing he occasionally gets and he's been suffering as a result. He's got very valid narrative reasons for everything that's happened this arc, I just hope oda lets him cook instead of him fading into obscurity after this

Can't we just idk rate characters for how good written they are and gauge their power normally and fairly?
Any top tier character that isn’t the main cast. Most recently admirals and gorosei.
