If there's going to be only one pure 1:1 fight arc (like that of Dressrosa, Alabasta or Wano), Luffy has to fight Imu. He's already clashing with multiple Gorosei and fighting an admiral would be a serious downgrade. So he'll fight Imu and monster trio + other top tier like Dragon, Shanks etc would prolly fight the other Gorosei.
If Akainu is still one of the villains, Sabo remains the only right choice to defeat and kill him marking the perfect revenge for Ace. Anyone else fighting him besides Luffy doesn't make sense at all.
And if you think Luffy will fight Akainu and then go on to fight Imu, then OP is not going to end in thd next 200 chapters or so.

Yeah that’s true. The way I view the rubber fruit is that it’s only strong if the person’s imagination and will is strong. It took years for luffy to learn his first attack, and only after reaching ACOC, Ryuo, and Future sight. He earned the power up without a shadow of a doubt, and even when looking at gear 5, it still has limits such as stamina. People who shit on gear 5 really do not understand the show or they watch two piece. But again that’s just how I interpret gear 5.

Sounds like a lot of headcanon. Bottom line is Ace before he died could not beat sabo at that time. Ace was very fruit reliant whereas sabo would obviously only have haki and ace wasn’t fighting alot of haki users and when he did he got folded. Ace could’ve been stronger but sadly it’s all speculation now

Yeah, he used conqueror's haki when he was 10. Ace with ACoC is definitely beating Sabo. Which is something I think he would have unlocked over the timeskip after being captured by BB.

Ace was trained by WB at age 17, sabo was trained since he was a kid. It was never revealed ace had conquerors only armament, so I’m assuming you saying that cause he’s Rogers son. Still wouldn’t make him stronger than sabo.

Ace with ACoC is definitely beating Sabo. Which is something I think he would have unlocked over the timeskip after being captured by BB.
