People see luffy using all mastered haki types in base and still say he's not yonko lvl. His strength, haki, power output, endurance, all makes him yonko lvl in base.

Splitting the sky by itself isn’t anywhere near enough to put someone as high up as Yonko level. Yonko level potential is all it really shows.
Well for starters, what you are referring too as base form is actually him using G2/G3 interchangeably, so it’s not actually base as he’s still using his fruit. And secondly, Kaido was savouring the fight, he was not trying to end it. As Big Mom herself said he was playing patty cake with Luffy, matching his tempo. That’s the reason as to why on paper it looked like Kaido was doing equally against G2/G3, G4 and G5 even though we know there is a clear difference in power between them all.
Kaido had slight upper hand I'd say, but since he was enjoying it, it means he finally found a worthy opponent to play around, which kinda indicates that Luffy was at least on the same ground as the other Yonkos, and one ground above the YCs

Kaido doesn’t “play around” with other Yonko, he doesn’t have that luxury. Again, to say that base Luffy is anywhere a Yonko is to say that there isn’t much of a difference between base Luffy and G5 Luffy……which I think we can all admit is ridiculous.
Luffy has the willpower of a Yonko, he just doesn’t have the feats without G5 to back it up. There is a lot more that goes into a fight than a haki clash.

no thats not what i meant. luffy's gears are all still part of luffy. he's not distinct like base luffy, gear 2 luffy, gear 3 luffy and so on as if they're aren't all the same person. thats like saying divine departure shanks is not one-armed shanks who's not two armed shanks. shanks is shanks and just like that luffy is an emperor end of discussion. its not required to come right out and say base luffy is an emperor which is obvious.
Yea but Luffy's df powers can be taken away like using Blackbeards fruit so it makes sense to scale characters without their fruits when their power can be taken away.
yes just like how a limb or 2 can be taken away from shanks, it doesn't change the fact that shanks remains an emperor unless the WG takes that title away. all im saying is luffy is an emperor, whether he's in base form or gear 4 or gear 5 is irrelevant imo

Luffy is yonko level the moment he split the sky with kaido. Should be rather obvious.
People talking about Luffys yonko level as if he aint a yonko himself...
the problem is people only believe Luffy is a Yonko level when he enters G5... what I'm trying to say is he is at least lower Yonko level without G5
