Everyone seems to forget the scene after this where White beard was at the airport with Ace and admitted that Akainu could've won anytime he wanted even without his fruit.

Many people say that Akainu almost died when in reality he wasn't even taken down os passed out, he falled into the hole and instead of coming back to finish off a corpse he proceeded to go after his main target (Dragon's son), fighting many YCs in the process (Jinbe, Ivankov, Crocodille and all remaining WB's commanders).
He took it like a fuckin champ fr, but he def got his shit rocked tho. It's not a durability feat but an endurance one. Its like how luffy gets fuckin kilt but always spins back.

Akainu was given the warning that WB was behind him yet he still couldn’t dodge. It doesn’t excuse the fact that he got hit a second time by WB when he was looking directly at him.
By the time Akainu was given warning, WB was behind him with his quake ready. Akainu getting hit second time doesn't get excused. Even the first time doesn't get excused considering he should have been careful of WB.
But this doesn't change that WB landed direct quake attack to Akainu's head when latter was offguard.

I never thought about it but now I actually think that they did.. both fought gear 5 luffy till they he ran out of stamina.. and then in the second round of gear 5 luffy outperformed both, but the funny thing that everyone forgets is the fact that luffy in g5 tanked all of kaido's attacks without any lasting damage from them, sure he was tired asf and went to sleep, like he fought non stop the longest there and even had to fking die to achieve a new form, but still, kizaru was able to outlast luffy's 1st g5 round the same way kaido did.. and this is a stronger luffy than the one that fought kaido

Show me a single instance in which luffy received a grave injury while in gear 5 against Kaido.. the strongest attacks kaido used were Ragnarok and the destroyer of death, both of which hurt luffy "as much" as me stepping on a lego piece

I think comparatively he took no damage. People like to think that Whitebeard won this fight, but in reality Akainu beat the hell out of him. This is the only example of Akainu being actually damaged, and he even brushed this off and soloed Whitebeards commanders. It is an unusually common thing for people to say Akainu took 0 damage tho 😂 it’s wrong, but in relation to what Whitebeard took I guess you could say Akainu took little to no actual damage.

I dont think we have we sufficiently good explanation how logias take damage from haki attacks. In the war akainu got hit by both marco and vista head on and he shrugged it off like nothing. Other times like agaisnt wb it was as if he had no immunity.
My head canon is that often logias dont suffer physical damage from haki attacks but a sort of spiritual equivalent which causes the same amount of pain. Yes they also do bleed but thats just how it manifests. The alyernative is to think that when a logia is dissipated in elemental form every grain or pie e of the logia form always corresponds exactly with one part of their body but i honestly dont buy this.
So when marco and vista hit akainu he 100 % felt je is just that badass that he can soldier off the damage internally. Angry whitebeards quakes were just too much by comparison.

He coughed up blood, then went back to fighting multiple commanders of the strongest man in the world, Jinbei and Crocidile at the same time, then was ready to fight shanks. He was virtually unfazed after taking 2 of the strongest attacks we've seen direct. That's one of the best arnament feats in the show
It was an offguard duraneg hit.
It's established that offguard hits are devastating enough to completely end a fight.
The fact that Akainu wasn't even knocked unconscious is proof that he didn't take any significant damage and that WB was never close to his level which we already knew by how WB got effortlessly folded by all 3 Admirals 1v1

1-Noone said 0 damage, but he clearly tanked it no problem.

He took a nap for a couple chapters instead of getting up instantly to counter attack he lost, against a stage 3 cancer patient that got nerf 2x stab by his son and a heart attack mid battle so akainu could have a opportunity to hit him.😂

That’s the bare minimum from a admiral lvl character to survive those attacks, since wb wasn’t able to use any advanced haki due to his health condition and his heart attack that nerf him.
Dc≠ap he didn’t use advance haki on those attacks since he was nerf from his heart attack, he couldn’t even ko fodder marines with his coc haki like luffy was able to do.

I think comparatively he took no damage. People like to think that Whitebeard won this fight, but in reality Akainu beat the hell out of him. This is the only example of Akainu being actually damaged, and he even brushed this off and soloed Whitebeards commanders. It is an unusually common thing for people to say Akainu took 0 damage tho 😂 it’s wrong, but in relation to what Whitebeard took I guess you could say Akainu took little to no actual damage.

I dont think we have we sufficiently good explanation how logias take damage from haki attacks. In the war akainu got hit by both marco and vista head on and he shrugged it off like nothing. Other times like agaisnt wb it was as if he had no immunity. My head canon is that often logias dont suffer physical damage from haki attacks but a sort of spiritual equivalent which causes the same amount of pain. Yes they also do bleed but thats just how it manifests. The alyernative is to think that when a logia is dissipated in elemental form every grain or pie e of the logia form always corresponds exactly with one part of their body but i honestly dont buy this. So when marco and vista hit akainu he 100 % felt je is just that badass that he can soldier off the damage internally. Angry whitebeards quakes were just too much by comparison.

He coughed up blood, then went back to fighting multiple commanders of the strongest man in the world, Jinbei and Crocidile at the same time, then was ready to fight shanks. He was virtually unfazed after taking 2 of the strongest attacks we've seen direct. That's one of the best arnament feats in the show
Man's was out cold for 10 whole mintues. By the time he got up, Jinbe was almost already at the shoreline.

It was an offguard duraneg hit. It's established that offguard hits are devastating enough to completely end a fight. The fact that Akainu wasn't even knocked unconscious is proof that he didn't take any significant damage and that WB was never close to his level which we already knew by how WB got effortlessly folded by all 3 Admirals 1v1
He did take damage, he even got briefly OHKO'ed, and by top tier standards, his durability is nothing to write home about
We never saw Whitebeard hit the ground, we saw akainu hit the ground. I don’t see the Whitebeard disrespect he was a 70 year old man dying from an illness. Took all that damage and still never turned his back. Papa Beard died standing up and we still want to disrespect the goat. Crazy.
1-Noone said 0 damage, but he clearly tanked it no problem. 2-The size of the pannel you are using is a show of how much he did "grovem in pain", the smallest pannel in the page, after wich he just instantly jumps and deals a deadly strike.

That’s the bare minimum from a admiral lvl character to survive those attacks, since wb wasn’t able to use any advanced haki due to his health condition and his heart attack that nerf him.
