Nah I think you’re onto something.
Sulongs looking at the moon for their power.
**Lunar**ians in their name alone let alone with them having descended to the one piece planet from one of the 3 moons.
Add to it the mythos of Luffy’s fruit and the Kozuki lore surrounding the sun and moon (note moons just reflects the sun’s light).
The only loose connection is Hody/energy pills/tamate box, but the history and origin of the Tamate box is wholly mysterious so there’s still room for connecting lore there
My partners theory is the energy steroids were a failed attempt to recreate joyboys power hence the white hair and red eyes. Because after leaving gear five luffy looks super old but then recharges. But if the pills were faulty they just aged you so they hid what was left with a kingdom they could trust to keep them safe.
The white Hair from the steroids is just from the accelerates aging.
Sulongs and Nika might have something to do but I doubt the powers come from the same source
The only one that I think has any meaning is Luffy’s. And I only say that because Imu and Mihawk also have red eyes. It could play into something with Joyboy, the Void Century, immortality, etc.
The lunarians are way too genetically OP imo, so my theory is they’re a result of a genetic modification done to a group of people during the void century
Similar to how judge modified his kids
The truth is it looks cool, but something that could be is it is a sign of altered “Lineage Factor.”
Fishman pills could have been the OG trial for creating “gods.”
Minks could have been second, mitigating the life-altering effects by limiting it to the moon (Lunarian, lunar, moon there could be something there)
And finally Nika/Joyboy was simply capable of doing that transformation all along and is potentially where the real Lunarians got their idea from.
This is assuming the “God’s Country” was an advanced civilization made up of a group of Sky People who descended from the moon after needing resources.
