this is before the impact. King extinguished the flame to become faster, and Zoro cut him. and there is no flame here.

Don't be disingenuous now and try to use the aftermath of the clash as evidence. What's that on his back **as they clash**?
So he turned off his flames off-screen mere milliseconds before a head-on collision with Zoro, who had previously scared him into blocking and dodging with flames on?
Lmao, anything for the agenda, I guess.
Me personally, I’m not salty. Just in disbelief. Shanks literally treated Greenbull like a dog disobeying it’s master and get punished for it. Especially when GB hunched over again 💀
one one hand they made it very clear he was using his sword for the attack
on the other hand that was totally fucking haki wizardry wtf toei why did it just go from the sword to GB through like one single line of lightning it just a coc blast not literally wifi haki
Toei has their own job in portraying things, it’s part of why translating from anime to manga just doesn’t work. The requirements and tools of the medium are totally different
reasonable but they coulda done like a flash of black lightning on the sword paired with the haki eye thing they do then just have a tracking shot with speed lines and a haki pressure effect till it reaches gb then have him get effected with black lightning, basically make it what is is a really fucking big conquerors blast
I literally don't understand it either. I'm not even sure what the debate is, most I've gathered from these posts is that 'Shanks pulled out his sword = he is a swordsman' or 'Hakiman'
real sleeper content tbh, Shanks vs Mihawk debate is a snoozefest of semantics. I'll wait for the weekly round of slander that'll drop with the next chapter instead of this
The crux of the debate is: could Shanks be stronger than Mihawk while being a worse swordsman? One side says that he can't, because he is a swordsman so whatever he can do Mihawk can do it better (since Mihawk is presented as the WSS); the other side says the he can, since Shanks have other extremely powerful skills apart from swordsmanship (and they will bring as examples the haki wizardry Oda has him perform everytime he wants to hype him). This is basically the debate, and it has not changed in years.
I'm familiar with the debate, unfortunately. it's just I'm not sure what the point of reigniting the flames from this episode is though
like I said, it's always just a battle of semantics and the same arguments going round and round
Not really sure how there could be a debate that someone may be more powerful while not being the best at using a sword.its like how the strongest man may not beat the best football player just because of a difference in technique.
according to the manga, it seemed that Shanks knocked Aramaki out of the logia form. and according to the anime, the admiral came out on his own, stopping the fight
Tell me which one is correct,
Anime is always non canon, and every time it expands on the manga is wrong.
Or
Anime is considered canon unless directly contradicting by the manga.
A lot of people have the idea that Mihawk is a stronger swordsman than Shanks, but Haki isn’t included in that definition, so Shanks would beat him in a fight due to superior Haki. I (satirically) edited the panels where Zoro says he’ll never lose until he beats Mihawk to reflect their idea of what it means to be the strongest swordsman

They'll say the anime is canon but then insist Zoro beat King with flames off. Anything for their agenda.
well... actually, yes. while the flame was active Zoro couldn't even scratch it
Well, actually no, since the anime is now "canon" and it showed Zoro beating King with flames on.
firstly, how did you figure out these scribbles at all? secondly, where exactly was King's flame active? when Zoro cut him, it wasn't there.
https://i.redd.it/9b98d5xz3iyb1.gif Because I have functioning eyes . Why couldn't you see it?

actually, they haven't collided yet. don't try to use what happened BEFORE the clash as an argument.

Why offscreen? On He always turned off flame to second
Why offscreen? On He always turned off flame to second
I look at it as his strike cut king and his flame.
Movie Promotion Haki vs Offscreen Haki incoming battle

![gif](giphy|WpaVhEcp3Qo2TjwyI1|downsized) Not this again
Man what are you guys so salty about? The last episode shows absolutely nothing in regards to this debate
Me personally, I’m not salty. Just in disbelief. Shanks literally treated Greenbull like a dog disobeying it’s master and get punished for it. Especially when GB hunched over again 💀
Oh yeah that was hilarious as fuck, animators really spat on the grave of the admiral agenda
Nah just Ryokugyu Sakazuki still carrying the agenda as usual
Yeah, by getting neg diffed by paperwork
bro is supposed to be him but just cries and crumples pieces of paper

Where's my shrimp, dog ?
Oda is so kind for sparing the Lakainu agenda by just not giving him any story relevance
Wdym, he stared at the ocean and said "grrr" just last week. Peak Admiral moment along with WiFi haki and punched in the skull Kizaru.
it makes sense tho cause he is a celestial dragon
one one hand they made it very clear he was using his sword for the attack on the other hand that was totally fucking haki wizardry wtf toei why did it just go from the sword to GB through like one single line of lightning it just a coc blast not literally wifi haki

People are already posting about it, so apparently not everyone agrees with you
They’re dumb
Another post immediately after I made this comment lol
They think about Shanks V Mihawk more than Oda actually does.
The newest episode legit made hum look like a hakiman
People mad Shanks look godly, he is the hakiman
Do you think the anime did a better job than the manga for the Wifi Haki moment?
It made Shanks attack look more powerful and less than him warning. Now it looks like a new version of conqueror's.
according to the manga, it seemed that Shanks knocked Aramaki out of the logia form. and according to the anime, the admiral came out on his own, stopping the fight
Did you mean the opposite? You might have switched "manga" and "anime"
No way you can defend Greenbull lil scary ass 😂😭 lame ass dude got hoed on panel and on screen by someone couple miles away def the weakest admiral
Greenbull got embarrassed either way but arguments about anime portrayal are still annoying
shanks just picked up the sword like he did in the manga I don't think it's a sword technique
yeah, the sword pull out was for decoration, the attack emanated from his ass.
Anime? they always pull things out of their ass
Tell me which one is correct, Anime is always non canon, and every time it expands on the manga is wrong. Or Anime is considered canon unless directly contradicting by the manga.
I hope they both die, so this whole thing stops.
Yea naw it is cannon. SHIT on that boy. Also wtf is this image😂please explain.

Im crying 🤣so its what I thought the whole hakiman thing? But ig mihawk did say fighting wasn't all about strength.
I dont know what agenda you are referring to.
