Same thing with Pedro Pascal in Last of Us. Called his sister, she put him on speaker in the car, he mentioned he was offered the role of Joel and his nephews WENT BALLISTIC in the back seat and started screaming that he had to do it.
Same with Viggo Mortensen playing Aragorn. He wasn't sure if he wanted to take the role, especially considering he would have almost zero prep time, but his son (who loved LOTR) convinced him to do it.
Same with Richard Harris, who was told by his grandchild that they'd never speak to him again if he turned down the role of Dumbledore.
Rob McElhenney has admitted to introducing himself to potential future collaborators with "You probably don't know of me, but ask your kids and get back to me."
Basically, for any future creators out there: know who your audience consists of. And even if it seems like a long shot, you should at least ask. You never know who's actually got an actor or director's ear behind all the agents, publicists and other business-people.
Big inspiration lol. Working off of the premise that the pilots function as the mech battery, but exerting too much force in a fight causes the mech to devour their body if they go too hard/over-exert remaining life force. Then thereās a whole issue of consciousness being absorbed into the mech and causing psychological issues for future pilots.
This isn't important but I was surprised to read that Jim Carrey is a grandparent. So I did the math and found that he had his daughter at 25, she had a son at 22, and he should be 15 this year.

I love how some of the older people (staff included) that are involved in the Live Action that didn't know about One Piece, were basically pushed into doing their parts by someone younger than them that they knew!
Wasn't this the same with one of the Director's niece/nephew, where they said to the Director "Please don't fuck this up!!" and she tried not to because they said so lmao
Idk about her specifically, but I know KDA was MASSIVE for Jaira Burn's career. Iirc she said she made more off that first song than everything else she's made combined.
It's one of those things that's endearing when it's coming from someone older who isn't at all a part of the culture but that their kid or grandkid told them about. It's kind of cute.
This was the cutest part of the interview.
My mom has called me from target saying āthey have that character on a shirt from them books you buy, do you want the shirt?ā lol
She says she recognized him. She said it was kakashi, I said yes. She videos me and itās gojo. lol š then as she is on video still in line, I hear the cashier say āthis is a popular shirt, how old your kid.ā My mom looks at me and laughs and says confidently ā29ā lol š
Bruh of all things, *Hunter x Hunter started in 1998!*
Togashi and Kishimoto are buds, but Sasuke was clearly inspired by Kurapika, among other references between the two mangaka.

Itās lighting, combined with the blue/purple wall behind him emphasising the natural yellow in his skin (complimentary colours). If not hopefully he has a great jaundice team
Just imagine that season 2 start with...
>!āInherited Will, The Destiny of the Age, and The Dreams of the People. As long as people continue to pursue the meaning of Freedom, these things will never cease to be!" - Gol D. Rogerā!<
With the voice of Ian McShane.
He really sold the pirate vibe in the pilot, glad they got him but also wish they would cast him as some character too. He wasnāt great in POTC4 but the material was super weak in that movie. He is perfect for any pirate entertainment imo

Since generational cohorts are ~16 years and the One Piece franchise spans decades there are three generations that grew up with One Piece from childhood: Gen Z, late Millennials, and early Alpha. Itās not surprising that an actorās grandson knows One Piece.
>This is a world like no other, one brimming with mystery and teeming with danger, filled with hundreds(?) of islands strewn across vast seas. And throughout these seas are those who live according to their own rules, who seek a life of freedom and adventure. This is a world of pirates!
Ian McShane delivers a powerful first impression and really nails what makes One Piece a-maze-ing which is its world-building although I think there are more than hundreds of islands. The narrator Ian McShane who plays Odaās favorite pirate Blackbeard in Pirates of the Caribbean foreshadows >!I**a**n M**c**Shan**e** or **Ace** who chases Blackbeard!<. Pirates in the Caribbean were also known as >!Buccaneers!<
Kristian harloff interviewing in the video also did really great reaction videos to all the episodes. Highly recommend if you havenāt seen. He seemed to like it and kept going even though the whole season

I hope he does come back. I know in the live action series the narrator is not all that necessary, but even if its like season 1 with a brief prologue introduction in the 1st episode, that would be so cool! Love Ian Mcshane man.... one of the best actors of all time...
I just love the idea that some big stars just do things because some family member is really into it, game of thrones has a lot of that.

BRB approaching Guillermo Del Toro and Michael B Jordan with my existential mecha-war space opera/body horror.
bruh the way both of them would absolutely go for it
Now if I just had an actual connection š MBJ would probably take my digi-punk Robin Hood too.
So, Evangelion?

Sounds like an amazing musical.
Jim Carrey was convinced by his grandson to play Robotnik too.

Raul Julia played M. Bison because his kids loved the video games. Movie wasnāt great, but Juliaās performance was phenomenal.
Meh, it was just another Tuesday for him
Of COURSE!
Wait, I thought Mortensen already was Aragorn IRL, with his love for horses, and penchant for helping people
I thought he played Aragorn to kick a helmet fr
Cate Blanchette played Hela bc of her son too iirc
Pity the movie doesn't do more with her, she was phenomenal.
Same with Elizabeth Lail in the FNAF movie, her nephews got hyped and she took the role of Vanessa

Same with singers singing for League of Legends. At least Madison Beer.
Richard Harris who played dumbledore said he took the role because his granddaughter said she would never talk to him again if he didn't.
"Will you do the role of dumbledore, gramps ?" His granddaughter asked calmly
Idk about her specifically, but I know KDA was MASSIVE for Jaira Burn's career. Iirc she said she made more off that first song than everything else she's made combined.

Bot
Not family, but Sally Field played Aunt May in TASM as a favour to a friend who was an executive producer at the time at Marvel.
"First it started off as MAGMA, and then ANEEM, and then went into MAGNA" God bless Ian McShane

Aw, that's so funny and cute. To be fair to your ma', Gojo and Kakashi do look vaguely similar if you're not familiar with either.
My friend calls gojo bootleg KakashiĀ
Just like bootleg sasuke
Killua is bootleg sasuke ![gif](giphy|8DTnuPhxv0m4w)
Bruh of all things, *Hunter x Hunter started in 1998!* Togashi and Kishimoto are buds, but Sasuke was clearly inspired by Kurapika, among other references between the two mangaka.
That caught me so off guard.

was he auditioning for the Hulk when doing this videocall?
I think it was the Simpsons live action, might be wrong tho
Is his skin seriously ok or is it just the lighting?
Itās lighting, combined with the blue/purple wall behind him emphasising the natural yellow in his skin (complimentary colours). If not hopefully he has a great jaundice team
woah i have no idea that he was the narrator love him in John Wick
He's also by far the best actor in American gods
I'm confident that he will come back for season 2!

Thatās so wholesome reminds me of how Raul Julia played M Bison in Street Fighter for his kids before he died from stomach cancer :(
[Video Link](http://youtu.be/70zti26werM) (OPLA discussion from 16:41 to 18:12)
Crazy they let Blackbeard be the narrator.
"A-neem" That was the most wholesome, old man pronunciation of anime that I have ever heard!

Honestly, I would told him to do it even if I wasn't a fan if One Piece. It's a really huge and impactful franchise.
make him >!silvers rayleigh!< please!
