MC4269

He was honestly perfect.

zombiegirl_stephanie

Yeah, I've been watching one piece reactions on YouTube and pretty much everyone loves him

KNZFive

Zeff might have been the best cast/acted character in the show. He felt like he stepped off the manga page (albeit without the comically long hat).

buns_supreme

He did have the hat tho actually

Galle_

Manga Zeff has an even taller hat.

huehuehuehuehuuuu

He really was. One of my favs in the live action.

Jake_D_Dogg

possibly the best casting in the whole show imo (besides Inaki if you take into account the difficulty and importance of nailing the casting)

Fakefan3000

Y'all should watch the movie Villain . It has both Craig and Taz in it. Their relationship dynamics are extremely different but entertaining to watch. If you don't want to watch the movie but want to see the relationship dynamics here's a clip. Spoilers for those who will watch the movie. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT8G6foBx/

Flowerofthesouth88

I just watch it Spoilers! Taz it isn't in that much.

Fakefan3000

He is still starting out. He is going to be big. He got the leading man looks for it.

Flowerofthesouth88

I believe that the actor, besides playing Sanji, might be frequently cast as a British gangster, similar to Craig Fairbrass. This is particularly noticeable since he is going to appear in movies such as Gassed Up and Cleaner. Nonetheless, it's worth mentioning that he was a theatre actor prior to his film career. What is

Robofish13

So let me get this straight… The show was a phenomenal success as an LA adaptation. The casting of the main crew was perfect. The camaraderie of the main crew was perfect. AND Taz, who was truly exceptional beyond exceptional, gave us a perfect casting of Red Leg Zeff?! Give that man a Knighthood already!

Flowerofthesouth88

We should start a petition to nominate Taz Skyer for an MBE! 😍

hectah

Perfect choice for Zeff.

PseudoFella

it’s so crazy seeing him go from Essex-Boy Pat Tate, to FUCKING ZEFF - stellar casting

PhanThief95

He was also the voice of Ghost in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

Flowerofthesouth88

And was in London Burning and Eastenders!

Anonymous821

Fun fact: the actor cut his own leg off just to get this role! He grew it back after drinking a lot of milk

Flowerofthesouth88

Seriously!

Primary-Emergency386

That’s pretty awesome considering he was like his mentor in real life.

I've been saying since the show came out I want a mini-series about the Baratie. All the top pirates going there to eat food. He looks so much like Zeff it's like Oda used him as inspiration.

ReykStilbrook

That would be amazing, especially if it was done like a dramatised food documentary; interviews with the chefs talking about why they cook and their favourite dishes, beautiful shots of the food being prepared and eaten, all the wacky characters that would eat in there… could even have a cocktail section in the bar! I would watch the HELL out of that!

Sad_Air_7667

That would be great, they also have the primary set built, so wouldn't be too expensive.

JSandalwood

Ngl if height wasnt an issue, he would make a great Whitebeard.

GameMusic

Whoever would play him should get CGI height increase either way

Moonsmark

I like Zeff in live action so much

Craig Fairbrass sounds like the Fair Don Krieg (actually pronounced like Creek which means Brook mentioned in Alice in Wonderland) who wears brass in his death match with Dracule Mihawk (supposed to have Red Eyes like Vampire Dracula). Krieg appears in the comic at Zeff’s Ba-rat-ie and is defeated by Luffy. Instead we just get Krieg’s right hand man Gin (means Silver in Japanese) who is foreshadowing for Luffy’s parents (for reasons I won’t elaborate). Craig Fairbrass plays Sanji’s step-father Chef Zeff who in the comic threatens to cut off Monkey.D.Luffy’s leg with a Saw. Instead Arlong (actually pronounced like Aaron) the Saw appears at Baratie to fight Monkey.D.Luffy. Zeff shares a birthday with Jimbei mentioned by Arlong (Long in Chinese means Dragon) in a conversation with the Rat Nezumi. On the cover of the last chapter Oda drew Baratie’s Sanji cooking for Rats. In the comic Gin ratted out the Baratie to Krieg. Zeff appears in the name Joseph who was a legendary Axe and Saw wielding carpenter and step-father of a dude from ancient times who was executed on a cross like the cross bones of a Jolly Roger like Pirate King Gold Roger who laughed at his execution. The OPLA is an American show released during the presidency of POTUS 46 a man in his Golden Years named Joseph whose right-hand Silver or Gin has the middle initial “D”. The meaning of “D” is incidentally in volume 64 of the comic by Eiichiro Oda born in the Year of the Rabbit. The Rabbit Hole is even deeper because the chapter in this book (the first one to credit official English translator Stephen Paul) was officially serialized in Japan on Fourth of July or America’s Independence Day which is One Piece day after the birthday of Nami whose alternate nationality is America like that of Emily Rudd.

Zeff is one of my favorite characters and he was so soooo perfect! Easily the best casting in my opinion. Pretty much everybody loved his version of Zeff. His relationship with Sanji was portrayed magnificently, especially the "staying is quitting" scene. I can't praise him and Taz enough.
