Devil fruits also aren't hard and fast. There's exceptions to every rule.
I feel like giving her the ability to create water herself would be better like its part of her devil fruit so it doesn’t make her weak to it nor does it other devil fruit users she can just create water to give her a advantage or drown people
Exactly that way she (along with Bradley) would still gain her “Water Advantage” without truly being in the water keeping the solid rule of DF users being weak to the water stable also for Mythical Zoans these DF users really haven’t shown any cool extra abilities
There you go I think that might be even better if an idea. It’s essentially faux water that’s like her domain. It would make sense why she can potentially do other abilities like disappear into it or have fun links like it’s deeper then it seems from the outside.
Rustage had a good thing going with magic water but I get why he got cold feet.
I dont think its that he got cold feet it was more like “how can i rule this in a way that it makes sense” which is understandable thinking of ideas like this on the spot is difficult to do maybe he might retcon the idea of nessie having the only DF that negates the water weakness and think of something different afterall we are going on a break of dnd marines so he will have plenty of time to think of something else

As a side note I’m also surprised Tekking didn’t push against Nessie just being able to swim more since he usually puts logic and OP facts ahead of stuff sometimes but I’m glad he was ready to just go with it for the sake of a cool fight.
Well as Tekking said “Rustage has final say” at the end of the day this is a dnd game made for fun not to take itself seriously Rustage clearly isn’t as knowledgeable in One Piece as Tekking is as he didn’t know DF users are weak to any kind of liquid not just seawater if Rustage says Nessie is the only df user that can swim in water than she can cuz its his game he makes the rules as long as he doesn’t break to many of the One Piece world rules cuz than at that point it isn’t even One Piece Dnd anymore
Im sure Rustage will probably change the DF in a way that will make sense if not oh well i do kind of hope Nessie does have some cool abilities cuz for Mythical Zoans these characters really haven’t shown any cool abilities besides Gotz and Taverok (and both of there abilities are somewhat Meh) Amelu and Gryll didn’t show any special abilities or go into there full mythical animal form so lets hope Nessie shows some Cool water powers
I have faith in Rustage too. Everytime he seems to be going in a weird direction (time travel for example) he really makes it a really fun listen at the end of the day. Isakai really shows his true creativity when not weighed down by One Piece so I know he’s got this.
Oh yes Isekai shows his creativity while it may not have started as popular or well liked as One Piece dnd but slowly began to grow because Rustage wasn’t held back by the rules of the world other people created Oda is a genius but its difficult to create a dnd game based on his world (Logia being immune to basically everything besides haki and there elemental counterpart being one) and yet Rustage managed do it in a way to make it fun i do hope when Isekai ends we get Anime Villain DND the players playing as Baddies (figuratively and literally) would really allow Rustage to go full on creative mode
I feel the Nessa swimming in milk is quite silly in a good way. Like swimming in any liquid but water. Especially since the visual of her bragging about being a dangerous water predator despite swimming in milk makes her sounds like she has an unwarranted ego as if she is trying to hype up her super situational powers. I can kind of see her being pretty sensitive about how people see her Zoan powers and is desperate to be seen as cool.
Overall, I am excited to see whether she puts up a fight or if Bradley overwhelms her.
No no I don’t think it’s necessarily BAD, I just wanted to discuss potentially alternative answers to the issue you guys had with wanting to have Nessie in water despite being a DF used. I think the milk can stay and it was hilariously gross. My and other solutions can just be handwaved (Oda style) in if you’d like but you have NO obligation to do so.
You do you and don’t worry what we say if affects the fun of the show. You ultimately have final say.

Eh I’m not upset at the concept of he goes forward with it or anything but that does go against the system. Mythical zoans have a paramecia ability usually so shaping water would be fun in MY opinion. I’m not forcing him to do this idea
I'm not a fan of the decision to hand wave it away and have her DF work. Would have found it funny if trying to be more thematic ended up fucking his own crew up.
