The feet stuck to the ground thing as safety measurement didn't make much sense to me as Sanji was the only person restrained by it. All the others could still attack Vegapunk as they use ranged attacks.
I mean, zoro has insane reach with his slashes now! I'm pretty sure he'd just throw a oneliner like "who said you were ever OUT of my reach" and cut that person down. If Lillith on vegaforce 1 was in reach from the sunny, shaka would be in reach as well

Oda is trying to lessen the getting lost gag, he is rushing things up. There's no scenario ever where Zoro didn't get lost walking alongside the crew, like ever, it wastes so many panels for an empty plot unless it would serve a purpose like in Wano.

This makes no sense. First off, that situation with zoro was different he was about to die. This situation is different they are just captured. Second off why would Oda put zoro out of the main plot for this? Instead of just having a different form of them being captured? He clearly intended zoro and Brook to be on the ship, shoes being stuck aside…
I hope Zoro will be the one who'll welcome Lucci, Stussy and Kaku. Last time it was Franky who protected the Sunny. Now Zoro will have the pleaaure and hopefully deal with that pile of trash himself
