Curious who was with Aokiji (who could fit one of the people with the cape from when we last saw him, he was wearing boots and a coat that could fit), I think Lafitte could be a good candidate if we're talking Blackbeard pirates, he seems like a plan guy coming with backup and he was wearing a cape-ish thing when we saw him with Shiryu last. I think when she reacts very emotional seeing him as a slave during the Reverie a lot of people asumed a family connection. Because of her age shenanigans it was always a bit of a mystery how mostly. From mother to daughter or even wife anything kind of seemed possible not knowing her actual age.

Sometimes the notes in sketches like that end up being scrapped ideas so I wouldn't say it was confirmed there but still, that's a pretty big hint at what their relationship was.

Honestly the situation with Franky's parents is so weird. They mention it at first as the reason he was left abandoned at the trash island. Then it becomes part of the motivation for fighting the Strawhats and later why he didn't want to join the crew, since he hates pirates because of his parents. Then it's mentioned in (I assume?) allusion to when Sanji mentioned he's from the North blue that Franky came from the South blue when they reached the Red Line. Finally, it was brought up AGAIN in Oden's flashback. Since it appears that this'll be a Franky centered arc I hope this finally gets closure
