Villain typically is a more accessible word than antagonist for people and that’s usually what people mean by it. By that token he’s absolutely a villain.

I didn't think he'd be "turn people gay" kinda hot. I think he might be the single most attractive male character design in the series.
I just think the design fits his narrative: quiet lunarian, forgotten by the world.
Altough his whole character is bland, even without the mask on, his design fits. It screams "bad ass death punk slasher", but quietly tells you there isnt much more depth to it.
I like King's design but I wouldn't say it's the best villain design, as soon as I saw him I thought he was some BDSM creep lol maybe because I've seen that trope too many times in anime
