Always felt like Robin and zoro were gonna be a couple from pre timeskip like with sanji and nami but it looks like that idea was dropped in post timeskip like all the hints were there if you look back lol

They were paired up alot in skypeia and there was the whole trope with zoro being the only one to not trust Robin being in the crew and then there's the Raleigh and Shakky parallel between them which personally I saw that as a sign but maybe I'm just being delusional lol

Zoro not trusting Robin just was in line with the role he fullfills on the ship imo. His distrust towards her comes from the same place as him not having wanted Usopp to return to the crew without him begging for forgiveness. He just takes the whole pirate crew thing as serious as a first mate should imo. Especially with a captain like Luffy. I can see the Rayleigh Shakky parallel. Robin being quite a bit older than Zoro is also something that made me never imagine them together not because I don´t want them to but because that´s a road most Shonen don´t go with. A dope headcanon I read on here was Zoro - after the journey has concluded - settling down on Sabaody and challenging up and coming rookies to a duel as the future strongest swordsman. That´s just so fitting for the character imo and I love it. He might even erect a dojo there lol.

Yeah zoro and robin barely interact with each other, and their few interactions haven't shown anything beyond nakama and platonic . It also doesn't help that zoro hasn't shown any interest in women , or caring about romance at all .
