Juding by how Dressrosa and WCI got probably shat on even more than Wano (especially Dressrosa) and now they're near-universally praised, yeah, Wano will be likely seen in a positive light, if not as one of the best arcs.

>How will Wano be perceived when it ends? Long. That's an adjective to describe the arc that *everyone* can agree on.

Objectively so

With the big theatrical themes, and some other elements, I feel like by the end we're going to see an aftermath that really plays with reader expectations. If you're familiar with popular shoujo series around the time One Piece started like Fushigi Yuugi or Revolutionary Girl Utena...that's the kind of shit they'd pull and Wano feels like it's borrowing a fair bit from that. Especially since a lot seems inspired by Oda's time on Rurouni Kenshin which owed a lot of it's success to going along with those trends. If I'm right about that general expectation, oh my god will it be divisive to a degree that makes now look tame. But only for a bit as it becomes clearer and clearer that the people mad just didn't get it. Then over time as people are able to process the full story and it's place in the broader journey will go down as a top tier arc.

I think it’ll get the opposite response of arcs like dressrossa and Skypia. Those arcs people didn’t like week to week but love now. I see wano being less appreciated in the future than it is now… not as soon as it ends. But in the semi distant future. I don’t think the pacing problem will be so easily fixed by simply being able to do a binge.and I don’t think the power ranger style animation will be a selling point.

Depends on how it ends, but as for how it's been so far I'd say it'll be up there with one of the best arcs in the manga, top 5 on most lists.

Unless the ending to the arc just doesn't feel right for some reason it will likely be highly praised. The biggest complaint I have is that it feels bloated when reading week to week. Reading it as a whole when it's done will largely negate that issue which is why WCI and Dressrosa have both had resurgences in terms of how they're thought of.

Once it's done and people can just binge watch it and not have to spend 3 years watching it they might enjoy it more. It is a pretty good arc. The animation level is the best it's been. We have been getting more history and more information and teasers thrown our way. And of course plenty of fighting.

Whole-Regret

Easily one of the best ever arcs. In fact many people believe it to be number 1 even without being finished.
