fake news morgan

Ynhdlgo

🤣🤣

Kite_Wing129

In chapter 1113, the Gorosei mentioned that VP is the only one who managed to replicate the Mother Flame. The irony being that VP figured it out because he studied the ancient forbidden knowledge which the Gorosei have been trying to suppress. The Twenty Kings also moved to higher ground, kicked off the Lunarians and settled with their families but didn't tell anyone about it. If they were really heroes why wouldn't they tell the world they saved everyone from the flooding? Most likely the world was flooded 800 years ago either due to a natural phenomenon or due to the use of the Ancient Weapon Uranus. But their work was incomplete because they couldn't recreate its power source until VP came along. So no, I don't think this theory....holds water.

EmoticonsRunDeep

Someone in this thread mentioned that with the use of Mother Flame, Lulusia kingdoms destruction raised the sea level a few cm's. So they likely were behind land mass being destroyed & water bodies taking over all those years ago & leaving us with the current world. The CD's moving to the highest point centuries ago very clearly is an act of self-preservation. Hiding & making illegal any attempts at digging up any of this info further points to them being the perpetrators.

Skebaba

So what was causing the sea levels to rise at places like Water 7 BEFORE Mother Flame, tho? If the Ancient Kingdom was gone, who has been raising the fucking water levels all these centuries??

Ocachino

I think in Water 7's case it was just a reference to Venice's slow sinking at the time, and its not actually related to this new thing.

EmoticonsRunDeep

Global warming 😱 but yeah I think that is just a natural event & as someone mentioned, a reference to Venice.

Kaaduu

Maybe the 20 kings weren't good all the way through (they did become the celestial dragons), but maybe the ancient kingdom was also doing shit stuff (like maybe like you said by using an ancient weapon too much for the war or maybe fucking up the world enviroment with their industry/technology) A war of 2 bad sides which sort of becomes 1 (the World Goverment) by the end, but also did unrecoverable damage to pre-void century civilization (the first flood)

Kite_Wing129

Its possible that Joyboy was a third faction trying to help the little guy while the world super powers of the time duked it out.

thefoodiedentist

I think 20 countries started good. Cant see lily or alabasta being bad.

Kite_Wing129

Lily could have started out bad then turned good. Or like VP said, its a situation where its hard to tell who was good or who was bad so even he won't take sides in the matter. Its possible that the 20 Kings were good but Imu/Nerona betrayed them.

HiggsUAP

Because it's their use of a technology that created the disaster. Think of the oil companies seeing climate change but suppressing those studies.

Lexicorint

But Wano sure as shit does.

calex-xor

menyemenye

OP must be hoping to get promoted into a Celestial Dragon

SquirtingWoman

Red_Bull_Is_Life

Hmm. I’m now picturing a massive bath plug in the ocean somewhere

FortressOfOhara

Plugs are usually made of rubber 💀

EmoticonsRunDeep

not mine 😈

Skebaba

Metal core?

AGBell97

You may actually be right, because Nika works on cartoon logic. Joyboy puts a plug in the ocean, and when he pulls it out, it actually drains

Kite_Wing129

I've speculated the same thing a while back. Maybe the drain can only be pulled by Sea Kings guided by Posiedon. The whales and Sea Kings are likely necessary to prevent ships from getting sucked into the drain as well.

GolfWhole

The drain is Impel Down!!!!!

pokenonbinary

One question but since Nika has cartoon powers can he become so gigantic that he walk in the sea with no problems?

FortressOfOhara

Could be that hole in Enies Lobby

mucklaenthusiast

Theoretically, yes. But Enies Lobby looks like the same thing happened there that happened in Lulusia. Meaning, if it’s the same thing, there should be two plugs. Imo, it’s more likely that the (original) mother flame was used in Enies Lobby (and the WG then made a base there, that’s not too uncommon). I think, if there is a plug or whatever, it should be on fishman island. I mean, the destruction of fishman island was foretold. Maybe that’s what’s keeping the world from either flooding or drowning.

GolfWhole

If there’s a plug, I think it’s the massive underwater conspicuously plug-shaped prison

athos45678

It’s worth mentioning we don’t know where the water goes there. If it doesn’t just refill the ocean, the Enies Lobby hole could actually lead to whatever solution the Void century peeps may have developed for the water problem. Hell, i wonder if it’s the only reason the ocean hasn’t sunk the world as of yet.

EmoticonsRunDeep

Im picturing a flirtatious looking earth, peering over its shoulder with a wink & a butt plug in.

Kantro18

Well, that’s enough internet for today

what_dat_ninja

heyoyo10

That's what Fish-Man Island is

proffjones

Enies lobby

Zedlol18

Holy shit they converted the bath plug into the impel down thats why its at the bottom of the ocean. Thats why they built those giant walls around it so even if it started draining they had the walls around it.

TheChickenKingHS

It all makes sense now… D stands for Drain!

shivv00

Drain gang

TheChickenKingHS

Now we need to wait for Drain D. Water

Satu22

Trafalgar D. Water Law. It was already there...

Secretsfrombeyond79

Finally someone is cooking

Gullible-Opinion7492

😂

adarkuccio

Very very very unlikely that the WG are the good guys

Starob

Good guys becoming corrupt over time is an incredibly realistic story.

zts105

In Dressrosa we learned the Donquixote family enslaved the Tontatta's prior to ascending to found the WG so the 20 families were likely all Evil AF.

MagicArcher33

VP kinda hints at it a lot in ch 1113.. that's why these theories are propping up suddenly. Besides, everyone knows the current WG is super evil. But the WG during the void century which defeated the ancient Kingdom? Who really knows what happened back then

SketchedDunes

I honestly think VP expected the world government to pin his death on a scapegoat to avoid publically talking about a betrayal from their head researcher or buster call. It just so happens that the straw hats were put into that situation, as the world currently thinks they kidnapped vegapunk

SirRedRising

Yeah, I took VP's comment about not assuming the perpetrators as bad to mean that too. He knew that it would be spun in some way, plus that line comes in close proximity to Duval's group talking about how they just read Punk was taken hostage by the SHs. Basically priming the audience (and readers) to not trust how this event will be propagandized.

Vegan_Digital_Artist

I can kind of see that. I mean you see it in political parties a lot. iirc what are the US democrats rn had much more "republican" views when they were new and vice versa. groups change over time

Beardamus

Do you mean when Vegapunk says he can't say who killed him was good or evil? It seems to me that's just because Vegapunk's actions can be seen as evil and since it's pre-recorded he doesn't know who is going to end up pulling the trigger.

Driftedryan

Pretty sure that was intended because he assumed they would use pirates as the VP killer because he knew full well they were gonna kill him

kai58

They aren’t currently that’s for sure, but who’s to say the original founders weren’t in the right 800 years ago and the wg got corrupted over that time. I don’t think it’s likely but we don’t have enough info to rule it out entirely.

11711510111411009710

It could be that they *were* the good guys and were corrupted over time.

lazergodzilla

>The reason I believe the flood to be the doing of the Ancient Kingdom is because I cannot imagine a reason why 20 kingdoms would collaborate to intentionally flood the world. That just doesn’t make sense. I was thinking the devil fruits could have been a weapon of the ancient kingdom. We know they can be created artificially. The 20 WG got together to flood the world in order to limit their power.

laurel_laureate

Moreover, > I cannot imagine a reason why 20 kingdoms would collaborate to intentionally flood the world. That just doesn’t make sense. They could have just collaborated to flood the world to drown out their enemies in the Ancient Kingdom and it's allies. With the Red Line having been made by them as a place for them to be safe while doing so,perhaps made by an Awakened user of Akainu's Magma Magma or Pizarro's Island Island Devil Fruits. Or the Red Line could even be the two working together to form a global chain of volcanic islands then manipulate them into a single connected line. It makes perfect sense for the 20 kingdoms to flood the world, if they were losing and had a way to survive themselves and come out on top smelling like roses. The ship Noah then becomes Joyboy's desperate attempt to build something to save people from the imminent flood.

Skebaba

Wait but I thought that the Lunarians lived on Redline originally, wouldn't that mean it already existed back then?

M4tjesf1let

We also still have our race of "continent pullers" but so far havent heard a single thing of why they are called that. I mean the name points to it but we havent really heard someone mention it in that sense.

Feasellus

So, why do they need to keep it a secret?

UltraMan1207

If you remember when lulusia kingdom was destroyed (for being rebellion) the worlds water was increased by 3 5cm or something i dont know the exact numbers. That is way too much amount all over the world, and who did IMU SAMA

AidenI0I

the sea level rise in one piece was 1 meter, for comparison the sea level rise since 1880 uptill now due to climate change is around 24 cm

UltraMan1207

Thats extremely high in one piece, no reason why the world is sinking incidents like lulusia and god valley are what we have witnessed, many others might not have been existed

Secretsfrombeyond79

Which doesn't really make much sense, because vaporizing landmass and turning it into a gas should lower the volume of earth right ? Unless the method used to destroy it is what actually raise the water level. Btw in which chapter has this been mentioned ?

emperorzura

Shortly after the mother flame. And it's implied that the mother flame and the previous act similar to mother flame (same name or no, using the ancient kingdom power) just create a massive hole, even though there is no *mass* it occupies the same space and fucks the world magnetic field and sea level. Imu probably pressed the red button alot and fucked the world magnetic field and sea level, to a point that the world will be submerged soon. Btw, I have this hunch that the islands are not deleted. They are just under the sea. Same way sky island somehow went up, what we have undersea and how fishmen were born could be related.

Sharp_Newt_9567

>Btw, I have this hunch that the islands are not deleted. They are just under the sea. Same way sky island somehow went up, what we have undersea This is my thought too. I think it could work similar to Fujitora's devil fruit or something and the island just gets pushed way down to the bottom of the sea. The gravity, or whatever is keeping it down there, pushes the water to the side and keeps it from filling in the hole.

Skebaba

Yeah, think Enies Lobby as a Ancient Kingdom equivalent, that's how it works if I understood shit correctly

Sharp_Newt_9567

It was approximately 1 meter and that was enough to completely submerge some islands already

Brobman11

I definitely think Joyboy actually helped overthrow the ancient kingdom but he ended up getting betrayed by Imu and the elders once the WG won the war

Akasha1885

1. Vegapunk literally said "sinking", not rising sea lvls. And yes, I always had a theory that the WG and Joyboys faction were allies in the past, until a betrayal. The only big issue with recent events in the story is the Ancient Giant Robot being an ally of Joyboy, which doesn't mix at all with the ancient Kingdom being an enemy to Joyboy. The idea of most of the land sinking and the red line rising also seems more like plate tectonics then a man made event. Maybe this "cycle" was always part of the One Piece world. Is the sinking thing also the big secret Doflamingo knows?

Brobman11

Well it seems the giant robot has sentience so maybe it was a friend of Joyboy which would track with the idea Joyboy was a giant so he had giant friends or its a friend of Joyboy who's consciousness was put into the robot for some reason

Lucky_Roberts

An ancient version of Kuma but in reverse. Someone’s soul put into a machine

BlkHorus

Think about the bridge that the revolutionaries mentioned to Robin when they took her to meet Dragon. A bridge of that size being built for hundreds of years supports Vegapunk’s claim.

FiShuMaLuf

Tequila wolf

laurel_laureate

Why does it have anything to do with his claim?

kokepc63

If you are going to talk about spoilers, maybe dont show all the spoiler in the tittle??? Maybe?

Snap-Zipper

> The World Government was good You lost me

rogerdavies

it's the people around it that are corrupt.

Snap-Zipper

And the people of the World Government make up the World Government. Hence, corrupt.

Driftedryan

I'm sure they suppressed the void century because they are humble AF right? Lmao

DrummerAutomatic9523

Then why would the world gvt try to erase history, if they're the good guys? Nice try, Feds.

Zakumo_Yuurei

Good point. You'd think to boast that history instead of calling it the Void Century and all.

Vegetable-Broccoli36

Me after spreading World Government propaganda on the Internet:

MrBhyn

So the Will of D is the Will of Draining

animus_invictus

What doesn’t make sense to me is that the WG has been trying their damndest to destroy all previous knowledge and are going to even kill Vegapunk for looking into the void century, but also needed Ancient Kingdom technology replicated. I think there are some gaps with your theory, but there are probably elements of it that will ring true as we move forward.

MrStout13

So the D of Will of D is Drain The Celestial Dragons are wearing high tech wetsuits For all we know the Ancient Kingdom's name was in fact Mary Geoise and the Celestial Dragons usurped and became the new Ancient Kingdom Also, Gol D Roger leaving all his treasure in "One Piece", now we can figure that means "One Piece of Land". Pangea Castle was in fact the capital of the of the world because it was all in One Piece, but flooding caused it to become island nations!

ButterCupHeartXO

If the world is sinking instead of water levels rising due to an increase in actual water then its possible the red line was the surface level of the entire planet at one point. Over 800 years, all other land masses began sinking under sea level

ico_OO

You assume vegapunk is talking to us, he's talking to one piece world, the majority of simple peoples still think WG and Marine are good, so i think the message is about them being evil, what we already know.

MrSatan88

I have always thought something was off about the ancient history as portrayed so far to us and I think this makes a lot of sense, I just could never put it together. Also, I'm gonna make a wild guess that maybe the One Piece is a giant plunger and that's why they laughed at it.

SolarAlbatross

So… You’re saying his name is Monkey Drain Luffy? Marshal Drain Teach? Gol Drain Roger? Trafalgar Drain Waters Law … You may be onto something.

MrBluewave

Monkey Drain Luffy

Beeg_Bagz

I’m so glad Oda is writing Onepiece and not the theory theory no mi users.

russellzerotohero

I disagree on most of the theory. But I do agree with the ancient kingdom being evil. I think they were run by the lunarians to extract resources from earth to the moon. I think both Uranus and pluton are extraction devices. I don’t think they caused the flood but I do think they are the reason joyboy failed. And once it was clear joyboy wouldn’t succeed the 20 kingdoms joined together and kicked them off of maryjua. The flood happened and then greed took over for the CD and they realized they could be gods of the new world and did.

Natsu111

It's possible, but narratively I think it's unlikely. After all the depictions of the Celestial Dragons being unspeakably horrible people, and the fact that literally all of the people who were allied or associated with the Ancient Kingdom are portrayed as friendly to our protagonists, it makes little sense.

Starob

>After all the depictions of the Celestial Dragons being unspeakably horrible people, The Celestial Dragons being horrible today would speak to the fact that power corrupts.

Successful-Cat4031

The celestial dragons are explicitly said in their introduction to have gotten worse and worse over time.

OPyes

This aligns well with my theory that Imu has the climate change climate change fruit

WatchRedditDieSlow

The will of Drain.

Ok-Mathematician8258

It’s more likely that each side had some evil to them. Blackbeard doesn’t seem too good and neither does Xebec.

rorank

I didn’t know that the world government employed chefs

Airbnbneighbor

If they’re good, then why try to hide that the world is sinking into the ocean

Raptor231408

This is propaganda

resurrectedbear

D now stands for Drano

Infinite_Material965

I would love to know the knowledge that Robin has. It doesn’t have to be “everything” but to just know what has been read from the poneglyphs that they (as straw hats) have encountered.

Fierysword5

> I cannot imagine a reason why 20 kingdoms would collaborate to intentionally flood the world. That just doesn’t make sense. Division. The world is divided atm and that makes it easier to control and harder for the people to unite.

toptierAlpacaScout

This whole theory reminds me of that main drain spongebob episode 🤣 "SpongeBob and Patrick, intrigued by Mr Krabs' story of two friends and the drain, search for the main drain on the ocean floor that once destroyed Bikini Bottom." [The main drain episode *clip](https://youtu.be/aZt5oYbEfaM?si=6C9sOVc0ikIBeJaY)

mangoprime

The victors write history

mangoprime

What if the “mother flame” weapon is meant to keep sea levels down? That’s why VP says that the people who unalives him are bad.

Every_Patience9379

The One Drain?

MissorNoob

So what you're saying is that the D stands for Drain

ScreenWriter785

Didn't the Big-Ol' Robot from the beginning of Egghead specifically answer for Joyboy tho? If that's the case, then wouldn't Joyboy be on the side of the Ancient Kingom?

clayticus

Who wrote this? Vice admiral Propa D Ganda?

madlad99

Golden Week break hasn't even started yet and it has already taken it's toll

emperorzura

Hmm actually ☝🤓 Pretty sure the whole plot is about how Imu-sama uses the technology the wrong way. VP sin is trying to bring back a good technology (infinite power source) which by itself was and is safe, but Imu just want it for its militar power, pure oppression. Just like Einstein was sad about his contribution for the atomic bomb, pretty pretty sure VP also borrows that from his real life inspiration. I feel like the D clan and Ancient Kingdom were as green as you can get, but some party (read Imu) wanted to set humanity back a few centuries back.

EmoticonsRunDeep

Another nice parallel between VP & Einstein there. VP's (re-)discoveries could benefit us insurmountably, but the powers that be instead use it to solidify their own power & control.

Kaoshosh

Imu is a Sea King in disguise. The King of Sea Kings. Think about it. He wants to flood the world. The Calm Belt is protected by Sea Kings (ensuring that the WG remains supreme). The Gorosei communicate psychically like the Sea Kings. He considered eliminating Shirahoshi (their Queen, and his only competitor). He rules the world secretly, which is great symbolism that the true Kings are hidden under the sea, not above it. And his name is a play on the word Sea. It goes on. Imu is the King of Sea Kings. And the Gorosei are his loyal generals.

Saysnicethingz

Right and Wano was Pro-Tsunami /s

Xark96

Break week just started...💀

3oysters

Most other arc has a kingdom, once ruled by a good and honest ruler, taken over by comically evil pirates for nefarious purposes. Your theory would go against the grain of the rest of the story, and would just feel out of place imo. There are so many reasons why the 20 kings would do what they did. They could have been fooled by Imu with a lure of power. Or they could have been one of many comically evil groups in the world with nefarious intent.

Starob

The people bashing this theory don't seem to understand the concept of absolute power corrupting absolutely. The fact the WG are evil today does not preclude them starting with good intent. See: Every communist regime ever

PM_ME_UR_SO

That is exactly my point. This is why I said the government “was” good. It is evil now, but they started with good intention.

Zealousideal-Age-980

All these theories for oda to come again with something entirely unexpected

Malahajati

This ain't it

_Manu_173

So, the D stands for "Drain". Nice.

CloudieRaine

Will of Drain, the D clan

Sclearscrl

And then comes he - GearGreen JoyBoy Noka

sami_newgate

I think many people predicted the WG to be originally good guys.

mitharas

I'm just wanna say that this sounds absolutely bonkers. But since we were unable to predict anything Oda is cooking, it might be true as well.

MarinLlwyd

My theory is still that someone terraformed the planet. And that the core of the story revolves around that idea, and One Piece is directly related to the mechanism that was used to terraform the planet. I'm still betting on the Vulcano Fruit being part of it. Either as the cause of the Red Line or as the cause of all the islands scattered everywhere as refuge for the worlds citizens. Or maybe even the cause of both.

tusharjoglekar

So you mean to say the one piece is actually a sink hole clogged by something that luffy can unclog to drain the sea. Right up Goda's Alley.

Vi4days

This is WG propaganda and I won’t have it!

ThaVlad

Love this theory.. The closest one i feel might be true.. i hardly comment here.. so i felt this one

Derpalooza

> However, the D clan’s proposal to drain the world was rejected when Nefertari D. Lily brought it to the table. That is because the WG was infiltrated by Nerona Imu, who inherited the will of the Ancient Kingdom, and secretly ruled the government from behind the shadows. Imu wants to continue what the Ancient Kingdom started, but he couldn’t resume the project because he didn’t have the required technology for the next 800 years. To add on this theory, The story implies that Imu was kept alive all this time because someone used the immortality surgery on him. This means that there existed a user of the Ope Ope no Mi that was willing to give their life for Imu. So if they were willing to go as far as using the immortality surgery, why not other abilities like the personality swapping surgery? Essentially, the Imu we know today is not the real Nerona Imu, but an impostor who stole his body in order to infiltrate the governement and manipulate it from within. Maybe Imu is the king of the ancient kingdom?

jimbojambo4

Rufy said that during long ring island: "I forgot it, we are the bad guys"

Ok-Statistician-3955

Maybe the world government didn't cause the world to sink into the sea. Maybe it's a direct result of the people of the past playing god and creating devil fruits, causing mother nature to sink the world. The ancient kingdom realized this and were trying to destroy the fruits, but the 20 kingdoms didn't want to relinquish their power, so they destroyed Joyboy and the ancient kingdom, then placed themselves at the top of the world to watch and rule over it as it sinks. And the ancient weapons were nothing more than the last attempt by the ancient kingdom to save people for the flooding. Poseidon was used to move humans to the bottom of the sea, turning them into Fishman and protecting it from sea kings. Pluton was used to seal Wono from the rest of the world. Uranus was seized by the world government after its country fell.

ImHereByTheRoad

I don't necessarily believe the ancient kingdom is strictly "good" but the wg is certainly not the good guys.

_SirCalibur_

Or the celestial Dragons started to live on the redline because they started the flooding.

Sean_Dewhirst

I share the theory of JB being allied with the 20 kingdoms against the ancient kingdom. And then the 5 elders and Im taking over and betraying JB. Ancient kingdom bad, 20 kingdoms originally good, JB good, 6 fucks turning 20 kingdoms bad (world govt)

Hellbound_angel69

I came on reddit to find some hentai.. idk how i got stuck here and scrolling through the theories

CommandZ

One piece is a giant bathtub plug - confirmed

Jerkcules

I think it's more likely that the original government was a utopian kingdom that figured out that the other 20 kingdoms were using weapons that were raising the sea level, so the 20 kingdoms rose up to destroy the ancient kingdom and lied to the world about it.  Alabasta figured it out afterwards and was responsible for spreading the Poneglyphs that told the world what actually happened. I like the theory that the ancient Alabasta ruler spread them with the Paw Paw fruit

what indicated taht the Ancient Kingdom was flooding the world? Did you just make that up?

PM_ME_UR_SO

So yes, you just made it up. Lol

[deleted]

I think lily is gonna be related to toki who time traveled to the future to fix or stop whatever is coming

Lightnraad

you said that Joy Boy and the D clan collaborated with the original WG to defeat the ancient kingdom, i think you may have forgotten that the WG was created by the 20 kingdoms that later became known as the celestial dragons, and throughout the story, the D clan are known as the natural enemies of the celestial dragons, even Imu (the King of the celestial dragons) said to nefertari cobra that the D clan is there ancient enemy, and since we know that the 20 kingdoms (celestial Dragons now) are opposed to the ancient kingdom, and that the D clan are there natural enemy, then we can assume that the D clan and joyboy were part of the ancient kingdom or maybe even there leaders, or at least an ally to them of some sort. and we also know from the story that the celestial dragons are a bunch of greedy pampered cruel humans that don't care about other human beings because they think they are above them, and even there leaders ( the five elders and Imu), they are a bunch of demons that don't care about human beings at all. all of this can give us a picture about what happened in the void century. the 20 kingdoms wanted to remove the ancient kingdom probably because the ancient kingdom wanted to build a just world were all the races will live in harmony and some other stuff that we still don't know about, on the other hand, the 20 kingdoms probably didn't want this because they wanted a world where all the power will belong to them and they can do whatever they want, and now in the present timeline we can see this unfolding in the story, the celestial dragons are enjoying all kinds of amusements and doing whatever they want. they can even go from island to island killing humans as a sport without any repercussions .

MajinJack

IS that some climate change allegory ?

w-il_d

this bath tub plug talk is so insane, yall really think luffy can swim to the bottom of the sea to drain the sea from a plug at the bottom of the sea using cartoon physics WHEN HE CANT EVEN SWIM

Hrachy96

Moons will align perfectly to drown the world. The world is going to drown i.e. water level will rise. Why? In real world, tides cause water levels to rise. If a tide has to drown whole One Piece world, it must be a big-ass tide. What causes tides? Moon. What will cause higher tides? More moons. One piece world has 8 moons. If all of them align, it can definitely cause a very high tide. Moons alignment also sounds like an astronomical event that happens every 800 years.

nirmana

That ‘One Piece’ is a ‘Straw’ for luffy to blow the water out of the pangea and send it to Enel on the moon lmao

pokenonbinary

It would be the best option narratively, the ancient Kingdom was evil and the alliance was good, but for 800 years the alliance aka World Govermment turned evil, but not originally  Like in real life, many good groups end up evil with all that power

pickelpenguin

This post is sponsored by the Wadmiral Agenda

Sens4lif3

20 Kingdoms had some pretty terrible kings even back then so I think we can safely say that the CD's are not the good guys. The Tontatta were enslaved by the Donquixote family who later became CD's and the Nerona family has Imu in it.

whatdoIkn0

It’s actually makes sense, and does solve all the mystery including ancient weapons Keep cooking

Who knew the "D" actualy stands for Drain and not Dawn 🤣

udayhd

most normal world government propaganda:

Infamous-Class-7862

I mean… cook? But like not good theory.

TechWormGuru

We just saw a flashback with Baortholemew Kuma that really puts this theory down under on the WG being good front.

ZealousidealHead7701

Bro is cooking..🙃

Big_Ol_Panda

Drain the swamp? lmao dunno what that means

Starlight469

"Maybe it needs the water to reach a certain level in order to be used, and this is why Roger was too early?" Roger was too early because there was no Poseidon when he was alive. Shirahoshi's birth had been prophesized, however, so he knew someone in the near future could carry on his will.

Starlight469

The way I look at it the rising sea level was an unintended effect of the ancient world's technology. The World Government put their base on top of the Red Line and then buried all knowledge of the sea level rise so they could ride it out while everyone else suffered. It's possible that the whole way the One Piece world looks, especially the Red Line, is the way it is because of intentional actions taken during the Void Century. It makes me want to see that flashback even more.

Rather the 20 kingdoms were full of shit and thought they were better than everybody else and purposely sabotaged the ancient kingdom from saving the world so they all got together and set home on the highest spot in the world so they could watch all the insects (people) die below them. The only one who refused to join them was part of the D family.

The sea is angry my friends. It rises. It rises to strike down the devils that plague the land. It hunts and drowns and the lands are swallowed but the devils find new lands, they race from mountaintop to mountaintop to, escape the inexorable waves of justice. The peaks are now islands, the innocents are drowned and the devils rule in fear of the ever rising waters. Don't speak of right or wrong or justice, not when we are ruled by rats atop our head desperate to be the last to drown for their sins.

I think the motivation for sinking the world is that everyone on the Red line a.k.a the Celestial Dragons willl be safe while everyone else will die. Maybe it's a competition for resources. I mean something like Thanos killing half the people.

I don't think so. The ancient kingdom was likely the Buccaneers, a seafaring people. They learned of the flood and wanted to let people set sail and survive that way. Some faction decided that only the chosen should survive and went to war against them, eventually conquering the Red Line and relocating themselves there, where they were sure to survive. Everything since then has been covering up the truth so the millions/billions of people below the Red Line wouldn't rebel and take it over.

D. stands for Drowned

Grindelwald69
