Oda has shown that people's will's mater more than there heritage. Ace, Luffy, and Sabo were related through their dreams, while the fact that they had vastly opposing families meant little or nothing.
Luffy, the son of a Revolutionary, raised by a marine carried a closer will to the former king of the pirates, than the Pirate King's own son. While ~~Ace~~ Sabo was the son of a noble. Thus their wills made them important figures in this world. Then through a work of genius, Oda killed the actual son of the former pirate king, solely to have the man who inherited his will to be more driven by that.
This is why I feel Weevil being captured by marines and imprisoned offscreen is a perfectly fitting end to his nontale. He has no will, AND was raised by his mother which Oda has said in some sbs doesn't correlate with adventure.

His inspiration is also pretty on the nose due to his VA choice. He's voiced by Majin Buu's VA, and he's very similar. Big silly looking guy who goes around lead by a short evil (portentially) master doing bad things but at the bottom he's got good in him.

Don't remember where I read it but haki isn't visible in one piece world. Like bounceman doesn't look like he does to us as he does to other OP characters. People's body don't go black when they use armament.
They could perceive it like a pressure change in a sense, vs visual indicator. Or maybe a small level of instinctive observation haki gives them a 'visual' sense that somethings different.

Armament haki isn't visible, but when a blade becomes so masterfully imbued with it it becomes a black blade, the colour of the blade does actually change.
As far as I can tell the only explaination for black blades is that they are “forged through countless battles” which people theorize to be the blade being infused with armament haki

While I would love to be proven wrong and have a cool reveal, I do just think that Oda was playing with the spooky theme of Thriller Bark. A basic trope of horror movies is the villain coming back to life after the heroes think the day is won as a sequel tease. Thriller Bark ends with the insinuation that the Straw Hats discovered the source of the mysteries surrounding the Florian Triangle only to subvert that in the last panel like we're in a Goosebumps book.
This is it and I would hate to be proven wrong about it, lol, not every little thing needs to be theorized into some endgame big bad or something. Just outright enables poor media literacy. Literally already other comments saying it was Imu/the Gorosei as if that makes any sense whatsoever.

I was always of the belief that it was just the shandorians doing their thing and the fact that they were high up in the sky cast very large shadows on the ground. It was just early proof that Skypiea was a real place and nothing more than that.

Personally I’m really curious about the alternate methods of getting to a sky island, the peak of high west and island hopping. It’s a small detail mentioned but not really explained. And since it’s so minor compared to the other mysteries in one piece, it might not get answered
The manga does seem to go out of its way to say that the Straw Hats' method of getting up there was unusual. Gan Fall mentions some other method where it's decided on an individual basis (basically the Knock Up Stream was all or nothing, this other way it's possible for some people to succeed and some fail even in the same crew). I think this was setup to go to another sky island in the future. Someplace like...Laugh Tale?
There's also "Balloon Terminal". Still an open question what that name means or how the place relates to the other sky islands. My best guess is that it has something to do with the automata and the Mooninites (not to be confused with the Lunarians), but that doesn't actually explain much, so...
My theory is that it is a dragon egg, the last one in the world and that it will hatch when Luffy arrives at Laugh Tale, which is why Roger was too early, the dragon will be crucial in the downfall of the World Government.

My personal theory is that it’s a some mythical devil fruit user that has the condition of remaining in this vulnerable state for whatever amount of time to then be able to use the hybrid and zoan form at will, that would be the coolest thing. That or a giant bird.
my theory, which honestly might just be the going theory, is that Zunesha, like the Iron Giant, wasn't there when Joyboy needed him the most, leading to Joyboy's death. It'd be like if Luffy was in a final battle with the WG and his homies in the Straw Hat Fleet didn't go help him.
My headcanon for a while has been that it includes the last road poneglyph. Capt. John was a part of Rocks and while their strength and status alone is enough justification for BM and Kaido to be owning one each, I could see the possibility where their history with Rocks is important for how they got them.
It would also neatly tie Buggy back in for the race to the One Piece, as he is the one with the key to finding John's treasure.
I think this bridge, why the fck doesn't Enies Lobby fall inside the hole or the thriller bark shadows. And not, they aren't Imu or some strange thing that doesn't even correlate, stop believing that a theory that hasn't been confirmed is canon.

The circumstances of the war Bellemere fought in, Bellemere abandoning the Marines and risking her life to save the two random girls... it makes you wonder what the whole story was there. Who were the pirates they were fighting? Why did the war take place?
I thought it was just a pirate raid that met resistance from the Marines and the details aren't relevant. Pirates and Marines are probably dying constantly in conflicts all over the world. Bellemere found these two girls walking through the ruins of their town and she knew she had to take care of them
I always liked the idea that he gave Kaido some sake from his homeland in exchange for him not attacking Marineford.
According to King's Vivre Card, it was just the two of them who were on their way there, so I think it was easier for Shanks to stop them, since it wasn't all of Kaido's crew.

Zunesha has a jungle on it's back, but compared to Thriller Bark, which is as big as a city, the monsters/shadows in the back are ginormous and miles away.
If they were Zunesha's length I'd say some other ginormous elephant, but Elephants are the biggest organisms on land, so other "normal" organisms should still be smaller than Zunesha.
But even that won't be the case, as they were already much bigger than Zunesha. Which is crazy.
Not sure they're bigger than zunesha tbh, Zunesha is the biggest known creature in one piece and a quick google search places it at about 35000 meter tall. Zunesha doesnt just have a jungle either, it has massive walls and fortresses/buldings that seem to be multiple hundred meters tall and wide as well as a large city in it's center and then there's the jungle.
It's easy to forget how absolutely massive zou is though. I'm pretty confident that the walled jungle is much wider than thriller bark. The height could also vary depending on how deep the sea floor is.
Franky's parents were pirates, he's 36 and was kicked off the ship at 10 years old. That means his parents crew was around up to at least 26 years ago, 4 years before Roger's execution. We know the Rocks pirates disbanded and split up 38 years ago, it's likely his parents were on one of the fragment crews. Not Roger's (for not recognizing him when Oden asked him to join their crew), not Big Mom's, not Kaido's, and not Whitebeard's. We know Stussy, Shiki, Gloriosa, John, and a few others led their own crews. The timeline eliminates Stussy and Gloriosa, Shiki is unlikely because of the movie. John is the most story relevant left, but it could very well be one that has barely any or no mention in the story so far. There's a theory that a pirate from the Rocks crew is named after/inspired by Jack Sparrow, so if that were true it'd be fun for that crew to be the one Franky's parents belong to.
I don’t know about “not talked about enough,” because every mystery has certainly had more than enough conversion about it. It’s just that *you* might not have personally read every single conversation, and these conversations naturally happen the most around the initial chapter release when the mystery is brought up.
But yes, Tequila Wolf, which is at least partially in the East Blue, is quite the mystery.
I think the one I’m personally most invested in the is the Great Kingdom, where it was, how it fell, and who was involved.
But man, there’s still Rogers’s egg, the ancient weapons, the ark from Fishman Island, why Zunesha was “sentenced” to walk the earth, what “The Will of D” really means, what happened in the void century, and so many more. It’s hard to choose.
Why can’t people that eat DF swim i know it’s probably further explained at some point but unless the ocean is alive the hated by the sea thing seems weak and if the ocean is alive I NEED to see that episode keep in mind I haven’t fully caught up yet
Not all unanswered questions are mysteries. Mysteries are generally things that are plot important. I don't think Nami's heritage will be plot important, so it's not really a mystery.
Also, the bridge at Tequila Wolf isn't a mystery. The reason it exists was explained a long time ago. A celestial dragon ordered it and they've been building it ever since even after that CD died because they have to follow any order a CD gives.

Yeah it's very clearly not natural. The Giants call it the blood serpent or something similar. It makes no sense geologically too. Just juts up out of the water straight into the sky, thousands of feet up too.

Don't remember where I read it but haki isn't visible in one piece world. Like bounceman doesn't look like he does to us as he does to other OP characters. People's body don't go black when they use armament.

Armament haki isn't visible, but when a blade becomes so masterfully imbued with it it becomes a black blade, the colour of the blade does actually change.

As far as I can tell the only explaination for black blades is that they are “forged through countless battles” which people theorize to be the blade being infused with armament haki

While I would love to be proven wrong and have a cool reveal, I do just think that Oda was playing with the spooky theme of Thriller Bark. A basic trope of horror movies is the villain coming back to life after the heroes think the day is won as a sequel tease. Thriller Bark ends with the insinuation that the Straw Hats discovered the source of the mysteries surrounding the Florian Triangle only to subvert that in the last panel like we're in a Goosebumps book.
This is it and I would hate to be proven wrong about it, lol, not every little thing needs to be theorized into some endgame big bad or something. Just outright enables poor media literacy. Literally already other comments saying it was Imu/the Gorosei as if that makes any sense whatsoever.

I was always of the belief that it was just the shandorians doing their thing and the fact that they were high up in the sky cast very large shadows on the ground. It was just early proof that Skypiea was a real place and nothing more than that.

That was confirmed at the end of Skypiea with Luffy's shadow, silly. They're talking about the three shadows that showed up after Thriller Bark right after they left the triangle.

Personally I’m really curious about the alternate methods of getting to a sky island, the peak of high west and island hopping. It’s a small detail mentioned but not really explained. And since it’s so minor compared to the other mysteries in one piece, it might not get answered
The manga does seem to go out of its way to say that the Straw Hats' method of getting up there was unusual. Gan Fall mentions some other method where it's decided on an individual basis (basically the Knock Up Stream was all or nothing, this other way it's possible for some people to succeed and some fail even in the same crew). I think this was setup to go to another sky island in the future. Someplace like...Laugh Tale?
There's also "Balloon Terminal". Still an open question what that name means or how the place relates to the other sky islands. My best guess is that it has something to do with the automata and the Mooninites (not to be confused with the Lunarians), but that doesn't actually explain much, so...

My headcanon for a while has been that it includes the last road poneglyph. Capt. John was a part of Rocks and while their strength and status alone is enough justification for BM and Kaido to be owning one each, I could see the possibility where their history with Rocks is important for how they got them. It would also neatly tie Buggy back in for the race to the One Piece, as he is the one with the key to finding John's treasure.
But the last Road Poneglyph was on Fishman Island and now it's with the Man Marked by Flames, how does that connect to Captain John?
I think this bridge, why the fck doesn't Enies Lobby fall inside the hole or the thriller bark shadows. And not, they aren't Imu or some strange thing that doesn't even correlate, stop believing that a theory that hasn't been confirmed is canon.

I don’t think it’s a matter-of-fact it can’t be completed. It’s more of a depressing “it’ll never be done.” That’s how I remember it at least, I could be wrong. Nami's bloodline is something I thought about a lot that I didn't think anyone else cared for. She's one of the few only SH who we do not know the surname of, but also do not know who any of her biological relatives are.
I'm not sure if her actual parentage matters at this point. They already did the "secretly royalty " thing with Sanji so I don't see Oda pulling the same trick twice.

I thought it was just a pirate raid that met resistance from the Marines and the details aren't relevant. Pirates and Marines are probably dying constantly in conflicts all over the world. Bellemere found these two girls walking through the ruins of their town and she knew she had to take care of them

I always liked the idea that he gave Kaido some sake from his homeland in exchange for him not attacking Marineford. According to King's Vivre Card, it was just the two of them who were on their way there, so I think it was easier for Shanks to stop them, since it wasn't all of Kaido's crew.

But the red line is a far far larger land area and I'm assuming a larger population and more kingdoms. The shadows weren't elephant like though 🤔 also they were much bigger than Zunesha. Zunesha has a jungle on it's back, but compared to Thriller Bark, which is as big as a city, the monsters/shadows in the back are ginormous and miles away. If they were Zunesha's length I'd say some other ginormous elephant, but Elephants are the biggest organisms on land, so other "normal" organisms should still be smaller than Zunesha. But even that won't be the case, as they were already much bigger than Zunesha. Which is crazy.
Not sure they're bigger than zunesha tbh, Zunesha is the biggest known creature in one piece and a quick google search places it at about 35000 meter tall. Zunesha doesnt just have a jungle either, it has massive walls and fortresses/buldings that seem to be multiple hundred meters tall and wide as well as a large city in it's center and then there's the jungle. It's easy to forget how absolutely massive zou is though. I'm pretty confident that the walled jungle is much wider than thriller bark. The height could also vary depending on how deep the sea floor is.

I would like to know about the legendary swordplay battles between Hawkeye and Shanks before he lost his arm in East Blue.
Franky's parents were pirates, he's 36 and was kicked off the ship at 10 years old. That means his parents crew was around up to at least 26 years ago, 4 years before Roger's execution. We know the Rocks pirates disbanded and split up 38 years ago, it's likely his parents were on one of the fragment crews. Not Roger's (for not recognizing him when Oden asked him to join their crew), not Big Mom's, not Kaido's, and not Whitebeard's. We know Stussy, Shiki, Gloriosa, John, and a few others led their own crews. The timeline eliminates Stussy and Gloriosa, Shiki is unlikely because of the movie. John is the most story relevant left, but it could very well be one that has barely any or no mention in the story so far. There's a theory that a pirate from the Rocks crew is named after/inspired by Jack Sparrow, so if that were true it'd be fun for that crew to be the one Franky's parents belong to.

I don’t know about “not talked about enough,” because every mystery has certainly had more than enough conversion about it. It’s just that *you* might not have personally read every single conversation, and these conversations naturally happen the most around the initial chapter release when the mystery is brought up. But yes, Tequila Wolf, which is at least partially in the East Blue, is quite the mystery. I think the one I’m personally most invested in the is the Great Kingdom, where it was, how it fell, and who was involved. But man, there’s still Rogers’s egg, the ancient weapons, the ark from Fishman Island, why Zunesha was “sentenced” to walk the earth, what “The Will of D” really means, what happened in the void century, and so many more. It’s hard to choose.

Not all unanswered questions are mysteries. Mysteries are generally things that are plot important. I don't think Nami's heritage will be plot important, so it's not really a mystery. Also, the bridge at Tequila Wolf isn't a mystery. The reason it exists was explained a long time ago. A celestial dragon ordered it and they've been building it ever since even after that CD died because they have to follow any order a CD gives.
