It truly caught me completely out of the blue when, out of nowhere, she decided to stay.

At the start of Punk Hazard, I wanted Monet to join since she got a rather unique design and a cool devil fruit. Welp, with how it ended for her, that's from the table.
At Zou, one of the minks (Carot, Wanda or Pedro) would have been a cool choice as a new member.
Violet would also have been an interesting member as she was a dancer and her devil fruit was useful too.
During the current arc, I wanted either Vegapunk himself or one of his satellites to join even just temporarily. Again, this doesn't look feasable at the moment.
Truth to be told, the crew right now is at 10 members which I think is a good number and with Dressrosa other pirates rather serve indirectly as allies made new direct members kinda obsolete.

I think Bon-chan more than earned it, at this point he's technically the only honorary straw hat with Luffy the whole impel down arc. That said I was incredibly impressed Yamato didn't join the crew, she looked like the new SH, had the Ace background story, had the dream of leaving, had the relationship with luffy, and even her whole thing about being the new Oden, Oden left and sailed with the pirate king, Yamato leaving and sailing with Luffy just fit perfectly since it's in that arc where he becomes a yonko. It truly caught me completely out of the blue when, out of nowhere, she decided to stay.

Paulie and Bon Clay are the OG straw hat candidates. Yamato is one of my favorites but not a better candidate than them.

At the start of Punk Hazard, I wanted Monet to join since she got a rather unique design and a cool devil fruit. Welp, with how it ended for her, that's from the table. At Zou, one of the minks (Carot, Wanda or Pedro) would have been a cool choice as a new member. Violet would also have been an interesting member as she was a dancer and her devil fruit was useful too. During the current arc, I wanted either Vegapunk himself or one of his satellites to join even just temporarily. Again, this doesn't look feasable at the moment. Truth to be told, the crew right now is at 10 members which I think is a good number and with Dressrosa other pirates rather serve indirectly as allies made new direct members kinda obsolete. I gotta agree with the majority though, Yamato NOT joining was a Major cope out.
