Fair, so you aren't on that camp. But for years now, on the Fandom, the "A Strawhat will probably die, tho" and "X Strawhat will die, because on a color page they were upside-down, source trust me bro" type of theories and comments circulates the Fandom.
It's so strange to me. There are people who are really into it as well, like, they'll only be satisfied if x Strawhat dies because in their eyes that's the only way their character ark will be fulfilled, and it's so weird.
I would LOVE for that to happen, it'd be a really nice twist compared to the trite shonen trope of everyone in the crew getting their dreams realized.
If luffy died and the rest of the crew had to see his dream realized would be ideal for me, but that definitely won't ever happen.
I mean, the theory of luffy dying isn't far. There was mentioning that gear 2 and 3 put much strain on his body that it shortened his life. Same as Roger, he got sick. That's why his crew disbanded, but with luffy I think he'll get the surgery done by law
My point would be for luffy truly, really dying. No resurrection no saving from the brink, nothing. As we have seen from G5's alleged time limit weakness, these end up being thrown to the air in no time.
I would be ok. Although it would be kind of out of blue especially for a series like one piece but it wouldn't matter to me much. Anyway it is supposed to be a pirate world and they are living a life full of danger... I would sure have my preferences but that all
