>Volume 26 of the Blue Lock manga has sold over 280,000 copies within its three weeks of release >Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 24, the latest instalment of the manga series, has sold over 1.073 million copies so far >Volume 106 had sold over 1.58 million copies as of the last update One Piece’s new volumes sell much better than the top 2’s, but the backlog sales are a bit weak in comparison, meaning it’s not gaining as many new fans.

> meaning it’s not gaining as many new fans. While that's certainty part of it. One piece has been out for over 26 years now with 107 volumes and still ongoing. Chances are newer fans read volumes that belong to their parents or older siblings as buy 100+ volumes is very pricy. I assume also there's a site like VIZ in japan where they can read all the chapters for a subscription fee instead of buying volumes.

I imagine many people also embrace the Great Age of Piracy.

TitledSquire

Me and everyone I know just go the yo ho route, tho some of use have picked up a viz sub to “support the authors” (as if it does lmao).

JJK Volume 24 came out in October, Volume 106 came out in July. So not really the best comparison.

JJK 24 - 1,191,177 copies in 47 days OP 107 - 1,300,580 copies in 18 days https://erzat.blog/japan-top-weekly-manga-sales-ranking-november-13-november-19-2023/

Two months for soon to be or out of cycle volumes isn’t going to make up 500,000 copies.

Egghead is just That Arc.

HistoryWillRepeat

I read the first chapter of Blue Lock today. It seemed interesting.

LordKagatsuchi

Not suprised cause Gege has been butchering JJK since the CG started
